If worried about dirtying the bedsheet, she could have just removed it altogether, so why bother cleaning herself in the bathroom.

Exhausted, Harrison couldn’t lift a finger, and she couldn’t bear to face her own stupidity. For the first time, she doubted how she managed to stay in the military department based on her intelligence and talent.

With her mind a chaotic mess, Harrison Lucas breathed evenly amidst her wandering thoughts, in a daze...

Meanwhile, as Harrison gradually fell asleep, Ben Lucas, who was supposed to be in the study room focusing on work, felt somewhat restless.

He was someone with a cold, serious, and highly disciplined personality.

Even when alone, Ben Lucas could sit at his desk all day as if unaware of thirst or hunger, becoming deeply absorbed in his work.

But today, Ben Lucas felt something was off everywhere.

The figure who usually entered periodically to serve tea and water was nowhere to be seen.

The person who would greet him at mealtime was absent.
