Chapter 430: SSS-rank Rank Upper And SSS-rank Devouring Beast

From Zayne’s estimation, if those two SSS-rank innate talents were upgraded to X-rank, they’d be able to achieve way better effects.

For example, X-rank Rank Upper would likely have the power rank limit of Celestial rank, no longer just Starlight rank.

As for X-rank Devouring Beast, its improvement wasn’t as straightforward, and it would likely reflect more on the devouring speed, effectiveness in breaking the power rank limit, etc.

In Zayne’s current power rank, X-rank Devouring Beast was actually more useful to him than X-rank Rank Upper.

A limit of Celestial rank meant that Zayne could temporarily boost his power rank from Late Celestial rank to False Divine rank. With a power rank of False Divine, Zayne was confident that his combat power would be tremendously boosted, at least ensuring that he’d be on par with Late Divine rank powerhouses.

If he had Rank Upper in the Second Doomsday Life Simulation, he would have a great chance of defeating that Mid Divine rank Divine God of Water.

Using that method, it might have prevented the destruction of the Zenith Train Crew, since eliminating the Divine God of Water quickly would prevent the descent of that Half-Step Heaven rank Divine God of Life.

As for X-rank Devouring Beast, it would be far more useful even if his power rank had surpassed its limit. After all, regardless of how high his power rank, the fact that he could use it to devour materials and consume them to become stronger was undeniable.

At most, its rank being lower meant that the efficacy in doing so would be far lower. Nevertheless, its effects of devouring would still exist and were by no means useless.

"If we think about it, the protagonists of this zombie apocalypse aren’t us humans but the zombies. The odds are better for the zombie powerhouses compared to human evolvers who couldn’t fight as recklessly as zombies."

Of course, if it was just that, they might have begrudgingly accepted their incompetence and ignored it. After all, even if they were to die, it was revealed they’d be resurrected in the upcoming world updates, so they were no longer as tense as before.

They merely treated those in the top rank as somewhat similar to the ranking of rich people.
