Ling Yun left Yao Rou at Mansion Number One, while he traveled continuously in the car to the rented house to find Bai Xianer.

Ling Yun got out of the car and stood at the entrance, scanning the house with his divine sense. However, he didn’t find Bai Xianer and couldn’t help but frown slightly.

He wasn’t worried about Bai Xianer’s safety. After all, with Bai Xianer’s current strength, Ling Yun believed that no one could take advantage of her, be it the Holy Virgin or the Devil Sect.

What concerned Ling Yun was the peerless beauty of Bai Xianer. Had she went out by herself, would that not cause a huge traffic disruption in Qingshui City?

Right at this moment, a ringtone filled the air. He pulled out his phone and realized it was from Long Wu. He knew instantly that there was trouble, and he picked up the phone immediately.

“Where are you Ling Yun. Hurry over, we’ve got trouble here.” Long Wu sounded panicked over the phone.

“What trouble?” Ling Yun asked with a bitter smile.

“Uh… It’s nothing much, just that a few cars have collided… Big Sister Xian Er is too eye-catching.”

As it turned out, Ling Yun had been busy for the past few days and had specially appointed Long Wu as the temporary guardian of Bai Xianer. As Long Wu liked to play around, she could hardly stand the boredom of sitting at home, so she dragged Bai Xianer shopping under the pretext of buying her gifts.

The two beauties had taken a cab to the bustling sector of downtown. Before they could take more than three steps, several traffic accidents had already occurred around them. Needless to say, the drivers were too distracted by Bai Xianer’s breathtaking beauty.

Normally, this kind of occurrence had little to do with the two beauties, but one driver was hell-bent on shifting the blame to them and physically blocked Long Wu’s path. As Long Wu was hardly a pushover, both parties engaged in an argument that garnered an increasingly large crowd, including the traffic police.

Bai Xianer remained silent from start to end. She had intended on casting an illusion spell or the Nine Star Studded Flash to leave the scene with Long Wu, but Ling Yun had repeated to her to hide her martial prowess in the city if the situation wasn’t life-threatening. She had no choice but to wait for Long Wu to finish.

Ling Yun was speechless. He had suddenly realized that putting Bai Xianer under Long Wu’s supervision was an absolute mistake. However, what needed to be settled had to be settled, so he told Long Wu to wait there and that he would be there soon before he hastily hung up the phone.

Soon after, Ling Yun arrived at the area, which was a bustling traffic intersection near the downtown area. Surrounding it were towering skyscrapers and congested roads, with traffic coming to a complete paralysis by the sheer number of people surrounding the incident site.

The clamoring of bystanders and horning of cars cascaded into a deafening orchestra filled with chaos.

Screw my luck…

Ling Yun was shocked upon witnessing the situation. He parked the car fifty meters away from the incident area, locked the car, and began to squeeze into the most populated area.

With Ling Yun’s strength, the seemingly impregnable fortress in front of him was more like the silky hair of a lady. Soon enough, he cleared a path and made his way to Long Wu and Bai Xianer.

“Hu… You’re finally here, what should we do about this?” Long Wu exhaled deeply and clapped her hands on her chest.

“I’ll deal with you later!” Ling Yun bellowed after he glared viciously at Long Wu. He already had enough trouble, and now Long Wu was going to add fuel onto the fire.

“I couldn’t have known…” Long Wu murmured coquettishly as she wiped her fragrant perspiration, disparaging what Ling Yun had just said.

Ling Yun decided that there was no point in arguing with her anymore. He turned to look at the two burnt-out traffic police officers and became gleeful.

The two traffic officers were none other than the officers in charge when Sun Xing had crashed into Zhuang Meifeng while driving! The male officer was called Li Yang, the female Wang Min.

It wasn’t far from the intersection where the accident happened, and the two traffic police officers were also in charge then. As the saying goes, “enemies are bound to meet on a narrow road!”

Unfortunately, even if Ling Yun could still recognize them, there was no way for Wang Min to do the same. Ling Yun had a drastic makeover in physique and appearance after he successfully lost over 20kg weight.

Beside the two police officers stood two middle-aged men perspiring profusely, hunching and nodding at Wang Min’s constructive criticism. Their eyes darted to Bai Xianer periodically, trying to make every peek count.

Needless to say, they were the two car owners who shifted to blame to Bai Xianer following the accident.

Not just those two — the human-barrel of bystanders all had their eyes on Bai Xianer. Many men were green with envy as they tried to make their way forward with all their might.

Ling Yun sneered in his heart, turned around, and said, “Let’s go!”

He was about to take the two beauties away from the scene.

At this moment, one of the two drivers involved in the accident was suddenly blocking their path and shouting, “Don’t go, we collided because of this woman. If she goes, who’s going to compensate us for our losses?”

Compensate? That was utter nonsense. Ling Yun was too lazy to even bother, so he sniffed at the guy and walked forward once more.

He most certainly didn’t have time to waste, especially at a place like this.

“Wha-what really?” Long Wu was slightly shocked. She hadn’t expected that a direct exit would be how Ling Yun dealt with the situation.

Bai Xianer, however, giggled tenderly and had already made her way beside Ling Yun. She wrapped both her snow-white arms around Ling Yun’s elbow, acting as if no one else was present.

“Don’t leave!” Wang Min’s face was ghastly pale as she warned sternly.

Ling Yun stopped in his tracks. With the same expression, he calmly asked, “Why not?”

“I have just learned that the several traffic accidents here were indeed caused by this lady. She has to come with us to the bureau and run through the procedure,” Wang Min said earnestly, with naive foolishness in her words.

“Get lost, I don’t have the time for that…” Ling Yun was insolent and rejected her directly.

That stunned Wang Min. She glared at Ling Yun, but no words would come out of her mouth. She was bewildered at how anyone could be so unreasonable.

“You’re trying to interfere with public function?”

Ling Yun was dreary, and thoughts wondering how the lady could be so dumb echoed in his heart. “You have ‘just learned’, right? Then tell me, how did she cause those traffic accidents?” he asked as he pointed to Bai Xianer. He was barely holding on to his last bit of patience.

“According to several drivers, they collided with one another because she distracted their vision…” Wang Min proclaimed without thinking.

“Going by your logic, if someone vomited blood and died after glancing at you, were you the one who caused their death?” Ling Yun sneered and asked.

Wang Min was flooded with embarrassment. It took an eternity for her to squeeze out a sentence. “We aren’t looking to push for prosecution or hold her accountable, but since the accidents have happened, surely I’ll have to walk her through the procedure?”

“I have already told you — I have no time!” Ling Yun laughed and said. Following that, he grabbed Long Wu, who was on his other side, and said, “Let’s go!”

“Eh… you can’t go…” The driver wanted to stop them again. Little did he know that he was in big trouble.

What a hassle! Ling Yun was rather speechless. Seeing that he was asking for it, Ling Yun sent him flying with a slap at lightning speed.

“Ah…” A shrill cry ensued, and the driver lost half his teeth.

“Woah…” Exclamations reverberated through the crowds in an instant. No one had expected Ling Yun to commit assault in the presence of another police officer.

“You… how dare you hit him…” Wang Min’s complexion worsened, and she was struck with confusion.

Ling Yun didn’t stop there. After slapping the dumb driver, he conveniently flicked a finger at Wang Min’s waist.

Before Wang Min could complete her sentence, she felt a numbing pain in half her body. With a thud, she landed on her butt.

Another wave of exclamation followed in the crowd.

The male police officer was busy taking pictures of the incident vehicles when he looked over. Before he could wrap his head around what was happening, Ling Yun had pushed the crowd aside and marched off.

“What… what is this?” Li Yang was stunned. He suddenly found Ling Yun a little familiar, but he couldn’t quite figure it out.

Li Yang instinctively wanted to go after Ling Yun, but he eventually retracted his steps after some consideration. Instead, he turned around to help the fallen Wang Min.

“How are you, Big Sister Wang, are you okay?” Li Yang offered his concerns.

Ling Yun’s strikes were as fast as lightning, so naturally, no one had seen what happened. “I’m okay, it’s just that my body became numb all of a sudden,” she replied with a pale face.

“Where are the three of them?” Wang Min murmured to herself as she stood up and reevaluated her surroundings.

“They are already gone!” Li Yang replied with a bitter smile.

“Why didn’t you run after them?” Wang Min stamped her foot anxiously.

“It’s impossible. This place is like an iron barricade. Furthermore, even if we made it to them, we couldn’t have convinced them to stay,” Li Yang shook his head and said.

Although Li Yang was younger than Wang Min, his maturity had surpassed hers. For drivers to crash while looking at someone else, there was no way that the fault lay with the person whom they were staring at.

To Ling Yun, this was an irrelevant, unimportant episode. He cast the incident to the winds after he had departed from the throng.

“Get in!”

Ling Yun opened the car door, got Bai Xianer and Long Wu inside, and returned by the original route via the Land Rover.

“Long Wu, aren’t you something? I asked you to take care of Xian Er for a day, and you made such a big mess in such a short while…”

Ling Yun would never forget to lecture Long Wu, even while driving.

Due to the scorching weather, fragrant perspiration was dripping all over Long Wu. She wiped it off and said thoughtfully, “Big Brother Yun, it’s all my fault. You can punish your little girl however you like, okay? Can we turn on the air-conditioning first though, the heat is killing me.”

Ling Yun had no choice and did as she said.

Long Wu was refreshed in an instant. Still fanning herself with a handkerchief, she commented with a dreary face, “I didn’t know that Big Sister Xian Er’s charm would be so overwhelming… Causing traffic accidents simply by walking on the streets? That’s too scary…”

A compliment, one mixed with a slight trace of envy.

Ling Yun chuckled in his heart and remembered that he had wreaked havoc on the streets when he was strolling with Little White in Wenzhou, and that was at night, let alone in broad daylight!

The Land Rover swiftly took them back to the rented house, where they got out and entered through the door.

An idea struck Ling Yun. He retrieved Bai Xianer’s identity card from the spatial ring and handed it to her, saying, “Look, Xian Er, in the days to come, you will have a new status.”
