Chapter 199 - 198: Go All Out for the Leader

The power of the tribulation lightning compounded with each strike. After these three bolts, the challenge awaiting Cang Yu and Yu Tu was far greater than what the others had faced.

Yu Tu said nothing. His response was the majestic form of a White Tiger, accompanied by a roar so piercing it was overwhelming.

Cang Yu raised a slightly surprised eyebrow but paid it no mind. He too transformed into his beast form and headed toward Chu Liangyu.

The massive form of the Azure Dragon soared through the air. The faint cyan light emanating from its scales glittered like the most extravagant suit of armor.

Unlike the previous bolts, this tribulation lightning gathered much faster.

Before the two could even reach their destination, the tribulation lightning struck down with incredible speed. Judging by its power, the shorter time it took to gather energy had not diminished its strength in the slightest.

The expressions on Cang Yu’s and Yu Tu’s faces changed simultaneously as they instinctively quickened their pace.

A Dragon Roar echoed as Cang Yu’s figure shot forward like a streak of light, meeting the descending tribulation lightning head-on!

Although Yu Tu had started first, he was slightly slower. Still, he managed to shield Chu Liangyu beneath his body just before the tribulation lightning struck completely.

In an instant, the Azure Dragon, having absorbed most of the tribulation lightning’s power, was charred black. The luster of its scales completely faded.

Yu Tu, who endured the remaining force of the lightning, didn’t fare much better. The white fur on his tiger form stood on end.

Neither of them was in good condition, but to the naked eye, Yu Tu seemed slightly better off.

The others couldn’t even remain standing after a single bolt of tribulation lightning. Yet, these two were different. One remained flying in mid-air, his position unchanged, while the other stood steadfast, guarding Chu Liangyu.

Xiong Jiaojiao didn’t know the history between them, but she was glad to have one more person helping Chu Liangyu.
