Divine Wilderness Dragon Emperor
Chapter 483 - 482: Kun Hai Lays Out the Formation
Chapter 483: Chapter 482: Kun Hai Lays Out the Formation
’Judging by Senior Kun Hai’s aura, he must be at least in the Daoist Palace Realm, right?’ Beiming Huahai mused, sensing Kun Hai’s imposing presence.
’At such a Realm, crushing Master Xuan Ji and the others would be all too easy.’
The only one Beiming Huahai feared now was the Great Tang Emperor.
After all, no one in the Southern Wilderness knew just how powerful the Great Tang Emperor truly was.
’But Senior Kun Hai is from the Kunpeng Race. The trump cards he holds are far beyond those of an ordinary person,’ Beiming Huahai thought.
With that in mind, he had nothing left to worry about.
Besides, Wei Wuya and the others had already made their move!
And so, Beiming Huahai and Kun Hai set out.
In addition, two Elders from the Corpse Spirit Hall followed them.
Using a Teleportation Array, they arrived in the region of the North Spirit Ruins.
From a distance, the group spotted the North Spirit Platform towering among the mountains ahead.
"The North Spirit Ruins are just ahead!" Beiming Huahai said, pointing toward the North Spirit Platform.
"So this is the Sealed Demon Land where my ancestor is suppressed!" A complex look filled Kun Hai’s eyes as he gazed at the mountain range before them.
Ever since he was young, he had grown up listening to the ancient stories of the Kunpeng Race.
Their race possessed astonishing power. During the Ancient Era, they had even slain True Dragons and were known as one of the Ten Great Divine Beasts of this world!
Unfortunately, after the great war of Ancient Times, the race was sealed in the Divine Demon Sea. Restricted by the Celestial Might, many of their ancestors dared not emerge rashly.
In the outside world, Ancestor Kun Yi was the only one, residing in the Southern Wilderness.
To plot their escape, the Kunpeng Race had always wanted to rescue Kun Yi, so he could coordinate with them from the outside and help the Kunpeng Race break free from the Divine Demon Sea.
’As long as we rescue Ancestor Kun Yi, my Kunpeng Race will gain another top-tier fighter.’ A smug smile touched the corners of Kun Hai’s lips as he gazed into the distant Void.
After all, Ancestor Kun Yi had been a top-tier existence even in the Ancient Era. Otherwise, he would have been completely obliterated instead of merely suppressed.
"Should we enter the North Spirit Ruins?" Beiming Huahai asked.
"No need." Kun Hai waved his hand. "If we were in the North Spirit Mountain Range and the Ancient Human Emperor were to make a move, even I would have a hard time dealing with it."
"But it’s different out here. Even if the Ancient Human Emperor were to act, sending his True Spirit thousands of miles would be incredibly draining. He most likely couldn’t bear that kind of consumption. Otherwise, my ancestor could have broken his shackles and escaped on his own without me needing to do a thing," Kun Hai said.
"Senior is truly wise and far-sighted. I am deeply impressed." Beiming Huahai’s face was full of admiration.
The two experts from the Corpse Spirit Hall beside him nodded repeatedly.
This meant that the risk of them acting here was much lower.
Though they were Corpse Cultivators, they still cherished their own lives dearly.
"Well then, watch me set up the Array!" A glint flashed in Kun Hai’s eyes. With a flip of his large hand, nine Array Flags shimmering with a faint, dark light appeared.
Each of these Array Flags was engraved with patterns. The flags depicted a Nether Sea, with a Kunpeng soaring above it as if to strike the nine heavens, all amidst churning Nether Qi.
"This is the Kunpeng God-Inviting Array!" When the flags appeared, Kun Hai grinned. "Once this Array is established, I will be able to communicate with the Kunpeng Ancestor."
The Kunpeng Race had made two-pronged preparations when they had Kun Hai escape the Divine Demon Sea.
The first was the last resort: having Xu Zitao take a Sacrificial Altar to communicate with the Kunpeng Ancestor and use the Kunpeng Sword to help him break the Array.
Of course, the Xu Clan had also prepared the Five Elements Sky-Splitting Disc.
The reason for this preparation was that the people in the Divine Demon Sea were trapped and simply could not leave. Even Kun Hai himself had only managed to escape by a stroke of luck after exhausting all his efforts.
Even so, he was still wounded by heavenly retribution and hadn’t recovered to his peak state even after several years of healing.
Of course, even though he was severely injured, he had at least successfully left the Divine Demon Sea, which now gave them another chance to rescue the Kunpeng Ancestor.
And his trump cards were clearly far more powerful than Xu Zitao’s.
WHOOSH!
The Array Flags flashed and were placed by Kun Hai among the mountains below the Void.
After setting down the Array Flags, he produced an Array Disc and placed it directly inside a valley up ahead.
Instantly, light and shadows flickered on the Array Disc, and an endless stream of Nether Qi surged forth.
BUZZ!
As the Array Disc landed, the nine Array Flags immediately burst with a dazzling light. The rainbows of light that shot into the sky were like individual Kunpeng soaring upward.
The Void trembled and rippled. A dark light bloomed, and in the sky above, it was as if a massive Kunpeng, shouldering the blue heavens, had appeared, blotting out the landscape.
The area covered by the Kunpeng was the extent of the Array’s reach.
’This Kunpeng truly covers a thousand-mile radius!’ Beiming Huahai’s heart shook as he stared at the Kunpeng manifested by the Array above his head.
Such a technique was shocking.
It far surpassed the level that a Divine Mansion Realm Cultivator could ever hope to reach.
The two experts from the Corpse Spirit Hall felt the same, a look of awe appearing in their eyes.
The Kunpeng Race expert before them was definitely not someone an ordinary person could contend with.
’I can’t even imagine how powerful this Array would be if Kun Hai activated it in his prime,’ they murmured to themselves.
The power of these great ancient Divine Demon races was far beyond their imagination.
With the Array laid out, covering a thousand-mile radius, a smile touched Kun Hai’s lips as he strolled down toward the valley below.
Beiming Huahai and the others followed.
With a wave of Kun Hai’s hand, a dark light flashed, and a massive stone platform bearing an enormous corpse appeared in the valley.
The stone platform was immense, completely filling the space of the vast valley.
Upon careful inspection, it was as long as two thousand meters.
Looking closer, the corpse on the stone platform had the body of a Kunpeng, with a pair of giant wings shimmering with dark light beneath its belly.
However, this Kunpeng was completely lifeless, without a single trace of vitality.
Even so, its scales were still intact, as if it were a living creature. It wasn’t just a skeleton, but a complete body.
’Is that a Kunpeng Corpse?’ Seeing this, Beiming Huahai’s heart trembled.
It was the first time he had ever seen a massive Kunpeng two thousand meters long!
Even though this Kunpeng was just a corpse, the lingering might it emanated was still enough to make Beiming Huahai’s soul tremble.
Clearly, this Kunpeng Corpse must have been incredibly powerful when it was alive.
’A Kunpeng Corpse? What is Senior Kun Hai planning to do?’ the two experts from the Corpse Spirit Hall wondered, their eyes glinting.
At the same time, their faces were filled with envy.
If they could use such a powerful corpse to cultivate the way of the corpse, they would surely become truly powerful experts!
Unfortunately, such corpses were not easy to find.
After taking out the Kunpeng Corpse, Kun Hai flipped his palm. A dark light shimmered, and a Sacrificial Altar engraved with a Kunpeng totem and Inscriptions materialized.
This Sacrificial Altar was similar to the one Xu Zitao had brought out before, but a closer look revealed it to be significantly more complex and possessed a far greater Mystical depth.
In addition, the moment this Sacrificial Altar appeared, the aura it emitted was far more powerful than the one Xu Zitao had previously produced.
