It narrowed its eyes slightly, as if sensing for something. A moment later, it seemed to have found the Third Prince’s location and spoke.

"Found him. Guardian Hall, beside the Fire Sparrow."

Then, their faces twisted into strange expressions.

The Night Ghost had found the Third Prince in the Guardian Hall, beside the Fire Sparrow.

It cried out, "Eyes in the sky... That is my nemesis!"

"My nemesis is here!"

Immediately, the Night Ghost shrieked.

It shrieked in panic, "That person... he’s in a manor five li to the west!"

"I have urgent business, so I’m leaving! Farewell! And also, never summon me again! I’m moving. Tonight! I will never appear in the Fire Sparrow Kingdom again!"

With that, the Night Ghost, trembling all over, shot away. It darted out of the Third Prince’s hall and fled in a blind panic, hurtling straight for the dry well.

Just as it was about to plunge into the dry well, the Night Ghost glanced back at the sky in terror. It could still see them—a pair of eyes, watching it from above.

So terrifying. So sinister.

It turned and plunged into the dry well.
