[After you commanded the Absolute Compass (Gold), its magnetic needle soon pointed North.]

[Following the direction it pointed, you and Lilith walked side by side, and you didn’t use the Boundary of Journey and Destination this time.]

[After all, you had only used it before because Lilith was hungry, making the situation more urgent. But in this scenario, using it would be quite boring, since what mattered most was the journey rather than the destination.]

[Due to the two of you having high Agility stats, even when the two of you were walking, the distance you’ve both covered each step was large. It didn’t take that long for the two of you to arrive at Pink Lust Country, one of the three countries of the Pink Lust Kingdom.]

[The Pink Lust Country was the main country of the Pink Lust Kingdom, and it’s also where the royal family of the succubus race was residing.]

[As a High Succubus and also part of the nobility, Lilith naturally lived in the main capital.]

[When the two of you arrived at the border of the Pink Lust Country, you could see that their territory wasn’t corrupted by Perpetual Darkness, with the soil where the country stood being completely purified.]

[Looking up above, you could see why. If the Elf World’s Elas Kelxidor had created a light beacon to deal with the Perpetual Darkness, then the Pink Lust Kingdom had created an artificial sun that was hung up high in the sky, illuminating the territory of the Pink Lust Country.]

[After you and Lilith got through the border checks and were given entry, Lilith explained to you, “There are three artificial suns created by the royal family, each of them being stationed in each of the three countries.”]

[“The biggest artificial sun is located at Pink Lust Country due to it not only having the biggest area, but also due to it housing the royal family.”]

[“Contrary to most assumptions, a Blazing Sun rank Light Bearer wouldn’t be able to construct an artificial sun, since they’re mostly suited for purifying the corrupted lands.”]

[“For an artificial sun to illuminate a much bigger territory while also purifying the lands, it’d take a Luminescent Star rank Light Bearer to build an artificial sun and imbue a part of their inner light there.”]

[Lilith sighed, “Unfortunately, none of the succubi could become a Light Bearer. Due to this, the royal family’s first princess had a marriage alliance with a human from another world who had become a Luminescent Star rank Light Bearer.”]

[“It was due to that human’s assistance that the three artificial suns were created. Moreover, due to it containing a part of his inner light, it would have to be regularly fueled by him, and he also couldn’t die, or else the inner light would extinguish.”]

[You did know about this method. It was a blueprint of an artificial sun that Elas had acquired. In fact, the light beacon he created was based on the artificial sun as a reference.]

[The only downside was that the artificial sun would become useless if the Light Bearer were to die, and it also required a Luminescent Star rank Light Bearer to create.]

[But for the Light Beacon, even if Elas were to die, the Light Beacon could still be maintained and powered, since it didn’t require any inner light. The only downside it had was that it was weaker in brightness than an artificial sun, and its purification properties were almost nonexistent.]

[In fact, the creation of the Light Beacon wasn’t exclusive to Elas. Other mages from other worlds who didn’t have Luminescent Star rank Light Bearers eventually invented the Light Beacon as a much cheaper alternative to the artificial sun.]

[Listening to Lilith’s words, you commented, “A Luminescent Star rank Light Bearer is powerful, but when compared to the power system in the previous universe I’m in, they’re only at Mythril rank.”]

[“They can be considered as powerhouses there who have the qualifications to travel from one world to another, without having to worry about being the weakest or obsolete in every world.”]

[“But when compared to the grand scheme of things, they are merely fodder.”]

[Lilith shook her head, “By that logic, the powerhouse of a planet will be a nobody when compared to the powerhouse of an entire galaxy. That doesn’t mean that the former is a weak nobody, but powerhouses scale depending on the upper limit of their power system and the world they’re in.”]

[“That Luminescent Star rank Light Bearer is comparable to a Nine Circle Mage. The latter might even have stronger destructive capability than the former. But in the Perpetual Darkness World, the Light Bearer of the same rank is more valued.”]

[“Otherwise, the Pink Lust Kingdom doesn’t lack Nine Circle Mages, and we even have mages at Ten Circle, but we don’t have any Light Bearers. It’s a huge disadvantage for races like mine who don’t have a natural affinity to the Everlasting Light.”]

[“It’s quite difficult to awaken the inner light. Even when some of the succubi attempted to become a Light Bearer, they managed to light up their inner light. But it was difficult for them to progress further. The strongest Light Bearer we have is only at Flash rank.”]

[You replied insightfully, “Remember how I mentioned previously that I had planned to refine the mainstream light bearer path? The training method has been too generalized, so some races with extreme character traits like demons and succubi would often misunderstand what inner light they should find within themselves.”]

[“It actually doesn’t have to be something too grand or benevolent. Although thinking of an inner light related to saving the world is great, it’s shooting oneself in the foot if you believe otherwise.”]

[“A lot of people had the misconception regarding the inner light part in the Light Bearer Path, and due to this, a lot of them could indeed become Light Bearers, but they’d be stuck at the lower ranks, unable to progress further.”]

[“It’s all due to finding an inner light that contradicts their true beliefs.”]
