Diary of Guarding Monster Girls
Chapter 1278 - 576: Monsters Blocking the Path
Chapter 1278: Chapter 576: Monsters Blocking the Path
The monster stood in front of the Heroic Spirit Legion.
"Monster..."
The torso of the Flesh Golem still showed patches of fur and scales from various creatures, with thick suture lines crawling over it like centipedes, and mismatched eyes embedded across its body, turning mindlessly.
"Ha..."
With each heavy breath, it exhaled a thick, poisonous miasma mixed with a bloody scent from its gigantic maw.
The massive body stood still, its very presence exuding a suffocating oppressive atmosphere.
Powerful and dangerous.
Yet, what truly caused Julia’s face to change wasn’t the Flesh Golem itself.
It was the Dark Elf sitting lazily on the shoulders of the gigantic creation!
That was the true "monster."
She wore a fitted white long dress, outlining her agile, explosive figure, with a complexion lighter than most Dark Elves, just a healthy tan, her long black hair neatly tied up behind her head.
Her face was exquisite yet expressionless, wearing a golden laurel crown, cold eyes like a frozen dead lake, silently watching the Heroic Spirit Legion before her.
Dangerous.
Extremely dangerous!
Julia could feel that the aura of danger emanating from this person far exceeded that of the Demon and Vampire before.
From those two, she sensed arrogance, but barely any killing intent, instead feeling a sense of helplessness as they were led forward.
This was the real reason why Julia dared to risk it all to break through.
When faced with those two, they would leave their comrades, paying a heavy price, but ultimately escaping with their lives.
But now, it seemed different.
The Dark Elf and her terrifying creation were scrutinizing them with a strange gaze.
It was not analyzing their strength, but seriously considering how to utilize the gains from them after the battle.
Those cold eyes were like a butcher looking at lambs to be slaughtered.
So, was this the end for them?
"..."
The vanguard of the legion involuntarily stopped, slowly raising their weapons.
They came in search of the end.
But that doesn’t mean they intended to face death without resistance.
No matter how terrifying the enemy was, they would fight until the last moment.
"..."
Svanni glanced over the ready and waiting Heroic Spirit Legion, no provocation, no declaration, not even a ripple of emotion.
She just slightly tilted her head, gently patting the golem’s head with her gloved hand.
The next moment, the Flesh Golem finally moved.
It didn’t roar or charge, merely lifted an arm forged from the arm bones of some unknown giant beast fused with metal, resembling a battering ram in appearance.
Then, toward the front of the legion, simply, it smashed down a punch!
The movement seemed slow, but it was just an illusion, fast as lightning in reality!
The massive fist tore through the air, producing a ghostly, wailing whistle.
Swoosh—
Before the fist arrived, the terrifying wind pressure had already creaked the heavy armor of several front-row Heroic Spirits, the Soul Fire within them flickering unstably under the pressure.
"Raise shields! Hold firm!" a centurion of the Heroic Spirits roared hoarsely.
The shield warriors at the very front slammed their gigantic tower shields heavily onto the ground, the runes on the shield surfaces flashing wildly, linking energies to form a heavy light wall.
Then, before they could adjust their position, the fist had already fallen.
Bang—
Like a meteor striking the earth!
The golem’s fist slammed viciously into the light wall!
No energy collision explosion, just the purest, most savage release of force!
The light wall held for barely half a second before collapsing with a teeth-gritting shatter!
The shield-bearing Heroic Spirits were swept away like being hit by a tidal wave, shields and all flying backward.
Their bodies still mid-air, their Spirit Bodies couldn’t withstand the terrifying impact, shattering inch by inch into scattered light points!
The momentum of the fist was unabated, smashing heavily into the ground.
Thud—
The entire rift shook violently!
From the point of impact, web-like cracks spread out for dozens of meters.
The violent shockwave radiated in a ring, lifting dozens of surrounding Heroic Spirits like straw men, slamming them hard into the cliff walls on either side, their Soul Fire instantly dimming significantly.
This was not the end!
As the legion was thrown into disarray by this earth-shattering blow, the ground beneath their feet suddenly became soft!
Countless flesh tendrils glowing with a crimson sheen, like serpents with life, crazily emerged from the cracks and soil.
They quickly coiled around the legs, waists, and even tried to worm into the armor crevices of the Heroic Spirits.
These flesh tendrils not only possessed strong physical restraint but, more terrifyingly, they acted like greedy leeches, ravenously sucking the Soul Energy from within the Heroic Spirits.
The entangled Heroic Spirits were horrified to find their strength rapidly depleting, their struggling movements growing more and more sluggish.
"Don’t get entangled! Cut them off!"
Julia swung her dual blades, severing several approaching tendrils, but more continued to surge forward.
Meanwhile, the Flesh Golem’s attack didn’t cease.
It stepped with its thick lower limbs, remodeled from giant beast leg bones, entering the battle ranks like a moving mountain, each step causing tremors.
It no longer used its destructive heavy punches but wielded another claw-like arm, directly seizing Heroic Spirits.
Or lifting its immense foot, stomping down repeatedly, stirring up layers of airwaves, conducting the most effective sweep.
