Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2173: Another Hidden Node

Chapter 2173: Another Hidden Node

It wasn’t long before Davis and Ellia made it out of the Alternating Time Flow Valley, although they took some detours but halfway through, Myria took over, causing him to let the hand he had caught hold of after such a long time go reluctantly. However, the fact that Myria let Ellia hold hands with him alone felt like a drastic improvement from before that he didn’t complain but felt thankful.

Besides…

‘She didn’t use this opportunity to kill me…’

Davis made a mental note of it, registering this favor in his heart. After all, it was the perfect opportunity to make him disappear, and if she timed it right, who could stop her?

Even Davis didn’t have the confidence to kill her if she ambushed him as he felt that he would hesitate at the last second because he would have to be careful of killing Ellia. If he really killed Ellia along with her without a moment’s hesitation, bearing a heart demon would be the least of his worries.

Knowing himself, he felt that a mental breakdown would be in store for him. After all, although he hadn’t even kissed Ellia, she was an important existence in his life, and it was precisely because she was taken away that he was mad as hell yet still tried to understand as Fallen Heaven said that it could be Ellia’s own past incarnation that abducted her.

To this complex Saintess, he really was having some trouble in measuring how to treat her, sometimes wanting to provoke her, sometimes just wanting to help.

He once again went to check his bone age and was surprised to see that his bone age hadn’t changed at all. Her strange movements in the Alternating Time Flow Valley were truly mystical, allowing him to be free of losing lifespan despite having entered many times deeper than he or Valley Master Jade Aurora traversed.

“Where are you going now?”

Davis saw Myria take off gracefully, causing him to also leap forwards as he followed her.

Glancing at him with a nonchalant expression, Myria moved her lips, “I have no need to answer where I’m going to you.”

“So you didn’t gain the permission of the Heaven Gazing Sect either?”

“Do I need to?”

Davis nodded perfunctorily, “I guess not but since you’re not explaining where you’re going, let me just stick around like a fly then.”

“Suit yourself.”

Myria didn’t seem to be perturbed by his shameless assertions. She shot off towards the distance, ascending as she flew, while Davis continued to follow her at an equal pace, his speed matching hers. Their altitude kept increasing without a stop that Davis reached the point where he had once stopped and comprehended Space Laws in a three hundred meter wide spatial bubble, but now, he still kept ascending, following Myria deep above the Distorted Skies of Yonder.

Here, the wind blades were getting worse and deadlier, capable of ripping apart his natural defenses that he had to encase himself in soul force. However, Myria still showed no signs of stopping, causing his heart to clench as he momentarily looked around.

Here, there were even four hundred meters and five hundred meter spatial bubbles. However, to sit and comprehend amidst these extremely strong wind blades that were at the seventh level of the Ninth Stage was an impossible feat.

He wouldn’t be able to focus unless he entered a trance-like state, but for that, he needed to understand insight to a deeper level.

But forget these five hundred-meter spatial bubbles. Myria was still ascending, causing him to gulp secretly.

‘Now, what premonition of death is she going to show me?’

He wryly smiled but didn’t feel like it was enough to deter him.

After all, Time Laws were seamless, able to seep into him without him noticing as it was ever-present, but Space Laws were different. It had to appear at a point to extend or contract, although it was also ever-present. He understood that much and so was confident that he could defend against spatial attacks unless that spatial attack was complete devouring of the skies, ejecting him into the void, perhaps for being too suspicious against the heavens.

But contrary to his expectations, Myria stopped ascending before the wind blades could tear him into pieces. Those slicing, vague wind blades were at the eighth level in prowess, and the spatial bubbles here were at least a thousand meters in diameter, causing his eyes to twitch.

The feeling of having an excellent spot to comprehend Space Laws but couldn’t because of inadequate prowess to protect oneself and comprehend couldn’t be described.

At this moment, Davis saw Myria take a token out of her spatial ring with a flick of her finger, sending it towards the empty space. Despite the terrifying winds brushing against the token, it refused to shatter or even sway as though some kind of power was pulling it towards it.

“What is that?” Davis blinked when Myria pursed her lips and replied.

“Perhaps a pathway to an unexplored mini or mystic realm.”

“What…? Wait… how did you even obtain that?”

“Just a while ago in the hidden spatial node where the temporal core exists. I can’t tamper with it, or I would die without a doubt, but there was a token hovering in mid-air, and I think that it’s meant as a reward for whoever arrived there. Otherwise, I don’t understand the intent behind this token.”

Once the decrepit token stopped at a point, Myria reached out her hand and activated it. It shook before space expanded, transforming into a full-fledged spatial gate like the one seen in the location leading to the Forsaken Phoenix Realm or the Grand Sea Continent.

Davis’s jaw dropped, ‘A hidden mini-realm?’

However, he rejected this idea as every mini-realm was once hidden before being found. However, the way this spatial gate was found seemed to be different, requiring a token from the outside world to enter, not from the inside as handed out by the immortal beings inside the mini-realm.

Without even any hesitation, Myria entered the spatial gate, disappearing from Davis’s gaze that went solemn.
