Devouring Sword God
Chapter 132: It’s Really Him! Yi Xiaoyao
Chapter 132: Chapter 132: It’s Really Him! Yi Xiaoyao
A blood mist scattered through the air. When a strong wind blew, it all condensed into droplets of blood that fell with a PATTER PATTER.
The members of the Jin Family, so full of imposing momentum just moments before, had now all been reduced to corpses on the ground.
Only Jin Canghai remained, his clothes in tatters, staring blankly at the blood-soaked scene behind him.
Jin Canghai’s breathing grew ragged, his eyes glazed over, and his mind went blank. Even rage could not penetrate his current bewilderment.
THUD!
On the horned horse, the body of Jin Guiyun—his head burst open—crashed to the ground. Jin Canghai whipped his head around, and a towering rage completely consumed him.
"WHO WAS IT!!!"
Jin Canghai’s face twisted into the snarl of a furious lion as he let out a deafening roar.
The surrounding crowd was terrified, their faces drained of all color. If that Sword Qi had been aimed at them, no one present would have escaped alive.
"What in the world is going on?"
"This is terrifying!"
"He killed every single member of the Jin Family with just a wine jar!"
"Just who is this master? Did the Jin Family offend some terrifying entity? Or is this a secret weapon hired by the Tang Family?"
The crowd looked over at the people from Tang Family Castle, only to find them in a similar state of shock. Clearly, they were just as clueless.
As for Tang Ruoxue and Guan Feng, who had been about to leave, there was only one word written on their faces: shock.
"S-Senior Brother," Tang Ruoxue asked, her lips trembling, "that wine jar just now... what was it?"
She had just witnessed it with her own eyes. Jin Canghai, the man who had defeated Guan Feng in a single move, had been forced back dozens of steps by that wine jar. It was easy to imagine the power it held.
Moreover, the astonishing Sword Qi that had erupted from the wine left her scalp tingling even now.
Guan Feng was in no better state. He understood the terror of that wine jar even better than Tang Ruoxue, making his fear all the greater.
"To achieve something like this just by throwing a wine jar... it would require immense Spiritual Power, the Physical Strength of a Body Refiner, and an unbelievably terrifying Sword Qi!"
Guan Feng analyzed, sucking in a sharp breath. "I don’t know what kind of expert could possess so many powerful skills at once. I only know that if I had faced that wine jar, I would be dead without a doubt!"
Jin Canghai roared at the crowd again. "Who was it! Get the hell out here!"
Just then, a path opened up through the crowd.
Then, under the countless gazes of the crowd, a young man in black walked out. He had the bearing of a drawn sword and carried a Blood-colored Long Sword on his back.
An ice-cold voice rang out.
"Jin Canghai, do you remember me?"
Jin Canghai’s face was a mask of shock and fury. He stared intently at the approaching youth. How could he possibly forget?
"Yi Xiaoyao! It’s you, you little bastard!"
Yi Xiaoyao gave a cold smirk. Raising a hand to draw his sword, he said with a laugh, "That funeral wine just now... how did it taste? It was my welcome gift to you."
The crowd erupted at his words.
So the wine jar had been thrown by this very youth!
"It was you!"
Jin Canghai was also stunned, but in the next instant, rage consumed him completely.
"Yi Xiaoyao, I, Jin Canghai, swear I will leave you with no place for a grave today!"
With a roar, Jin Canghai charged like a maddened bull, dense Spiritual Power flaring to life around him as he shot toward Yi Xiaoyao.
"Daluo Golden Seal! Die!"
A giant, golden hand seal materialized, pressing forward with overwhelming momentum, aimed straight for Yi Xiaoyao.
But Yi Xiaoyao merely smiled. ’To think,’ he mused, ’I almost died to this Daluo Golden Seal back then.’
’But now... what does this amount to in my eyes?’
’Nothing at all!’
In the blink of an eye, a brilliant, blood-red blade of light flashed past.
Jin Canghai’s charge came to an abrupt halt right in front of Yi Xiaoyao. The primordial beast-like aura around him vanished in an instant. With a look of utter disbelief, he slowly raised his head and stammered out a few broken words.
"H-how... how is this possible... You..."
Yi Xiaoyao was in no mood to hear him finish. "I told you back then," he said with an indifferent sneer. "If I survived, I would return to personally wipe out your entire Jin Family!"
THUD!
Jin Canghai’s body split in two and collapsed to the ground.
Silence!
The entire area seemed to freeze over. It was utterly silent, so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
Everyone present, including the Tang Family members who had just been wondering about his identity, was stunned into a stupor.
’Jin Canghai... is dead?’
First, a wine jar to annihilate the Jin Family’s men.
Now, a single slash to instantly kill Jin Canghai, a Golden Core Second Realm cultivator!
’Just how terrifying is his strength?’
The brief silence was finally broken as the crowd erupted into a clamor.
"Is... is that really Yi Xiaoyao? The one who was forced to leave the Tang Family?"
"How long has it been? How did Yi Xiaoyao become this powerful so quickly?"
"To have such terrifying strength at his age... it’s unbelievable!"
"Looks like the Tang Family is about to rise!"
The crowd’s fervent discussion snapped the people of Tang Family Castle back to their senses.
"Xiaoyao! Is that you?"
"The Fortress Master is back?"
Everyone held their breath, watching with anticipation as the figure slowly turned.
The first person Yi Xiaoyao saw upon turning was the weary face of Tang Feng. ’Looks like he’s worried himself sick over the Tang Family lately,’ he thought.
"Uncle, it’s me! I’m back!" Yi Xiaoyao said with a smile.
At once, the Tang Family members erupted into unprecedented cheers!
Meanwhile, Tang Ruoxue, who stood among the Tang Family crowd, felt her face go pale and her pupils constrict.
’It’s really him...’
Tang Ruoxue’s expression was incredibly strained.
She couldn’t believe that the next time she saw Yi Xiaoyao, he would be this powerful.
Even a Golden Core Powerhouse as strong as Jin Canghai had been slain by Yi Xiaoyao in a single slash.
’Just one slash... what kind of power is that?’
Her revered Senior Brother Guan Feng hadn’t even been able to withstand a single move from Jin Canghai.
And as for that wine jar, Guan Feng himself had admitted that facing it would have been certain death.
To think she had once compared Guan Feng to Yi Xiaoyao, claiming Yi Xiaoyao couldn’t hold a candle to him.
But on second thought, she was right. Guan Feng truly couldn’t be compared to Yi Xiaoyao. The gap between them was as vast as heaven and earth.
’And as for me?’
All this time, she had thought she’d left Yi Xiaoyao far in her dust. But in reality... the gap between them had widened to a nearly hopeless degree.
’Thinking back on it now, my actions and thoughts were a complete joke.’
Just then, Tang Ruoxue’s gaze on Yi Xiaoyao sharpened.
She watched as a breathtakingly beautiful girl suddenly emerged from the crowd. The girl walked to Yi Xiaoyao’s side, untied the Black Robe she wore, and intimately fastened it around him.
Finally, the devastatingly beautiful girl in the white dress shot Tang Ruoxue a provocative glance.
