Chapter 99 - Dagger
"Smash the door!" the squad 2's leader shouted as two of his team members hit the sturdy door with the battering ram. But the door was still standing strong without a hint of breaking.
"Damn! Since it was used as an embassy before this, the door is crazy in durability." one of the two complained as he smashed the door for the fourth time.
"Is it possible for us to move the (Hammerhead) there and take the door down?" Captain Hu asked. The (Hammerhead) he mentioned was a hydraulic battery ram that activated remotely.
But because the flooring in the middle was renovated into a trap, they had no other way to assemble the machinery.
"Hold my hand!" a member from squad 3 said as he was lowered into the pit to rescue the people inside the cement pool. The operation can be said to be dangerous because they had no idea what is around them.
"Pull us up!" he shouted. The vest he was wearing is now connected with two members from Squad 1.
"Pull! - Pull!" the members from squad 3 immediately pulled the rope as they continue with the rescue process. But this entire operation was taking too much of their time.
This made their initial plan of entering the building before the terrorist sealed the premises unsuccessful.
The situation also got worst, as half of the Squad 1 members were out, including the leader. But that was not the worst of it. What came along with this unsuccessful attempt is the responsibility and rescue operation that ended up delaying the other two squads from completing their task.
"Move away!" Captain Hu arrived at the battlezone and went straight to the door they had a problem opening it. In his hand was a heavy machine gun with a custom-made magazine with incendiary bullets.
*Bang! Bang! Bang!*
Repeatedly firing at the frames and the door handle that keeps the door together, Captain Hu then ordered his men to smash the door open.
"Riot Shield to the front!" Captain Hu ordered as the people inside the cement pool were rescued. The gap is now filled with the long corrugated board to create a temporary standing point for them to stand and walk past it.
"NOW!" Captain Hu ordered.
The door leading to the building's inside was smashed open as two flashbangs were thrown inside as they got pelted by the terrorist's cover fire.
*Bang! Bang!*
The flashbang exploded and blinded the terrorists that were opening fire. But that does not mean the Tianhe Special Forces is capable of moving forward or counterattack immediately.
Because their opponent was not the one on the ground, but also those on the upper levels. Unless they're interested in turning into a honeycomb, not a single member dare to move in recklessly.
"Squad 4 and 5, move in!" Captain Hu ordered as the two squads entered the building. Their entry was monitored by the terrorist a level above the lobby. And before they managed to get a clear shot, the Tianhe members already dispersed into few spots like scurrying rats.
They immediately get into an exchange of firefight as Riot Shield squad covered the others as they get inside carefully. What they need to pay attention to is not only traps but also grenades while entering the premises in such a large group.
But the situation quickly changed as soon as they disperse.
The staircase, doors, entry, and window position were taken by the elite forces as soon as they managed to secure the location. After making sure all crucial points were controlled by them, the remaining units came in to restart the gunfight.
At least two-thirds of the terrorist fell in this battle.
By creating a single line as they went up the stairs, the soldiers started to climb the floor one level after another.
...
In the meantime, Zhang Qin Feng is still fighting against his three opponents. Although he failed to overpower them in a flash, it seems that his skill was a level above them. If it was not a fight of 1 against 3, the outcome of this battle would be out long ago.
On the other corner, Lightbulb was having the worst. It was evident that the five people here were veteran fighters with ample experience in fighting against them. What was weird about their skill is that they seem to be trained to counter the Tianhe elite's martial arts.
"You're not one of the Tianhe's people. Who the Fu*k are you?" one of the three said. Judging from the blood on his face, he had the worst from the fight against Zhang Qin Feng.
"Does it matter? Let's get rid of all this. Where's the hostage?" Zhang Qin Feng asked. He could take action immediately, but since they won't have time to talk when they started fighting, he prefers to dig some information first.
After all, when the fist was used in talking, there won't be words coming out. It's only blood.
"Hostage? Who tell you we have hostage here?" the agent replied.
[The system notices a change in his facial expression. It was evident he was lying. Please control your emotion, user]
Stein's response came instantly before Zhang Qin Feng was affected by the lies.
'Damn it, I almost got affected by the lies right in the middle of a fight. To think that my opponent is still capable of playing tricks at this time...' Zhang Qin Feng secretly thanks his luck for having Stein by his side.
Without it, he might get emotional as they continued to fight, and that will cloud his judgment during the fight. If the battle ended in his favor, it would be great. But if it's not, then he might be the one endangered instead.
"What are you guys still doing here?" a handsome guy came up to the sixth floor they're at. To Zhang Qin Feng's surprise, not even Stein noticed his arrival.
'Stein!' Zhang Qin Feng screamed in his mind as he raised his hand after seeing that his three opponent's fist was trembling the moment this guy appeared.
But no matter how quick was Zhang Qin Feng's response, he couldn't stop the guy's fist from landing on his cheek.
"Why are you here, boy? Did you find what I want?" he continued to speak. It was actually a very familiar voice Zhang Qin Feng heard before through the phone.
"You... The caller? Alim Roanoke?" Zhang Qin Feng asked.
"That's me. But I prefer that you call me by my codename."
"Dagger."
