Chapter 371: Zul’kaan vekhda, Shaar’gul!!
Chapter 371: Zul’kaan vekhda, Shaar’gul!!
“H-He’s taken down almost thirty already…”
“No—forty! He just got another five!”
“H-How is he doing that…?”
“He moves as if he owns the skies…”
“How can a human move faster in sky than Winged Beasts?”
The Velmourn Flying Unit that was holding their position just as Kael ordered them to and were desperately observing the situation, making sure no Stonefangs passed them and moved towards the granary—couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
They all knew Kael was strong, he had defeated their Vice Commander in a one-sided battle, every man in the Watch knew that, but this…?
This was completely out of their expectation. They were already surprised how, under his command, they were able to stop all of the enemy’s Flying Unit with the meager numbers they had, but to think he was capable of this level of destruction all on his own…
It was quite… overwhelming to see.
Even the Velmourns at the Wall, who had been observing Lavinia and Lord Dragon dominating the Ground Unit, couldn’t help but turn around, watching how the Dragon Rider tore through the enemy’s formation and stopped them all on his own.
This was the first time they had seen something like this. Kael wasn’t just keeping them busy, he was taking them out at a ridiculous speed. This was also the reason the enemy had no choice but to face him—if they showed their backs and chased after Lavinia, even for a moment, Kael would appear next to them and they would fall.
For a single man to do all this to an entire Unit of strong warriors…
“You were wondering who the real Dragon Rider was, huh…? Well, there’s your answer.”
Sergeant Leron stared at one of his subordinates and spoke as he pointed at Kael. The subordinate in question stayed silent, his mouth agape.
The difference between Lavinia and the true Dragon Rider couldn’t be clearer. While Lavinia heavily relied on her vines and Lord Dragon, Dragon Rider Kael… he did everything alone, and he did it with such ease that the enemies did not gain an upper hand or manage to surround him even for a few seconds.
The difference was overwhelming.
And…
Gruumak, the Chief of the Stonefangs, could see it as well.
The real threat was not the Witch and her Dragon. It was the Flying Man.
For a moment, Gruumak paused and stared at Kael. He observed how the man took tens of enemies on his own, dodged every attack that was aimed at him as if he had eyes on his back, and took down his enemies in one simple move.
He moved through the skies like lightning, throwing warrior after warrior from the skies. Kael, they called him.
The Flying One.
Fast and precise.
But…
He also noticed something else.
That man was strong but…
He didn’t kill.
He was… frustratingly merciful.
“Vekh’dar graal, nar’zul. Draak’mor dul nar’fang.”
{He is strong but soft. A Beast with no fangs.}
He muttered out loud.
On the other hand—
She was different.
Gruumak’s eyes once again turned towards the battlefield he had been keeping an eye on. His jaw clenched as he observed the chaos below—his warriors screaming, formations breaking, vines slithering like snakes through the dusted solid ground that couldn’t be seen.
He saw her—the witch.
Riding her Dragon, dancing through all this chaos, using more and more of her spells to overwhelm her enemies. The Stonefang warriors who got too close never returned. Her magic, her control—it was… suffocating.
She had already killed more than ten of his warriors.
That one was dangerous.
She was a threat.
Her dragon, even more so.
If not stopped now, they would never win another raid again.
“Drokh’dul’s krak nar’graakh. Shaar’gul’s zor’kaal vekhda. Shaar’tar vekh’dal.”
{The Flying Man’s fists do not kill. The Witch’s magic does. Target the danger.}
Suddenly, Gruumak stopped in his tracks—an action that surprised his men.
“Gruukal!”
He shouted, calling one of his subordinates.
“Vornak, Tharn!”
{Yes, Chief!}
The subordinate stepped forward.
“Dul’vorr, krass Veth’mar, grah’tak draal’dul! Tharn’gul graakh Draak aan Shaar’gul!”
{Take the lead, cut these vines and charge towards the Wall! Chief will slay the Witch and Dragon!}
“Vornak, Tharn!!”
{Yes, Chief!!}
Gruukal nodded with a big grin on his face.
“Graakh Draak aan Shaar’gul!!”
{Slay the Dragon and the Witch!}
“Graakh Draak aan Shaar’gul!!”
{Slay the Dragon and the Witch!}
The warriors began chanting as Gruumak prepared himself. The space around him cracked and slowly, his second strongest Beast walked out.
Wings like stone blades, armor like obsidian, eyes blood-red and furious—yes, it was Gruumak’s Flying Beast.
His hidden trump card.
“SCREEEEEEEEEEECH!!!”
The Beast roared.
“Zul’thar.”
{Come}
The Chief commanded in a low growl. The Beast tilted his head towards Gruumak, wanting a little pat before the battle. The Chief obliged as he then jumped on his Beast.
“Vorrak!!”
{Move!}
Gruumak ordered and—
“SCREEEEEEEEEEECH!!!”
With a loud screech, the beast soared upward. The Chief had split up from the rest of his unit—his destination?
The Dragon and the Witch.
‘What the hell…?’
The moment Kael noticed this movement, his frown deepened.
‘He had a Flying Beast as well…?’
Of course, having a Flying Beast wasn’t shocking, but Kael didn’t expect him to keep it hidden. From what little he understood about the Stonefangs, every warrior who had a Winged Beast was part of the Sky Unit, so he did not think another one would pop out all of a sudden.
Kael stared at the departing beast with a solemn look on his face, then—his eyes turned golden.

In an instant, the beast’s information appeared in front of him and Kael’s expression changed.
He was strong, yes, Igni was still stronger, but Igni wasn’t alone right now…
He was with Lavinia…
As for Grahkal’s rider…

…
That man was a monster. When it came to strength, no Velmourn was stronger than him. Lavinia was simply too weak to face him.
The situation had become far more complicated than it should have been.
‘Just where are they!?’
Kael clenched his fists in frustration.
“Father…”
Cirri called him as well. She knew her father was worried.
“We will go there.”
Kael made a decision. He tried to dash forward but—
Another wave of warriors slammed into him.
Kael tried to take them out, but before he could do anything, Flying Beasts blocked his path. Instead of protecting their fallen riders, they were now coming for him.
“Shaar’tar Drokh’dul!!”
{Take the Flying Man down!}
“Shaar’tar Drokh’dul!!”
{Take the Flying Man down!}
The riders began to chant, and the rhythm began to change. The riders screamed, chains flew through the air, and very quickly, Kael realized it—
These people—
They weren’t trying to beat him, they were trying to stall him.
They threw themselves forward, again and again.
Kael knocked one down—another replaced him, and when he knocked the second one, the third came.
Not just that, the Stonefangs he had knocked down before started to reappear as well. Yes, even though Vitaria was standing below, putting the fallen Stonefangs under illusion, making sure they did not return to the battlefield, it no longer remained as easy of a task as it was before.
Kael had already knocked down more than forty Stonefangs, and while around fifteen had passed out from the impact, Vitaria was taking control of the rest.
More than twenty-five Stonefangs were already under her illusion, seeing nightmares they would probably never forget in their lives, but that wasn’t it. Vitaria was also controlling more than a few Winged Beasts that had come down to save their riders.
The fox had already reached her limit, and while she was pushing herself to take control of the rest while hiding herself from them—
A few Stonefangs still managed to escape her and were returning to face Kael, and the more Kael knocked out, the more Stonefangs reappeared.
He was completely tied down.
There was no way he could leave this place for a good few minutes.
‘Fuck!!’
He cursed inwardly. For a brief moment, he met his firstborn’s eye. Igni, as responsible as always, instantly knew what his father wanted and nodded in an assuring manner.
‘I will protect her, Father.’
His eyes said those words, and Kael finally sighed in relief.
For now, he left the matter to his firstborn.
As for him, he planned to take these people out as quickly as he could before rushing toward Lavinia.
…
On the other end of the battlefield, Gruumak reached Lavinia.
His axe gleamed and his beast shrieked in fury.
“SCREEEEEEEECCHH!!”
“RROOOAAAAAAAAAAARR!!”
The dragon answered. His roar once again made every being around him tremble—even Gruumak and his beast were no exception. Soon, however, they regained their battle spirit, and the beast screeched again.
“Zul’kaan vekhda, Shaar’gul!!”
{Your end comes, Witch!!}
Gruumak declared coldly.
Lavinia, obviously, did not know what he was talking about, she just prepared herself for the battle.
“SCREEEEEEEEEECH!!”
Grahkal screeched and rushed forward, his strong wings colliding with Igni’s and—
BOOOOM
The battle began.
