Chapter 955: Chapter 947: Promising Him the Next Life 3

Tiana Thorne stirred a bit, then placed her ear against his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

One beat after another, quickly.

His slightly husky, incredibly sexy voice came from above: "Baby."

This term of endearment surprisingly made her heart flutter. She couldn’t help but nuzzle her head gently against his chest, playfully whining, "Hm?"

"From now on, this heart will beat for you."

Upon hearing this, warmth filled Tiana’s heart, and she giggled: "Okay."

Who would’ve thought, when Fourth Brother speaks such sweet words, he’s quite charming.

He stroked her earlobe, smoothed her hair, and then kneaded her small hand. Each little gesture became especially tender this morning.

With a raspy voice, he asked again, "Does it hurt?"

Tiana murmured an affirmative before speaking, "Of course it hurts; try being a woman in the next life?"

Aiden Shaw chuckled, caressing her little fingers, "Do you want to be with me in the next life?"

This question moved her, and suddenly, she thought of many things, but they passed like scenes from a film.

She gently pursed her lips, then whispered, "Aiden Shaw."

He held her little hand, indicating he had heard her.

"Do you believe in reincarnation?"

Aiden Shaw thought of the dream he often had, always feeling it was an unfinished story from a past life. With a smile, his voice carried a bit of fondness, "I believe."

Upon hearing this, Tiana was slightly excited, "Do you really believe?"

"I used to constantly have a dream, with identical settings and characters, just like the deepest memories one can’t forget; it must be my past life."

Upon hearing this, Tiana smiled sweetly.

She didn’t ask what was in his dream, just leaned against his embrace, giving a playful smile and murmuring, "Then in the next life, let’s be together too."

Her simple words moved Aiden Shaw deeply.

Such an intimate promise for the next life, truly, she had only him in her heart.

The obsession left by Aaron within him seemed to vanish at this moment, and he softly responded, "Okay, I’ll find you in the next life."

"Mm, I’m so tired, just want to sleep a while longer."

"Alright."

Very soon, Tiana drifted back into slumber.

This time, she didn’t dream of her past life’s benefactor.

Instead, she was in the celestial realm, surrounded by clouds, with a rainbow in the far east.

She was still a little red fox, tumbling among the clouds, clutching a rabbit, ready to find a secluded spot to devour it.

However, a swift piece of white cloth came and wrapped her tiny body.

A white-haired celestial being with flowing hair, handsome and deep features, full of noble spirit.

He caught her with a single swift motion, then lightly patted her small head as a form of punishment, his expression displeased, yet his gaze held a hint of helpless fondness.

"I’ve told you many times, stealing Chang’e’s jade rabbit will result in punishment, hand it over."

She could only obediently place the jade rabbit in his hand, looking at him pitifully, pleading for him not to tell Fairy Chang’e.

She gazed at the celestial being’s face, realizing it was Aiden Shaw’s.

The difference was, in the dream he had an ethereal aura that seemed even clearer, as if gathering the world’s beauty, a single glance felt like sacrilege.

She dearly wanted to know where the dream’s celestial being planned to take her.

However, things don’t always turn out as one desires, for knocking sounds disrupted her and woke her up.

She suddenly opened her eyes, only to find the place beside her empty, with a coolness lingering where pain had been, revealing he had applied medicine for her.

Uncontrollably, she thought again of the celestial being in the dream and called out, "Fourth Brother."

He emerged from the bathroom, frowning slightly, displeased at the disturbance outside, "Who?"

"It’s me."

Tiana Thorne: "...!!!!!!!"

Oh no!

Mom’s here!

Even though she and Aiden Shaw were engaged, at this moment, she inexplicably felt like she’d been caught in the act.

The annoyance of being awakened dissolved instantly.

She had been following Sixth Brother’s car, suddenly changed routes, and didn’t go to the hospital; anyone with sense could guess what she was up to.

Tiana Thorne felt like her first time was known to the whole world.

Ms. Jarvis’s voice was still gentle, "Tiana, can you open the door?"

Tiana Thorne: "..."

She had no choice but to seek help from Aiden Shaw beside her.

Aiden Shaw responded, "It’s fine," sooner or later it had to be faced.

Then, Aiden Shaw opened the door respectfully and greeted, "Mom."

Rouge Jarvis looked at him, not knowing how to describe her feelings at that moment. This boy wasn’t the first to whisk her daughter away.

"You go out for now; I have a few words to say to Tiana."

Aiden Shaw glanced back at Tiana Thorne.

Rouge Jarvis smiled resignedly, teasingly speaking, "What? Still afraid your own mom would eat her?"

Aiden Shaw shook his head, "No."

With that said, his gaze turned gentle, "Mom, thank you."

Finished speaking, he went downstairs.

Rouge Jarvis watched his departing figure, her eyes slightly moist.

This child, was thanking her for giving birth to such a wonderful Tiana, allowing a lifetime’s solitude to find a place.

Feeling touched, she collected herself after a moment and walked inside the room.

After closing the door, she went to Tiana Thorne’s side.

She had already sat up in bed, softly calling out, "Mom."

Rouge Jarvis brushed aside a strand of hair covering her eyes, her voice tender and bearing reluctance, "Tiana, Aiden’s biological parents called me last night."

Listening, Tiana felt inexplicably nervous but remained quiet, letting her continue.

"Mrs. Shaw said that ultimately everything’s up to me, because the child was not raised by them, they can’t interfere in Aiden’s thoughts and happiness, but as a mother, she wants to see you alone, so I’m asking your opinion."

Listening, Tiana understandingly nodded, "Back then, when Fourth Brother was sent to the Ford family, she couldn’t prevent it either; missing her son has made her suffer enough over the years, wanting to meet me alone is fair."

Rouge Jarvis nodded, saying, "Since the child was taken away, her personality has become strange, not easy to get along with; would it pressure you?"

"It won’t."

After all, she’s lived for a thousand years, seen too many people and things; her adaptability often surprises.

Rouge Jarvis nodded again, "Alright, I’ll arrange a meeting for you."

Tiana Thorne, "Mm."

Suddenly, remembering last night’s matters, she glanced shyly at her mother, "Mom, about last night..."

"You don’t have to tell me about your private matters."

Seeing no blame in her mother, Tiana Thorne felt relieved.

Rouge Jarvis however curled her lips in a smile, "What? Did you think mommy came to demand accountability?"

"Well, initially, yes."

Rouge Jarvis chuckled softly, eyes filled with affection, wanting to share heartfelt words with her only daughter.
