Devouring Sword God
Chapter 160: Treatment
Chapter 160: Chapter 160: Treatment
Boulders were still tumbling down the nearby mountain peak with a RUMBLE, and the massive hole bored through it was exceptionally eye-catching.
The Golden Core Realm Cultivators watching nearby were all deathly silent.
At that moment, even the strongest experts on the Hidden Dragon List in the crowd couldn’t help but gulp, their Adam’s apples bobbing as they stared blankly at the hole.
’What terrifying power! Who could possibly withstand such an attack?’
In a single strike, not only had he effortlessly shattered the strongest attack of Ye Qingqing, ranked twentieth on the Hidden Dragon List, but he had also pierced straight through a mountain peak, blasting such a massive hole!
It was simply unbelievable!
"I’m afraid only a Nascent Soul Realm expert could produce that level of power!"
"Is Yi Xiaoyao really just in the Golden Core Realm?"
"Not only is he just in the Golden Core Realm, he’s only at the Golden Core Fourth Realm! To think he’s so terrifyingly powerful!"
Everyone stared wide-eyed in shock. They were all awestruck by the terrifying sword strike that had pierced a mountain, their hearts filled with deep-seated terror and fear.
Even Yi Xiaoyao himself was astonished. ’The Fifth Technique of the Nine Swords of Slaughter is actually this terrifying.’
But on second thought, it made sense. Each technique of the Nine Swords of Slaughter possessed immense explosive power.
This was especially true after mastering Sword Intent. Starting from the fourth technique, there was a qualitative leap in power, with each subsequent technique being comparable to an Earth Tier Swordsmanship.
The wide-area burst of the fourth technique was already so powerful, to say nothing of the might of the Fifth Technique, which concentrated all that explosive power into a single point.
However, achieving this required extremely fine control over one’s Sword Intent. Thus, one had to at least reach the level of Great Mastery of Sword Intent to use it.
At this thought, Yi Xiaoyao’s gaze suddenly sharpened. He frowned as he watched Ye Qingqing’s body fall backward toward the edge of the cliff.
Although his last attack had been terrifyingly powerful, it hadn’t detonated on her. Instead, it had passed straight through her left shoulder, deliberately avoiding her heart.
Yi Xiaoyao had intentionally spared Ye Qingqing’s life. After all, she had given him several chances before, rather than immediately turning on him and trying to kill him. This had made him hold back slightly when he struck.
But now, Ye Qingqing was about to fall off the cliff. In her unconscious state, the fall would undoubtedly be fatal.
Yi Xiaoyao hesitated, debating whether or not he should save her.
Just as Ye Qingqing’s slender form was about to disappear over the cliff’s edge, a figure appeared as if from nowhere and wrapped an arm around her waist.
’Oh, what the hell. Since I didn’t kill her, I might as well save her.’
Yi Xiaoyao looked at the unconscious Ye Qingqing in his arms, his brow furrowing even deeper.
On her left side, near her collarbone, a bloody hole was bleeding profusely.
While such an injury wasn’t considered overly severe for a Cultivator, her life would still be in danger if she didn’t receive timely medical attention.
In the next moment, Yi Xiaoyao’s gaze swept over the nearby crowd, who were all watching him with expressions of both awe and terror.
His gaze seemed to take on a physical weight. Wherever it landed, people flinched as if struck by lightning, stumbling back in terror. They were terrified of being targeted by this monstrous young man; after all, their bodies were hardly as durable as a mountain.
"Everyone," Yi Xiaoyao said coolly, "please proceed to the Sword Cleansing Platform."
His voice was calm, with no hint of a powerful man bullying the weak. To the crowd, however, it sounded like an irrefutable command. They obeyed instantly, and all of them quickly departed.
Once the crowd had dispersed, Yi Xiaoyao crouched down. He reached into Ye Qingqing’s Storage Pouch, found several Healing Elixirs, and fed them to her. A bit of color returned to her pale face.
After a moment’s hesitation, Yi Xiaoyao crushed another Elixir into powder and gently sprinkled it onto her wound.
