Divine Wilderness Dragon Emperor
Chapter 509 - 508: I, the Celestial Emperor, Must Suppress All Evil Demons
As the Emperor's Coffin smashed down, the True Dragon Seal immediately erupted with a vast Dragon's Might.
This was Emperor Tang acting in self-defense.
If he allowed the Emperor's Coffin to strike unimpeded, he would be crushed to death, even while inside the Dragon Seal.
BANG!
Then, under the gazes of countless onlookers, the Emperor's Coffin shattered the Light Patterns erupting from the True Dragon Seal and slammed directly onto the Giant Seal.
BOOM!
Instantly, a heaven-shaking roar echoed as astonishing Power erupted from that patch of the Void.
The Emperor's Coffin was incredibly strong. It was the Corpse Ancestor's Coffin; one could even call it an Emperor's Soldier!
Even if Wei Wuya couldn't control it completely, its Dao Patterns would automatically unleash astonishing Power when attacked.
Besides, Wei Wuya could also inject Corpse Qi into it to stimulate the Dao Patterns!
Under this strike, the True Dragon Seal was sent flying thousands of meters away.
The True Dragon Seal was powerful, but since Emperor Tang was caught unprepared, the might he could unleash wasn't at its peak.
However, despite being knocked away, the Dragon Seal suffered no damage.
This was a Celestial Emperor's Divine Artifact. Although its power was dependent on the Celestial Emperor's own strength, it wasn't something a mere Emperor's Coffin could destroy.
In fact, the True Dragon Seal was of a higher level than this Emperor's Coffin.
It was just that the seal's power had to be activated by its wielder.
Without sufficient energy to activate it, it wouldn't display its true power.
It was a very demanding Divine Artifact, all for the sake of balancing the order of heaven and earth.
Otherwise, if a Celestial Emperor possessed such a Divine Artifact, wouldn't they be able to sweep through all opposition, regardless of their Cultivation level?
Dynasties rise and fall, and people live and die. The Celestial Emperor's Divine Artifact would not change these facts.
As the True Dragon Seal was knocked back, a flash of light appeared on its surface, and Emperor Tang's figure materialized.
He had been directly blasted out of it!
PTHOO!
As his body was forced out, Emperor Tang coughed up a large mouthful of blood, his face deathly pale.
He had already burned a massive amount of his Divine Soul Power and Origin Essence Blood in his fight against the Kunpeng Corpse. Now, after being struck by the Emperor's Coffin and depleting even more of his Essence Qi, his complexion was a shadow of its former self. Strands of his hair were disheveled, stained with blood. It was a heart-wrenching sight.
Emperor Tang's body was sent flying, but he was immediately met with the vast aftershock of the collision.
In just an instant, he was engulfed by the shockwave and sent hurtling back once more.
"Your Majesty!" Ling Fei cried out, his eyes turning red.
"Your Majesty!" The Empress rose to her feet, tears streaming from her eyes.
"Father!" The Eighth Prince's eyes were practically splitting with fury and grief.
Before, his father had always seemed like an unapproachable figure, making it difficult to feel much affection for him.
He had felt that the Royal Family was cold and heartless.
But now, his father was a true hero in his eyes, someone he admired and worshipped. He only hated that he was too weak to fight by his side.
When Emperor Tang was sent flying, the hearts of the Southern Wilderness's people felt as if they were shattering. A glimmer of despair began to appear in their eyes.
"Haha, Emperor Tang, let's see you try to suppress me now," Wei Wuya laughed boisterously upon seeing the emperor get knocked away, looking extremely pleased.
Back at the Xiling Ruins, Emperor Tang's Dharma Body had directly suppressed Wei Wuya, filling him with such terror that it had even created a Heart Demon.
How could he not be thrilled now that he was the one crushing Emperor Tang?
His Heart Demon vanished along with his fear.
"Kill him!" At that moment, Kun Hai strode over from the distance, intending to take this chance to execute Emperor Tang.
"Of course!" Wei Wuya nodded. With a move of his great hand, he once again swung the Emperor's Coffin, smashing it toward the beleaguered Emperor Tang.
Kun Hai transformed into his Kunpeng form and flew over at extreme speed, intending to prevent Emperor Tang from escaping.
"Heh, you think killing Us is that easy?" As Kun Hai flew closer, the reeling Emperor Tang suddenly burst into laughter.
Golden light then flickered across his body as his Blood Qi began to burn.
"Burn this ruined body as a catalyst, merge with the True Dragon Divine Seal, and suppress the eight directions!" a deep voice rumbled from Emperor Tang's lips.
Immediately, his Blood Qi ignited, and the True Blood within his body began to burn at an incredible rate.
Even his Divine Soul was burning. The sudden eruption of his aura was terrifying.
'Burning his ruined body? Is Emperor Tang throwing his life away?' Gasps of shock rang out at his words.
Emperor Tang had already exhausted a great deal of his Essence Blood. If he burned what remained, could he possibly survive?
"Emperor Tang!"
"Your Majesty!" Cries of grief echoed across the Southern Wilderness as everyone watched Emperor Tang, wreathed in his burning Blood Qi, appearing as if he were engulfed in a blazing inferno.
Hundreds of millions of Cultivators and mortals shed tears.
"Your Majesty..." Tears streamed from even Ling Fei's eyes, but more than sadness, he felt a profound helplessness.
He had been nothing but a spectator in this battle from start to finish.
Emperor Tang's repeated, desperate struggles stirred Ling Fei's heart.
'The Human Race has too few experts in the Southern Wilderness. We truly need more heroes to rise!'
Otherwise, tragedies like this would only repeat themselves.
'I must become stronger!' Ling Fei's eyes flashed, tears welling up within them.
"To think such an Emperor exists in the Southern Wilderness!" Lian Shuang murmured to herself. Even someone as cold and emotionless as her was moved by Emperor Tang's actions.
WHOOSH!
Just as hundreds of millions cried out in sorrow, the True Dragon Divine Seal flew over and merged with Emperor Tang's body.
ROAR!
As the Dragon Seal combined with Emperor Tang, he actually transformed, soaring into the sky as a colossal golden dragon.
The dragon was a hundred thousand feet long. It coiled in the air, exuding a terrifying aura as its golden light flickered like a burning flame.
That was Emperor Tang's Blood Qi, burning away.
This time, it was clear he was disregarding his own life, putting everything he had into one final attack by burning his Blood Qi.
As the True Dragon coiled in the sky, its terrifying might shook the eight directions, so powerful that even Cultivators tens of thousands of miles away could feel it.
'This guy is actually going to risk it all!' Kun Hai, who had just transformed into a Kunpeng, felt his heart skip a beat and a chill run down his spine.
For Cultivators of their level, the most frightening thing was an opponent willing to fight to the death.
A desperate attack like Emperor Tang's, one that burned his very body for fuel, could unleash enough terrifying power to injure even a High Level Cultivator.
What's more, Emperor Tang still wielded the True Dragon Seal!
'I've been tricked. Emperor Tang planned to sacrifice his life from the start. He was just deliberately luring me into attacking,' Wei Wuya's eyes flashed as realization dawned on him.
Emperor Tang had feigned weakness to bait Wei Wuya into attacking, hoping to suppress him in one fell swoop and eliminate the threat for good.
Such a tactic sent a chill through his heart.
It was clear Emperor Tang intended to sacrifice his life to quell this disaster for the Southern Wilderness!
But by the time Wei Wuya understood, it was already too late!
First, his Emperor's Coffin was already about to reach the patch of the Void where Emperor Tang was.
Second, now that Emperor Tang had transformed into a True Dragon with a heaven-overwhelming aura, any attempt to escape would only result in being forcefully suppressed.
So, Wei Wuya had no choice but to grit his teeth and fight.
The same was true for Kun Hai.
BOOM!
And so, Wei Wuya's Emperor's Coffin continued its downward smash.
Kun Hai burned his Power of Origin without hesitation, his wings striking the Void with a world-shaking momentum.
In addition, he summoned a Sacrificial Altar that transformed into a Nether Platform, unleashing a vast power as it hurtled toward the hundred-thousand-foot-long dragon.
"As the Celestial Emperor, I shall suppress the Evil Demons of this world, even in death!" High in the sky, the eyes of the coiling, hundred-thousand-foot dragon flashed, and a low voice emerged from its mouth.
It was as if Emperor Tang was speaking to himself, making an oath, yet it brought tears to the eyes of all who heard it. Even some disciples from Sects like Thousand Lakes Mountain and the Beiming Sword Sect were filled with sorrow. They all wished desperately for Emperor Tang to win. After all, if the Human Race had such a Celestial Emperor, what reason did they have to side with Evil Demons?
As his words fell, Emperor Tang's Dragon Claw reached out, descending to suppress Wei Wuya below.
The Dragon Claw pierced through the Void, appearing above Wei Wuya's head in an instant. Upon the giant claw, four large, golden, shimmering words were visible: The Mandate of Heaven.
