Doomsday Life Simulator System In A Zombie Apocalypse World Update Era

Chapter 389: Henry’s SSS-rank Military Arsenal And Alan’s SSS-rank Critic Complainer

As for the First Month, it was merely for him to determine what would happen during a World Update and see for himself what the "World Update" in the Apocalypse World Update Era truly meant.

After all, even with his Hint Prompt, due to its limitations as a Gold-grade simulation talent, he couldn’t figure out what the World Update was and how it worked.

Not knowing how the World Update worked, Zayne didn’t want to recklessly cause changes in the real world and let it bite him in the ass in the Second Month.

It was also for this reason that he didn’t let his train crewmates leave the Zenith Train yet. The Null Record Concept train sub-system would ensure that their existence wouldn’t be registered by the world.

After he figured out how the World Update worked, that would be the time he’d start exploiting it, or at least become less wary due to no longer being ignorant.

...

After using his abilities to improve the viral resistance of Henry’s team, Zayne and the others talked to each other while walking the streets.

Due to Zayne’s Boundary of Presence, the zombies in the streets avoided them and treated them as if they didn’t exist.

Even if the zombies did collide with them, the zombies would pass through them as if they truly didn’t exist, which frightened Jackie until Zayne mentioned that it was a normal effect of the ability he used.

While chatting with each other, one of their conversations shifted to the Sovereign of Order and his Nine Rules of Order.

Alan asked, "Bro, you’re definitely the strongest in the world right now. Do you know who that person or entity is who called himself the Sovereign of Order? He seemed to have no relations with the World Will and seemed to be somewhat partial to humanity."

"The Nine Rules of Order he imposed in this world had made the zombie apocalypse become less of an apocalypse caused by human sins and now purely by the apocalypse caused by zombies."

After all, Alan, Henry, Jacob, and Jackie had traveled around the city block before for resources as well as to become stronger. It was inevitable for them to witness the ugliness of human sin during an apocalypse where human order and law had become void.

Due to this, it was a pleasant surprise for them to receive the global announcement from the Sovereign of Order.

After all, they had previously witnessed a woman being raped, but when the Nine Rules of Order were imposed, that man died before Henry could kill him with his gun.

They figured that a World’s Strongest level powerhouse like Zayne might know a thing or two about the secrets of this world compared to them, who were still at the middle tier of the pecking order.

Faced with Alan’s question, Zayne convincingly played dumb, "You overestimate me too much. I might be the strongest in the world, but the gap between country-level and world-level is too vast."

"The Sovereign Of Order must at least be world-level, and they might be even stronger than that. After all, they could influence the entire world and even impose rules and order upon the entire world."

Hearing Zayne’s words, Alan nodded, "That’s true. For powerhouses at their level, we are just ants. But I have to say, regardless of their intentions, what mattered was that the Nine Rules of Order had truly benefited humanity in restoring a bit of order."

"Although they haven’t prevented murder and plunder, the cruelty and difficulty of the zombie apocalypse had at least been reduced by a notch."

Henry commented, "It made this zombie apocalypse less disgusting. Although we still have to deal with untrustworthy and evil people, it still could be avoided by not expanding our team that much."

"We don’t have to worry about being ambushed since Jackie’s Radar is quite reliable. We could spend the rest of the week grinding for wooden chests and military points. As long as I gain enough military points, it’s not even impossible for me to redeem a military fortress as our base of operations."

As an SSS-rank innate talent, Henry’s Military Arsenal innate talent might have its limits, but it was still a genuine SSS-rank innate talent.

Most SSS-rank innate talents were capable of rule-based feats, and in this case, Henry’s rule-based ability was being able to redeem anything related to the current worldview’s military.

Although the current zombie world’s military didn’t have anything high-end, Henry could still redeem for a nuke if his military points were sufficient.

Moreover, the reason why it was qualified to be ranked as SSS-rank was due to the fact that SSS-rank Military Arsenal scaled with the current worldview where the innate talent holder was located.

If the Main World Terra were to update a magic world, then Henry would be able to redeem items related to the military or army of that world. If they possessed magical airships, then Henry could redeem that.

If they possessed magical weapons that were used by the military as well as spell books and magical resources circulated within that world’s military, then Henry could also redeem for that as well.

Regarding Henry’s Military Arsenal innate talent, even Zayne was tempted to extract it for himself.

After all, both X-rank Equivalent Exchange innate talent and Unlimited Food Creation (Gold) talent had the limitations of only being able to exchange or create things that he had known. They both have a food catalog or exchange list as a limitation.

As for Henry’s Military Arsenal, it didn’t have such limitations. As long as he was in that world, his Military Arsenal would be updated to include all items that were related to the world’s military.

As for Alan’s SSS-rank Critic Complainer innate talent, it was a top-notch debuffer, so it was useful even for Zayne and his train crewmates.

Due to this, Zayne couldn’t help but think, ’With my current power, I can knock them all out and extract their innate talent. Afterwards, I can return a copy to them, and they’d be none the wiser.’
