Chapter 195 - 194: Greeting the Final Trial

Chu Liangyu was woken up by the enticing aroma of food. Just as Chi Yizhong came in carrying a tray, Chu Liangyu finished getting dressed and stepped off the bed.

Chu Liangyu didn’t stand on ceremony with him. After washing up, she picked up her bowl and chopsticks and started to eat.

She asked, a little puzzled, "Aren’t you tired?"

Hearing the sounds of her eating, a satisfied smile touched the corners of Chi Yizhong’s lips. "I’m not tired," he said. "I couldn’t sleep, so I thought I’d make you something to eat."

Chu Liangyu passed him a bowl and a pair of chopsticks. "Don’t just sit there. You eat something too."

Belatedly, she remembered he couldn’t see, so Chu Liangyu placed some food into his bowl for him.

Worried that her thoughtfulness might stir up some other emotions in him, Chu Liangyu watched his face for a moment.

But Chi Yizhong seemed quite happy and paid it no mind, obediently eating everything she had put in his bowl.

"You don’t have to do that. I can’t see, but I can smell the approximate location of the food."

As he spoke, Chi Yizhong reached out for a dish. He moved slowly, but he successfully picked up a piece of food. "This is chestnut chicken."

As if afraid she wouldn’t believe him, Chi Yizhong picked up another piece from a different dish, naming it as he did so. "This is braised fish."

Chu Liangyu stopped eating and watched his demonstration intently. When he was done, she said, "You’re amazing. If it were me, I’m not sure I could do as well as you."
