Chapter 691: Chapter 683: It’s Good That You’ve Made Up

Less than half an hour after Mika Summers left, Tiana Grayson arrived.

Tiana was dressed in a white athleisure set and a pair of matching sneakers. She was the picture of youth and didn’t seem to have changed much from five years ago. No, there was one difference—the Tiana of the past had shoulder-length black hair, while the Tiana of today had long, golden-blonde hair that reached her waist.

Amelia’s appearance, on the other hand, was a stark contrast. She wore a bright red leather jacket, tight leather pants, and the latest style of combat boots, and her hair was styled in shoulder-length, wine-red curls.

One looked like an innocent, fresh-faced beauty, while the other looked like a street-smart tough girl.

Tiana Grayson spotted Amelia the moment she entered the café. To her, Amelia was always the most radiant person in any room.

So, she had no trouble finding Amelia and walking right up to her.

Amelia looked up from her thoughts and offered a smile. "Have a seat."

"Mm." Tiana nodded, pulling out the chair opposite Amelia and sitting down.

But when she thought about how she had misunderstood things between Leo Joyce and Amelia, she felt a pang of guilt. Then, she remembered the medical report Leo had asked her to look at, and the feeling intensified. For a moment, she didn’t know what to say.

Seeing Tiana sitting there so cautiously, not saying a word and not daring to look up at her, Amelia’s lips curved into a slow, knowing smile. She beckoned the waiter over, and after a coffee was served to Tiana, she finally broke the silence. "When did you get back?"

"Two days ago."

Amelia paused mid-sip and looked up. "Two days ago? Did you come back with Leo?"

"Yeah..." For some reason, Tiana felt a pang of guilt whenever Leo Joyce’s name was mentioned in front of Amelia.

Amelia recalled the things Leo had said when he wasn’t lucid that night she went to Siren. Her brow furrowed slightly as she studied Tiana’s face, and she asked tentatively, "You and him... you’ve made up?" ’I already have my answer,’ she thought, ’but I should probably ask anyway.’

But she hadn’t expected Tiana’s reaction. Tiana suddenly looked up, a shy smile gracing her features as she nodded. "Yeah, we’ve made up."

"You’ve made up?" This time, Amelia’s eyes were filled with astonishment.

"Yeah. Is something wrong?" Tiana furrowed her brow, raising an eyebrow. She really couldn’t understand why Amelia was so shocked to hear it.

Amelia averted her gaze and quickly looked down. "N-No, it’s nothing. It’s good that you made up. It’s not like you two had any huge issues to begin with. Leo must be really happy, right?"

"Yeah." Tiana couldn’t help but smile as she thought of how Leo Joyce had held her after she’d agreed to get back together, acting like he wanted to be glued to her side twenty-four hours a day.

Perhaps it was because they hadn’t seen each other in so long, but Tiana felt that things weren’t the same between them. They couldn’t just say whatever came to mind or ask blunt questions like they used to. So, after her smile faded, she wasn’t sure how to bring up what she really wanted to ask.

Amelia, meanwhile, just stared down at her coffee, her expression heavy with thought.

The two of them sat in silence, each lost in their own world. After about ten minutes, Tiana finally looked up and asked in a low voice, "I heard... you and Cassian got married?"
