Chapter 979: Chapter 971: Treat Her Well 1
The school has a closed management system, so although he can’t go home, he can still see Tiana Thorne’s updates on his phone. However, he didn’t expect that she would take an interest in the book he wrote.
She even came to find him personally.
Tiana Thorne smiled gently, her eyes warm: "Hello, Ethan."
When Ethan Ford saw her face, which resembled his mother’s, along with the mesmerizing pair of eyes, bright and beautiful as amber, his heart stirred slightly: "Tiana."
Tiana Thorne chuckled: "I didn’t expect that ’To My Dearest You’ was written by you."
Ethan Ford gently shook his head, seemingly helpless: "Actually, even now, Sid doesn’t know that he is the model for this book. After all, it’s a novel, and many parts have been modified."
"Hmm..."
After a moment of silence, Ethan Ford inquired: "Have you decided on the male lead yet?"
Tiana Thorne glanced at the man beside her before replying: "Your fourth brother, Aiden. You should know about my relationship with your fourth brother, right?"
"I do."
Though at first, he was somewhat surprised, he got used to it eventually.
Because, as it seemed, only Aiden Shaw was suitable as a match for his sister.
He hesitated for a moment before he understood her meaning: "You’re saying that you want my fourth brother to play the male lead?"
Tiana Thorne nodded: "Yes, that was the initial plan, because the character of Sid in the book is very similar to Aiden Shaw."
"The prototype for the book was Sid, but the character was indeed inspired by my fourth brother..."
Tiana Thorne laughed at this, no wonder each time she saw Sid in the story, it felt like she was seeing Aiden Shaw.
"Alright, if you don’t like publishing it, I won’t force it. Is your sister doing well now?"
Ethan Ford frowned slightly: "She’s living with our cousin, so it’s both good and not good. Though she actually lives quite well, our cousin gives her everything he can in this world."
Hearing this, Tiana Thorne’s heart trembled slightly.
Perhaps, in this world, such a love does exist, where the promise is upheld yet they cannot be together.
"Actually, it’s not that I refuse to let you publish it. It’s just that I believe the world wouldn’t touch the pure feelings shared between my sister and our cousin. Now it’s you and my fourth brother, and seemingly, I don’t have a reason to refuse."
Listening to this, Tiana Thorne paused: "You’ve changed your mind?"
"If the leads weren’t you and my fourth brother, I wouldn’t have changed my mind. Actually, I’m also looking forward to having truly suitable people adapt this novel. Though it’s a pity to involve our cousin and my sister, at least let’s make sure others don’t feel regretful."
Tiana Thorne understood his sentiment and asked again: "Will you disclose that this is based on a true story?"
Ethan Ford shook his head decisively: "No, a novel is a novel, and they are they. I don’t want this to disturb their lives."
"Okay."
Aiden Shaw looked at him: "Ethan, when you get a chance, come home. Mom misses you."
"Alright."
After nodding, Ethan Ford turned to look at his sister, feeling a warmth in his heart.
Such a feeling is actually quite strange to him.
Even though he and Tiana Thorne have no blood relation, at this moment, he considers her as his real sister and wants to care for her.
It must be the atmosphere of the Ford family that makes him cherish every brother and naturally treasure this sister.
He smiled slightly, the brightness in his eyes mixed with a touch of warmth: "Would you like me to show you around our school?"
Tiana Thorne lifted the corners of her lips in a smile but looked towards the book he’d brought along: "I prefer your book over touring the school. When does the second volume come out?"
Listening to her urging face-to-face, he suddenly felt a bit embarrassed. He didn’t expect his sister to like every book he wrote. Scratching his head, he replied: "Soon, probably next month."
Tiana Thorne was still amazed: "Ethan, I’m really curious, how can a guy like you write such compelling romance novels? Before coming, I thought it was a female professor."
"I loved reading them when I was a kid, so naturally, I started writing romance."
She thought again about how most of the campus heartthrobs had girlfriends during their university years.
With Ethan looking like that, he’s practically a campus heartthrob. Curiously, she asked: "So, do you have a girlfriend?"
"No."
Hearing this, she was quite surprised: "Really?"
Ethan Ford shrugged and crossed his legs, with a bit of a cheeky tone: "Dating is such a hassle, being restricted in everything. Being single is more comfortable."
Tiana Thorne laughed; isn’t this exactly how she used to think?
But after meeting Aiden, everything changed completely.
Tiana Thorne teased: "But if you meet a girl you really like, you’d definitely be great at dating. I’d guess you’re more of the assertive and dominant type."
"Keeping a close yet distant approach suits me more."
Afterward, the siblings exchanged a smile.
Only those who read novels would understand this joke; the male leads have diverse personalities.
Her fourth brother, for instance, is probably the cold and resolute type.
Tiana Thorne and Ethan Ford hit it off right away, along with her being a fan of his books and their sibling relationship, there was much to talk about, totally forgetting that her fourth brother was standing beside her.
Aiden Shaw didn’t speak but his face grew colder and colder.
"Since it’s all set, Ethan, let’s meet another day and discuss your new book more thoroughly."
Ethan Ford nodded: "Alright."
May Sloane and Jesse Rivers hurriedly followed.
Aiden Shaw stood up, glanced at his brother, but didn’t say a word of concern, and left with Tiana Thorne for the car.
Tiana Thorne glanced at Ethan waving at her, and she quickly waved back with a sweet smile.
The next moment, Aiden Shaw closed the car window.
Tiana Thorne glared at him, displeased: "What are you doing?"
"Would you like some water?"
His implication was clear: she talked a lot.
Tiana Thorne rolled her eyes at him: "How come both of your rankings include four, yet your personalities are so different?"
Aiden Shaw watched as Ethan grew further away, retracted his gaze, and pulled her into his arms, asking in a low voice: "Do you like Ethan’s personality?"
Tiana Thorne nodded without hesitation: "Of course, I like it."
Aiden Shaw looked at her curly eyelashes, fluttering like feathers across his heart, and took a deep breath.
Suddenly, he regretted it.
He was too indifferent while interacting with her at first.
Although he didn’t fully understand their discussion about the novel’s male lead character, he remembered four words: ’cold and resolute type’.
He had just looked up what those four words meant.
In essence, it describes a personality being too cold, like an unmelting piece of ice, keeping others at a distance.
He furrowed his brow, his chest feeling a bit tight, lightly rubbing her shoulder with his thumb, his voice hoarse but tender: "It won’t be like that anymore."
This sudden confession left her puzzled.
She raised her head to look at him, full of curiosity: "What do you mean by this?"
