Chapter 694: Chapter 686: Marriage Proposal (Part 1)

In Leo Joyce’s eyes, she would always be the little princess under his protection.

A pure, kind little princess.

Just like a princess in a fairy tale.

Tiana had loved pink since she was a little girl, and she still loved it now that she was grown. But loving it was one thing; she still hoped she could occasionally try other colors.

After all, always wearing pink made her seem immature and childish to others.

’Oh well, they’re a gift from Leo. I should wear them no matter the color.’

So, she closed the bedroom door, changed into the clothes and shoes, and came out.

Now, there was only one bedroom left.

’Without a doubt, Leo must be hiding in here.’

’This game is so silly. If he wanted to give me clothes and shoes, he could have just given them to me directly. Why make it so complicated?’

But complaints aside, a warm, sweet feeling still filled Tiana’s heart...

She pushed open the bedroom door, walked in, and reached out to turn on the light.

The room was filled with balloons of all colors. On the wall hung an enlarged photograph—a picture of her and Leo from long ago.

The photo had been taken the moment Leo Joyce stole a kiss from her.

As a result, her expression wasn’t exactly flattering.

Looking at the candid photo Leo had taken, now enlarged and hanging in the room, she was instantly pulled back into a flood of memories from her time with him.

’If it weren’t for what happened with Aria, she and Leo would probably be so happy right now. They wouldn’t have been separated for five long years before finally getting back together.’

As she recalled these past moments, her eyes slowly welled up with tears.

While she was lost in thought, Leo Joyce slipped quietly in through the door and wrapped his arms tightly around her from behind.

Startled by the sudden embrace from behind, Tiana’s first instinct was to let out a terrified scream. "AHH!!"

As she struggled and screamed, Leo Joyce buried his face in the crook of her neck and whispered, "Don’t be afraid. It’s me."

"You—where did you come from? You scared me to death!" Hearing Leo’s voice, she finally calmed down, though she grumbled with a hint of indignation.

Leo Joyce furrowed his handsome brow, equally displeased. "Well, it’s your fault for taking so long to find me." He figured that if he hadn’t revealed himself, she might have spent the entire night searching without success. If that happened, how could his little game continue? He simply couldn’t wait any longer, so he decided to come out.

"Then where were you?" Tiana asked, turning around to face him when she heard his complaint.

At her question, Leo Joyce raised a triumphant eyebrow and lightly tapped her on the nose. "You little fool. I saw everything when you were changing. You tell me where I was." And it wasn’t just that; he had also seen her little pouts of dissatisfaction.

’So his little princess didn’t only like pink, after all.’

’He was annoyed with himself then, frustrated that he didn’t understand his little princess at all.’

"What?" Tiana Grayson’s face fell as she asked in shock.

Seeing her reaction, Leo Joyce realized he’d misspoken. He gave an awkward cough. "AHEM. I didn’t say a thing."

Tiana Grayson’s face hardened with anger. She pounded her small fists against Leo Joyce’s chest. "You pervert! How could you peek at me while I was changing!"
