Chapter 1755: A Flick of Fingers!
Chapter 1755: A Flick of Fingers!
Max’s expression remained calm.
Then he flicked his finger.
A tiny burst of condensed draconic force shot forward.
It did not look grand.
It did not look like a divine ability.
It was only a finger flick.
But the moment that force struck Arnold’s axe, the huge demonic weapon exploded.
Crack!
The first sound was small.
Then countless cracks spread across the axe.
In the next instant, the entire weapon shattered into fragments, and the condensed force did not slow down at all. It passed through the broken axe, struck Arnold’s chest, and pierced through him with irresistible power.
Arnold’s eyes widened.
His roar stopped.
His massive body froze in place.
For a single breath, he seemed unable to understand what had happened. Then his chest cracked open with golden-black light, and his entire body began breaking apart from the point of impact. The cracks spread across his armor, his muscles, his horns, and his face, and before he could scream, his body shattered completely.
The leading demon Arnold was destroyed.
His body turned into golden fragments of Killing Points that scattered through the air like broken stars before flying toward Max.
The entire battlefield fell into absolute silence.
The demons who had been laughing a moment ago now looked as if their throats had been seized by invisible hands.
The second faction elves stared at Max with pale faces.
Jessica and the other third faction elves stood frozen, unable to reconcile the person before them with the cultivation aura they had sensed earlier.
Max lowered his hand slowly as the fragments of Killing Points entered his body.
"Everyone attack!"
Seeing Arnold being killed in such a terrifying way, Lumine finally felt fear crawl into her heart, and the calm arrogance she had shown earlier cracked apart almost instantly.
Arnold had been a peak Law Manifestation Realm demon with monstrous physical strength, yet Max had blocked his punches with two fingers and destroyed him with nothing more than a flick of his finger.
This was not something that could be explained by ordinary talent, nor was it something that could be ignored by pretending Max was only at the peak of the Law Refinement Realm.
The young man standing in front of her was dangerous, far more dangerous than she had expected, and if they allowed him to take the initiative again, none of them might be able to leave Witch God Valley alive.
At Lumine’s command, all the remaining second faction elves and demons moved at once.
No one dared to underestimate Max anymore.
The demons roared and released their demonic energy without holding anything back. Some charged straight toward him with heavy weapons, their axes, hammers, and bone blades wrapped in dark red killing light, while others circled to his back and sides, trying to strike from blind spots.
The second faction elves also attacked together. Golden light, green wind, pale sword aura, and sharp wood-element arrows tore through the cursed mist as they launched techniques from every direction, coordinating with the demons to seal off all possible routes of escape.
Some aimed at Max’s head, some aimed at his heart, some tried to bind his legs with glowing vines, and some released restraining light toward his arms, clearly intending to limit his movement before killing him.
The battlefield exploded into chaos.
Jessica and the four third faction elves instinctively tightened their grips on their weapons, but before they could step forward to help, Nancy raised one hand slightly and stopped them.
"Do not interfere," Nancy said in a low voice.
Jessica looked at her in confusion and urgency. "But they are all attacking him at once."
Nancy’s eyes remained fixed on Max’s back. "That is why you should not interfere."
Jessica froze slightly.
At the center of the storm, Max looked at the attacks rushing toward him from every direction with a calm expression. The five thousand Draconic Essences still surged around his body like an invisible dragon sea, but he did not use them to crush his enemies immediately. Instead, he slowly raised his hand, and Dragonheart appeared in his grip.
The moment Dragonheart emerged, the sword hummed.
A deep sword resonance spread across the battlefield, and the weapons in the hands of several second faction elves trembled uncontrollably. Even Lumine’s sword reacted, producing a faint cry that made her expression change again.
The sword in Max’s hand was not merely powerful. It carried a natural suppression toward other swords, and the aura sleeping inside it felt ancient, noble, and dangerous.
"I would love to play with you all," Max said calmly, his eyes sweeping across the incoming elves and demons, "but I am in a hurry."
His fingers tightened around Dragonheart.
"So, you guys can die."
As he said those words, Max executed the Saint Origin Sword Art.
At the same time, his expression changed.
The faint smile on his face disappeared, and his eyes became deathly calm. Emotion left his features like water draining from a broken vessel, and the eerie aura of his Pseudo Cosmic Path spread outward once again.
The Emotion Severing Path descended upon the battlefield, silent, cold, and terrifying, turning the already cursed air of Witch God Valley into something even more suffocating.
The demons felt it first.
Their battle intent weakened.
Their roars suddenly sounded hollow.
The second faction elves felt it next.
Their killing intent, anger, fear, greed, hatred, and confidence all seemed to be touched by an invisible blade, and for a brief but fatal instant, their minds went blank. The Emotion Severing Path did not simply pressure them.
It cut away the emotions that supported their actions, leaving their attacks moving forward while their hearts lagged behind in confusion and terror.
Then the Saint Origin Sword Art erupted.
A pure and majestic sword light rose from Dragonheart, yet because it was infused with the Emotion Severing Path, that originally sacred sword light became strangely cold and absolute.
It looked like the first light born from heaven and earth, but within that light was an emotionless severing force that judged everything before it as something to be cut down. Max stepped forward once, and the entire battlefield seemed to fall under his sword.
The first slash crossed the left side.
A crescent of saintly sword light swept through the demons charging from that direction. Their dark armor, demonic weapons, thick bodies, and defensive energy were all split apart at the same time. Several demons continued running for another step before their bodies separated, their eyes still frozen in disbelief as they dissolved into golden fragments of Killing Points.
The second slash turned toward the right.
The elves attacking from that side raised their defensive light barriers, but the Saint Origin Sword Art pierced through them cleanly. The barriers broke like thin glass, their swords snapped, and their bodies were cut open before they could even cry out.
Their golden and green light techniques vanished in the air, severed from their source by Max’s Pseudo Cosmic Path.
The third slash swept behind him.
The demons and elves who had tried to attack from his blind spot were cut down together. One demon had already raised his hammer above Max’s head, while another elf had almost completed a binding formation around his feet, but neither attack landed.
The sword light passed through them silently, and their bodies collapsed into fragments before the hammer could fall or the formation could close.
