Chapter 689: The Fall of the God of Gray Mist
Chapter 689: Chapter 689: The Fall of the God of Gray Mist
"Die! Die! Die!!"
The Ice Prince, his face twisted in madness, waved his claws and commanded the terrifying waters of the River of Seven Colors to crash down upon the Lord of the Origin.
The Lord of the Origin frantically burned his Divine Power, cloaking himself in a layer of Purifying Light. He fought against the curse of the River of Seven Colors while dodging the Ice Prince’s attacks.
Streaks of Purifying Light and wisps of gray, cursed energy churned and intertwined within the River of Seven Colors, canceling each other out and annihilating one another.
"How is the Lord of the Origin so powerful? I remember He only just advanced to a Divine Spirit not long ago!!"
A look of shock flashed through the Joy Goddess’s beautiful eyes.
Even from her position before the River of Seven Colors, the Joy Goddess could sense the terrifying curse contained within its waters. It was a horrifying curse that a Divine Spirit of the Weak Divine Power Level would find difficult to withstand. If she were to fall into the River of Seven Colors, she would absolutely not last for even ten breaths.
A fervent glint shone in the eyes of Gabriel, the God of Light, as he spoke slowly, "A Divine Artifact! Only a Divine Artifact can increase Divine Power combat strength so drastically! He must have a Lower God Level Divine Artifact on him."
A Divine Spirit with a compatible Divine Artifact could unleash terrifying combat strength. A single, powerful Divine Artifact could cause a Divine Spirit’s power to skyrocket.
Of course, the more powerful a Divine Artifact was, the greater its consumption and the more difficult it was to forge. Many Divine Spirits rarely possessed a powerful Divine Artifact that was compatible with them.
The Lord of the Origin sped along, quickly reaching the end of the River of Seven Colors.
Just as the Lord of the Origin was about to leave the River of Seven Colors...
An enormous claw suddenly shot out from the River of Seven Colors.
The massive claw was covered in long, gray fur, and every single strand held countless strange and unfathomable curses.
The giant claw spread open, and in an instant, invisible cursed shackles materialized around the Lord of the Origin, binding him tightly.
"Sacrifice!!"
The Lord of the Origin gave a cold smirk. He took out a palm-sized black box engraved with countless esoteric runes, reached out, and grabbed the God of Gray Mist, tossing him directly inside.
Countless incredibly profound Curse Seals immediately appeared within the black box. Streaks of mysterious black light shone upon the God of Gray Mist, and his body instantly began to rapidly disintegrate.
"No! Lord of the Origin, you can’t do this!!"
The God of Gray Mist let out a horrifying shriek before being instantly corroded by the black light and vanishing completely.
From the great unknown, the phantom of a mysterious, unfathomable gate appeared. From within the phantom gate, the phantom of a finger covered in black scales extended.
The terrifying phantom finger pointed down.
The countless cursed chains coiled around the Lord of the Origin instantly shattered into dust.
The terrifying giant claw immediately retracted, pulling back into the River of Seven Colors.
The terrifying phantom finger crumbled away.
The Lord of the Origin seized the opportunity to leap with all his might, clearing the final distance and reaching the opposite bank of the River of Seven Colors.
"A bunch of scumbags hoping to hide behind me and pick up the scraps! You’d better hurry up, or the treasures of the God of the Seven Colors will all be mine!"
The Lord of the Origin glanced back at the other side of the River of Seven Colors, laughed wantonly, and then leaped into the air, flying toward the Seven-Colored Divine Hall.
The Lord of the Origin was well aware that blazing the trail would be fraught with danger. However, the first to go would also have the first-mover’s advantage. Once he obtained the treasures or Divine Artifacts of the God of the Seven Colors, he would gain immense Power and rise above all the others in a single stroke.
’We’ve been played!’
A grim look flashed in the eyes of Gabriel, the God of Light. He retracted the curtain of concealment and appeared before the River of Seven Colors.
Fear flickered in the Joy Goddess’s eyes as she said, "Why don’t we just give up? This cursed river is too dangerous!!"
The King of Ice and Snow and the God of Gray Mist had both perished trying to cross this cursed river.
If the Lord of the Origin hadn’t possessed such incredibly powerful trump cards, he too would have already fallen into the cursed river and become a part of it.
Gabriel smiled confidently. "Give up? How could we? The Lord of the Origin has already scouted the path for us. I’m a hundred percent certain I can cross this River of Seven Colors."
Once the Lord of the Origin crossed the River of Seven Colors, he immediately flew off toward the Seven-Colored Great Divine Hall.
In front of the Seven-Colored Great Divine Hall stood two hundred stone statues. By now, most of them had crumbled, with only a fifty-meter-tall statue of a three-headed hellhound remaining intact.
When the Lord of the Origin arrived before the Seven-Colored Great Divine Hall, the statue of the three-headed hellhound suddenly cracked open, and a three-headed hellhound emerged from within.
"Insolent ant, this is the dwelling place of the great God of the Seven Colors. Get out, or I’ll tear you to shreds!!"
The Hellhound roared, its eyes flashing with ferocity as it glared at the Lord of the Origin.
"You disrespect a god. You deserve death! Primordial Spear!"
The Lord of the Origin’s gaze was icy. He directly cast a Divine Art, the Primordial Spear, sending it hurtling toward the Hellhound.
A long spear engraved with countless mysterious Curse Seals materialized, radiating a brilliant light as it shot directly toward the Hellhound.
The Hellhound leaped, vanishing from its spot as if teleporting. It reappeared behind the Lord of the Origin like a phantom and opened its massive, bloody maw to take a vicious bite.
The Primordial Spear bizarrely appeared in front of the Lord of the Origin, shot out, and pierced through all three of the Hellhound’s heads, pinning it to the ground.
A terrifying Power erupted from the Primordial Spear, instantly shattering the Hellhound’s heads.
That Hellhound was a Demon of the Demigod Peak Level, yet before the Lord of the Origin, it was still defeated in a single blow.
It would take several thousand Demigod Peak Demons like the Hellhound to make the Lord of the Origin even consider retreating.
’The treasure of the God of the Seven Colors is mine!’
An ecstatic gleam flashed in the Lord of the Origin’s eyes. With a flicker of his body, he flew into the Seven-Colored Great Divine Hall. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
After passing through several palaces, the Lord of the Origin arrived outside a Great Divine Hall filled with a boundless, gray, cursed aura.
’What terrifying Power of Curse! This must be the source of the curse on the Nia Continent!’
A solemn look crossed the Lord of the Origin’s face as he peered into the Great Divine Hall.
There, in the center of the magnificent Great Divine Hall, was a glorious and sacred Seven-Colored Throne. Seated upon the Seven-Colored Throne was a ten-meter-tall Giant with short blue hair and a handsome face. He wore a suit of Seven-Colored Battle Armor, held a Seven-Colored Staff, and exuded an aura of dominance.
