Chapter 1150: Chapter 1142: Everything Will Be Fine 8

"Then when is Dad getting discharged? Dad needs to hurry up and get out of the hospital, there’s a huge pile of work waiting."

Tiana said, "Rest a few more days, wait until your body fully recovers."

"Going home is resting too. How long am I supposed to rest in the hospital?"

"About a week." Tiana deliberately said less.

"Oh come on, look how many days it’s already been, work is all stalled. If Dad doesn’t work hard, how’s he going to buy Tiana a new dress?" Seth said.

This had already become a habit of Seth’s.

Tiana almost choked up. She stepped forward and hugged Seth, just wishing he wouldn’t wear himself out so much: "Tiana doesn’t need Dad to buy new dresses. Tiana can earn money and buy her own new dresses. Dad needs to take good care of his health. You being healthy, that’s my biggest wish."

Seth sighed, reached out and patted Tiana’s back, then nodded. "Alright, alright, alright, I’ll listen to my daughter and take good care of myself. Oh right, where’s Georgia? Why haven’t I seen her?"

"She’ll be here soon."

"Okay, so that you two don’t worry, Dad will rest properly."

Seth suddenly realized that he’d gotten old, and shouldn’t be making his daughters worry anymore.

He tucked in his own quilt, lay on the bed looking for all the world like he was going to obediently go to sleep.

Tiana was relieved too. As long as Seth cooperated with the treatment, everything would get better.

Once Seth fell asleep, Tiana came out. Seth wanted to see Georgia; she’d tried to contact her several times, but Georgia never picked up.

After a while, she stopped forcing it.

Georgia had her own ideas, but she wasn’t the type to ignore her father over other matters.

She hadn’t checked her phone in a long time; Aiden Shaw had sent a message early on.

— Your dad woke up?

— Yeah, he woke up, and there’s nothing wrong with his body.

— Mm, I’ve come to the hospital.

— ??? Isn’t it better to rest at home?

— To get a check-up. Mostly, I wanted to see you.

Tiana had originally planned to go back home, but it looked like she could only stay at the hospital.

Aiden Shaw’s injuries were fairly serious; the doctor had said he needed continued treatment for a better recovery.

If he just rested at home, it really wasn’t a good choice.

She got off the elevator and went to Orthopedics. Aiden Shaw was lying in a VIP ward. He was half leaning against the headboard, and maybe knowing she was coming, he just sat there quietly watching the door.

Seeing the usually-all-powerful Aiden Shaw with an IV in his hand, a cast on his leg, looking all restricted in his movements—was really rare.

Back when they were abroad, she hadn’t had the chance to take a good look. Maybe now that her father was better, her mood had eased, and looking at Aiden Shaw again, she actually found him a bit comical.

"Did you go see Linden Hawthorne today?" Aiden Shaw heard her come in, lifted his dark eyes, and asked lightly.

"Yeah, I went to see him. His condition is really bad." That was something Tiana was deeply worried about, so it kept reminding her that she owed Linden Hawthorne a lot.

Aiden Shaw’s eyes stayed calm, but he couldn’t help caring about Linden Hawthorne’s condition; what was involved wasn’t just the brotherhood between him and Linden, but also the entanglements between them. "I heard that to save your father, he donated a lot of blood."

"Yeah, and he’s the one who found Professor Linton for me. Without him, I wouldn’t have known what to do." Tiana always repaid favors, and she didn’t like owing people.

But Linden Hawthorne’s favor was hard to return.

He had everything, lacked nothing, and didn’t need her help.

"Linden grew up as a sickly kid, practically raised on medicine. His blood is like a hundred herbs; for him to give that much blood, it means that when it comes to you, he really cares." Aiden Shaw’s voice was low, and he said it very seriously.
