Chapter 2935: Chapter 125: Go Tell Mr. Lucas You Don’t Like Her

Harrison Lucas was raised as a boy from childhood, despite not having a particularly soft personality. Yet, whenever she faced Jordan Lancaster, she would always show a softer side.

Especially when she thought of the big brother who suffered so many lashes from Mr. Lucas because of her. Although Jordan Lancaster now wore a hospital gown, hiding everything, Harrison Lucas knew that underneath there must be terrible scars.

"Fool..." Jordan Lancaster was amused by Harrison Lucas’s expression and gently tapped her nose. "No matter how badly I’m hurt, it’s nothing compared to you."

She risked her life for him, what were his minor injuries in comparison.

Without waiting for Harrison Lucas to reply, Jordan Lancaster’s tall frame leaned forward, enveloping the dazed Harrison Lucas standing by the bedside: "Don’t move, let me hold you for a moment."

As he spoke, the man’s large hands carefully avoided the injury on Harrison Lucas’s back left shoulder, slowly wrapping around her waist, pulling her into his embrace.

Jordan Lancaster’s embrace was broad and warm, offering the security of a mature man, just like his person, able to shield Harrison Lucas from the wind and rain, constructing a world that could accommodate and protect her.

Harrison Lucas never expected Jordan Lancaster to wake up suddenly. She thought his injuries were so severe he was still in a coma, hence daring to feed him water mouth-to-mouth.

Even more unexpected was that, upon catching her, the man didn’t show shame or displeasure, but instead gently held her in his arms.

"B... big brother..." Harrison Lucas was a bit dumbstruck. Before her injury, when Jordan Lancaster confessed to her, she felt everything was too easy and unreal.

What made her worthy of such fortune, to have big brother like her.

And now, cradled by Jordan Lancaster like this, Harrison Lucas’s slender shoulders trembled slightly, making her feel like she was in a dream.

"How many times have I told you, call me Jordan, why are you still so stubborn, hmm?" Jordan Lancaster’s deep voice murmured softly in her ear, sending tingles down her spine.

"Jordan..." Harrison Lucas obediently changed the way she addressed him, her voice carrying a softness even she hadn’t noticed.

Jordan Lancaster’s lips curved upward, planting a light kiss on her forehead.

Harrison Lucas blushed but didn’t forget to worry: "Jordan... is your injury serious? It’s all because of me that you were beaten by Mr. Lucas... How about you go tell Mr. Lucas that I’m... I’m alright. I just want to follow big brother for a lifetime... I can be your subordinate for life, you tell Mr. Lucas you don’t like me, won’t be with me, let him forgive you, okay?"

Her words weren’t self-indulgent nor pretentious; she truly regarded Jordan Lancaster with admiration.

Thinking about how she dragged big brother down, causing him to suffer Mr. Lucas’s wrath, made her heart heavy with sorrow.

Harrison Lucas knew she wasn’t good enough; she was merely a child adopted back into the Lucas family branch. Even her brother, Benjamin Lucas IX, didn’t dare speak loudly before Mr. Lucas, let alone herself.

"So you heard everything?" However, the words Harrison Lucas painstakingly mustered up the courage to say only brought a seemingly relaxed response from Jordan Lancaster.

The man tightened the hand wrapped around her waist, holding her small body even closer: "Since you know, then I don’t need to find another way to soothe you."

He originally feared Harrison Lucas would worry too much, and considered finding another excuse to comfort her.

Jordan Lancaster was afraid of scaring Harrison Lucas away.

Yet seeing the worry on Harrison Lucas’s anxious face, Jordan Lancaster realized he was overthinking.
