Devil Slave (Satan system)

Chapter 397 Taking Over From Perseus

The first one rushed for Perseus with his club in hand.

Only a distance from Perseus, he used the club like a wand, sending a blast of black lightning to Perseus.

*Boom!*

The lightning struck hard.

This time around, Perseus took two steps back.

He raised his head as he frowned.

Perseus was not the brightest, but he was not so dumb as to not understand what was happening.

First was the fire, and now the new guests had also attacked him.

Perseus frowned.

He might not know a lot of things about this world, but there was one thing he knew above all, and that was battle.

“You know, I can use lightning too! Perseus raised a leg high and stepped forward.

Stamping his feet hard on the ground.

*Boom!*

Uneven crackling snakes of Green Lightning paraded the ground as they rushed from under his feet in the direction of the policeman who zapped him.

~SPLAT!~

The policeman popped like the bursting of an over-pumped balloon.

This was the same thing for his clothes.

Squishy organ paste, dismembered chunks, and entrails splattered across the room, smearing on the faces and bodies of the students and the policemen.

For these people in a safe zone such as this, this was the first time they were seeing such a gory sight.

The students screamed, and everybody loaded Perseus with attacks, blasting him through the wall and out of the pocket space into the open.

Perseus rolled out into the open, blasting into a house on the opposite street.

Lenny entered another round of laughter. However, he suddenly remembered something, and he paused.

The points from the system were only granted to him if he was the person who committed the killing.

“No! No! No! Fuck No.”

A policeman had died, which meant some of his points were gone.

The students and policemen rushed through the hole, all of them heading for Perseus.

“Hell No!” Lenny rushed out too.

At this time, Perseus stood to his feet. With a leap against the ground, he lifted the rubble out into the open.

As far as he was concerned, he had not done anything that warranted an attack. All he wanted was a meal, but these people decided to mess with him.

The moment he came out, he could already see the policemen and the students rushing at him.

He stamped his foot on the ground as he took a ready-fighting stance.

~Dum~ the ground echoed a groan to his fierce stamp, like a hammer against a nail.

The civilians around them screamed as they ran to hide.

“It’s a demon attack. A DEMON!!!” one man screamed, and suddenly, the entire place had become chaotic.

Perseus did not carry a weapon since they only came for a meal.

But that did not matter. He did not believe that he needed to use a weapon against such small fry.

Besides, back at the arena, weapons were regarded as just tools. The real threat to life was the gladiator himself.

His eyes and fingers crackled with green electricity.

His hands flared. Seeing them approach ignited his will to battle.

He was a rabid dog, ready to harass a group of chickens. He kicked against the ground and into the air.

However, someone else thought otherwise.

~DUMM~

Perseus suddenly fell to the ground fainted as Lenny smacked him on the head with the base of his pistol.

This sudden turn of events made the Magi rushing over to all pause.

A lot of things were wrong with this image.

Lenny stepped forward with a broad smile on his face.

“I’m sorry, ladies and gentlemen. My companion here went too far. I really apologize for the inconvenience. Please find it in your hearts to forgive him.”

“Huh!?” One of the policemen stepped forward, “forgive him! That demon just committed murder.”

“No! No!! You get it wrong. Forgive him, he is not the one to bring about your deaths. Lenny’s smile suddenly became crazy. “I am!”

He rolled his pistols on his fingers as he looked at them like meat.

At the same time, more Magi gathered from all around. This place was a big expanse of a square.

With Perseus scarring away the locals, there was no one in sight except those that would suffer from him.

This was a hunt, and Lenny was going to enjoy it.

With a sinister grin curling on his lips, Lenny emerged from the shadows, his flintlock pistols gleaming in the early light.

He walked forward with the swagger of a man who had danced with danger and relished every step.

The witches, cloaked in their dark robes adorned with runes, emerged from the alleyways, their eyes aglow with negative magic.

Their voices rose in unison, casting incantations after incantations that sent sparks of energy crackling through the air. But Lenny, a maniac forged in countless battles, was not easily daunted.

Even if he let them finish casting, it would be of no use.

With lightning reflexes, he drew his pistols and fired, the deafening reports echoing through the square.

Bullets streaked through the morning air, finding their mark with deadly precision.

One by one, the Magi fell, their spells left unfinished as they crumpled to the ground.

Lenny’s laughter, high and maniacal, filled the square as he reveled in the chaos he wrought.

<Alert>

<+? Strength>

<+? Magic>

<+? Magic>….

The alerts rushed in from the system.

However, Lenny could not help but frown. 𝘯𝑜𝘷𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝘮

Here he was killing Magi, and the points were growing so slowly.

“FUCK! Are the sisters of Fate so stingy with points?” He thought to himself.

However, he did not stop firing.

He had already started.

There was no point in stopping now that he had gone thus far.

For a good number of them, Lenny did not even look their way.

His passive ability, Presence, allowed him to see all around him.

All he had to do was move his fingers.

The bullets traced the skulls of the Magi like there were holes missing from their heads, meant for them…

(Author’s note: please be patient with it. We will soon reach the arch story and why the sisters of Fate wanted him to kill these Magi!)
