Chapter 285: Just the Primordial Evil Alliance
Chapter 285: Chapter 285: Just the Primordial Evil Alliance
The Chaotic Alliance Domain, Black Cloud Tavern.
A figure in a black-robed cloak and a portly youth walked inside.
These two were, of course, Yi Xiaoyao and Jin Sanbao.
"We’ve been on the road all day, and I’m starving! All the fat I worked so hard to put on is gone again."
The moment Jin Sanbao entered the tavern, he casually found a table, sat down, and yelled, "Waiter! Bring out all your best food and wine!"
Instantly, every eye in the entire tavern turned to look at them.
Jin Sanbao froze for a second. He could see a strange look in their eyes.
Not only that, but the waiter completely ignored his order and was also staring at him with a look of disdain.
"What’s everyone staring at me for? Did I really lose weight?"
Jin Sanbao pinched his own cheeks and looked at Yi Xiaoyao in confusion.
Yi Xiaoyao gave a strange smile of his own. He knew exactly why, of course, but he wanted to let Jin Sanbao experience for himself just what kind of place the Chaotic Alliance Domain was.
Jin Sanbao didn’t see the smile under Yi Xiaoyao’s cloak. Seeing that the waiter still hadn’t brought any food or wine, he frowned and urged, "What are you still standing there for? Bring the food and wine!"
The entire tavern erupted in laughter.
"This kid looks eighteen or nineteen at most. To dare to venture into the Chaotic Alliance Domain at that age... he must not know how to spell ’death’."
"I’ll count to ten. Someone will be dead before I finish!"
"Ten!"
"Nine!"
Just as the man counted "Nine!", a burly, dark-faced man licked his lips, his gaze burning as he stared at Jin Sanbao.
"This kid looks so plump. He must have quite a fortune on him. Since none of you are making a move, I guess he’s all mine!"
The moment he finished speaking, the dark-faced man shot an ice spike from his hand. It whistled through the air, aimed straight for Jin Sanbao’s forehead.
"Eight!"
"Seven!"
The countdown continued, but Jin Sanbao’s face had already gone pale with terror as he looked at Yi Xiaoyao in fright.
"Xiaoyao, save me!"
As soon as Jin Sanbao cried out, he saw the faint smile on Yi Xiaoyao’s lips beneath his cloak and immediately felt a sense of relief.
"Six!"
"Five!"
Amidst the continuing countdown, the dark-faced man who had shot the ice spike was suddenly engulfed in a burst of flames. Before he could even scream, he was reduced to a pile of ash in an instant.
The ice spike he had launched dissipated at the same moment, less than three inches from Jin Sanbao’s forehead.
"Four..." The man who was counting froze, dumbstruck. He had been right—someone had indeed died before he finished his count.
However, the one who died was not who he had expected.
It wasn’t just the man counting; everyone else in the tavern was staring in disbelief at the pile of ash that was once the dark-faced man.
"How did Hei San die?"
"The Qi that flame just gave off... even I couldn’t have resisted it in the slightest!"
"Who was it?! Who made that move?!"
These people were all captains from various alliances sent to gather intelligence, and their cultivation was almost all at the mid-Nascent Soul Realm. How could they possibly resist even a fraction of Yi Xiaoyao’s Nirvana Phoenix Fire? They hadn’t even been able to tell who had attacked.
Nevertheless, everyone’s horrified gaze shifted back to Jin Sanbao’s table. They weren’t looking at Jin Sanbao, but at the person in the black-robed cloak beside him!
It didn’t take a genius to figure out that this was the person who had just saved Jin Sanbao and instantly killed Hei San.
Seeing everyone looking at him, Yi Xiaoyao gave a cold smile and said to Jin Sanbao, "Three Treasures, if you want to eat something, just take it yourself."
Jin Sanbao had just witnessed Yi Xiaoyao’s power, and upon hearing this, he was overjoyed.
"Alrighty then!"
Jin Sanbao grinned, reached over to the next table, and grabbed a pork knuckle.
"That’s what you get for looking down on people! You can have my leftovers!"
After saying that, he took a bite out of the pork knuckle, threw it back, and started grabbing food from other tables.
The faces of those whose tables Jin Sanbao had "graced" turned ugly, but for the moment, no one dared to speak up.
The next moment, a white-haired old woman, apparently confident in her seniority, saw Jin Sanbao reaching for the food on her table and slammed her hand down.
"Junior, you dare!"
As soon as she spoke, the old woman raised a palm and struck out at Jin Sanbao.
But just as she lifted her hand, like Hei San before her, she was instantly incinerated by a flame that seemed to appear from nowhere.
After that, no one dared to make the slightest move against Jin Sanbao as he feasted his way from table to table.
The entire Black Cloud Tavern fell silent, the only sound being Jin Sanbao’s triumphant laughter.
Relying on Yi Xiaoyao’s momentum, Jin Sanbao felt increasingly vindicated. ’These people tried to kill me for no reason at all,’ he thought. ’They’re despicable!’
Next, Jin Sanbao walked to the row of tables at the very back of the tavern, his eyes lighting up.
At this row of tables, even the pitchers and dishes were of a much higher quality than the others. The food and wine were probably more delicious, too.
Everyone else in the tavern was startled and looked over in unison.
They knew that this row of tables was reserved for the intelligence-gathering members of the top-ranking major alliances.
Everyone wondered, ’Does this black-robed person really dare to offend someone from a major alliance?’
One had to know that the captains sent by the major alliances all possessed the strength of the Ninth Layer of the Nascent Soul Realm.
’Can this black-robed person defeat them?’
"Wait! Before you touch my food, I suggest you ask the person behind you if he can afford to offend the Primordial Evil Alliance!"
A man at that table spoke in a cold voice just as Jin Sanbao reached for the food and wine in front of him.
The crowd in the tavern sighed to themselves. ’People from the major alliances really have backing. Now that he’s brought up the Primordial Evil Alliance, who would dare to act recklessly?’
Jin Sanbao froze and turned back in surprise to ask, "Xiaoyao, is that true?"
"It’s just the Primordial Evil Alliance," Yi Xiaoyao said lightly.
In an instant, everyone in the tavern was stunned.
’What does he mean, "just the Primordial Evil Alliance"? How can you use the word "just" to describe the eleventh-ranked major alliance?’

"Hmph! What arrogance!"
The captain from the Primordial Evil Alliance slammed his hand on the table. It was the first time he had ever met someone so arrogant as to look down on the Primordial Evil Alliance.
But at that moment, Yi Xiaoyao’s voice coldly entered the ears of the Primordial Evil Alliance captain.
"Zhu Sha, your master Yuan Lie is dead, and you’ve been reduced to running errands like gathering intelligence?"
Yi Xiaoyao sneered. Gathering intelligence made it extremely difficult to earn Battle Merits, so no one in any alliance would voluntarily accept such a task.
Zhu Sha’s expression changed instantly. The man was right. He had indeed been a captain under Yuan Lie. After Yuan Lie’s death, he was reassigned under Leng Yan, who immediately started making things difficult for him and had him sent here to gather intelligence.
’But how does this black-robed person know all this so clearly?’
The next moment, Zhu Sha seemed to realize something. He had just heard Jin Sanbao call the black-robed man "Xiaoyao," which couldn’t help but remind him of a certain someone who was supposed to be dead.
And the voice of that dead person was a perfect match for the black-robed man’s voice right now!
Zhu Sha pieced together these bits of information in his mind, then shot to his feet in shock and shouted in utter horror.
"You’re Yi Xiaoyao!? You’re not dead!?"
As soon as he said this, the tavern erupted in an uproar.
"Yi Xiaoyao?"
"Could he be the Blood Sword?"
Immediately after, the faces of the crowd turned deathly pale.
Everyone understood the consequences of knowing that name.
Seeing that he had been recognized, Yi Xiaoyao offered an apologetic smile to the crowd.
"You can’t blame me for this. If you have to blame someone, blame Zhu Sha. He’s the one who got you all killed."
A few moments later, Yi Xiaoyao and Jin Sanbao walked out of the Black Cloud Tavern.
Behind them, the tavern erupted into a sea of fire.
