'Stein?' Zhang Qin Feng tapped the side of his head to get the system to respond, but it was in vain. The situation this time is direr than before with all the support from Stein was gone. This includes his access to Dimensional Storage.
This means Zhang Qin Feng would have no other support or provision until he solved the issue with this interference.
"Everyone, maintain full alert." Zhang Qin Feng raised his fist for his men's attention. His situation can be said to be totally fucked as there's not a single experienced soldier in his team except himself. Out of the ten people following him, only one had some experience on the battlefield.
All the others were engineers or researchers who spent their days more in the lab and fabricating centers.
"Boss... The Luna Device seems to be draining out of energy fast. You might want to bring some spare power cells out for..." one of the researchers approached Zhang Qin Feng. He was immediately silenced by Zhang Qin Feng's following reply.
"All the support function of mine was gone the moment we stepped on this land. Try to check if the fast boat is still working. I'm sure it's broken down as well." Zhang Qin Feng said.
Few researchers were reluctant to believe what he said and immediately tried restarting the boat but to no avail. It seems what Zhang Qin Feng said was true, that his support function had stopped entirely.
It seems they just got onto something secretive here.
Turning his head back at where he came, Zhang Qin Feng also noticed a dome shape barrier that can only be seen from the inside out. Perhaps this barrier is what blocks all the communication with outside.
As for why it was activated, Zhang Qin Feng will have to find the answer to this question himself as he gets further inland. But for the very least, what happened here answered one of his curiosity.
This explained why his fleet of five Assailant-Class was out of touch with them after reporting the news regarding the secret facility.
And since there's nothing here that could provide him with a clue of his men's whereabouts, all Zhang Qin Feng could do now was to search for them, one by one.
He'll have to start searching for his stranded members around here with the patrol ships before he can start planning what to do further. Without necessary weaponry and support, it would be impossible for him to get rid of this problem.
"All of you should maintain alert as we look around for clues. Get ready and follow me." Zhang Qin Feng said. Leading ten non-combat members with him, he made his way past the beach where his team landed.
Luckily, even after being deserted for a decade, the roads and pavement applied on the surface are still solid and unmistakable for travelers. Zhang Qin Feng and the others might have no idea of their current direction. But, he can be sure a road like this would definitely lead him to some abandoned settlements.
And he could slowly get his clue from there onwards.

Zhang Tianci, in the meantime, was facing the same problem as his creator. But he's significantly adapting to the changes smoother the latter.
"Team leader, our communication signal is blocked out. And if you're looking back, a golden dome appeared. Do you think we should pull back and get in touch with the crew on 008?" asked one of his teammates.
"No. We should continue to move forward. I was in contact with the others until fifteen minutes ago, and this means the boss should have already landed too."
"He's likely taking the same route as ours, so we should start getting a vantage point to overlook all around is. Spread out and search everywhere for any further threats while we're waiting for the boss to come here." Zhang Tianci calmly instructed them on what to do.
He also noticed that the report from Luna Scanner while they were outside and inside was different.
From the outside, it was shown that numerous virus carriers were roaming around, but evidently, it was a fake report. This made Zhang Tianci worried about what their next step will be.
Putting their opponent's background aside, it was already quite a feat to temper with so many Luna Devices' reports at once. If their opponent this time weren't the carriers but clones from this island, it would be the same fight against an opponent with West Strand Division's strength all over again.
Although Zhang Tianci is confident, he knows that a battle is not all about winning or losing. Surviving doesn't always mean you're winning, and dying doesn't always mean you're losing.
"ROAR!" as he was in his deep thought, a Tyrant appeared out of nowhere and tried to attack Zhang Tianci. The roar from this mutant caught the attention of two nearby soldiers that followed him.
But the problem is, Zhang Tianci's position was too close to the Tyrant for them to safely open fire. And with the Luna Device being down, it was impossible for them to communicate, even if they were to scream from the building inside.
Furthermore, if they did what was in their mind, compromising their position was just a tiny matter if all the attention they got were from the zombies. The main issue would escalate to endanger the entire team if their opponent were fellow clones.
Still, they somehow feel obliged to support Zhang Tianci no matter what. With the scope opened and ready to fire from their position, the two soldiers prepared to take what they needed to assist their leader.
It ended up giving them a vivid display of might as Zhang Tianci took two machetes out from his back before vanishing from where he was standing. In the next split second, both of the Tyrant's arms were hacked off the mutant before it realized what had happened.
Using another second to move around, Zhang Tianci was seen wiping one of the machetes in his hand from the contaminated blood of the Tyrant.
"Blood?" the two soldiers moved their scope back at the Tyrant, only to notice it was split into two halves in less than three seconds after the Tyrant roared.
"Wh-What the hell with our leader's fighting power?" the two soldiers' hand was shivering, unsure if they were excited or afraid.
