Chapter 286 Going To Town
Minnie came closer once more. Cycling around Athena, as if to get a better view of her.
“And why should I trust you with that? After all, I know he is a buddy of yours. If I’m not mistaken, he sounds like the leader of your little rebel band.”
Athena frowned at her, “Can’t you fucking see? That asshole, left me here to FUCKING DIE! I want… Pay back!”
Those words were said through gritted teeth.
Minnie came even closer, and then her long snake like tongue leaked out of her mouth.
Gently, she took a deep meaning lick of Athena’s cheek.
“Hmmm!!! You taste like you are telling the truth. Good!” Minnie stepped back.
“Let her go!”
“Sister!?” One of the witches complained, obvious disappointment in her eyes of the fact that she did not get to eat Athena.
One look at the other Witches and Athena could tell that it was true.
“I have heard that certain outstanding Half Borns have certain abilities that let them stand out from the rest of the world. I take you have something that could help.”
“Yes, I do.” Athena responded as the Big Witch let her go.
She rose steadily to her fit.
*Crack!*
She popped her dislocated shoulder in place, and then she stepped forward.
Exchanging terrible looks with the witches that looked at her as if she was a tasty snack, or some exotic dish, she walked out a bit.
And then she took deep breaths in and out.
If Lenny had seen Athena now, he would have definitely been impressed. 𝗼𝐯𝐥.𝗻𝐭
She placed a hand on the dried sand beneath her feet.
The moment she did this, her senses spread out in all directions.
Abilities were not as plane as many thought they were.
Like exercising a muscle, the more they were used, the stronger they became.
Athena was no different.
In fact, she was better.
Having no choice but to constantly rely on her incredible senses for survival, her abilities had developed to a terrifying level.
All five senses at this point seem to merge with one another.
The feel of the earth, the smell in the air, the wind in the air, and even her tongue, tracing the circumstances of unnoticed elements in the air.
“What is she doing?” One of the witches asked.
*Shush!* Minnie shushed her up. “Watch!”
And Minnie was right.
Because at this moment, the world seem to become one big projection probably outcomes in Athena’s head.
With the current flow of events, her mind slowly, but steadily seemed to rewind time.
Taking the elements to where they had been before in her head by knowing how they got to their current location.
In this manner, she examined the effects that had caused these changes, bringing out probably outcomes and eliminating outcomes that do not concise with the information she needed.
At this moment, her mind was receiving an amazing amount data.
This was data incredible enough to run down the processing unit of a computer in the world before the apocalypse.
Minnie was was only watching. However, unlike most of her sisters, she saw things differently.
After all, she did not have eyes.
She viewed things based on the energy they emitted.
At the moment, she could see that Athena’s brain activity was off the charts.
No normal person should have that much brain activity happening without their skulls bursting open.
“Interesting.” Minnie commented.
Meanwhile, in Athena’s mind, things moved back in time, as it did, her nose slowly started to bleed.
However, she Frowned as she put in more effort, burning her Darkline magic in the process.
Finally, she found what she was looking for.
It was only a glimpse of him. But it was enough.
Athena fell to the ground.
However, before she touched the ground, Minnie had teleported to catch her.
Gently, she used her fingers to wipe the blood that was actively flowing from Athena’s orifices, evidence that she had pushed herself too far.
Even her eyes were no exception.
“You a remarkable skill, little flower, if my Coven wasn’t already endowed, I would have been very tempted to steal you.”
That was a compliment that left the other Witches looking at each other with question marks on their heads.
“Now, tell me. Where is Lenny Tales?”
Slowly, Athena lifted a hand, and pointed in a particular direction.
If Lenny had seen this, he would truly have been impressed.
After all, it had already been yen days since he left.
To be able to accurately pinpoint the path he had taken in this obviously huge, dry place, it showed that her level of skill and Ability was one of a kind and almost out of this world.
In fact, with such a talent, Lenny might have even recommended that she joined his line of profession.
The point she pointed, she fainted.
Minnie lifted Athena and placed her over her shoulder, “come on girls. Our hunt is not far now. Soon, we will be swimming in the blood and flesh of a hundred Half-borns.”
The Witches hissed in their excitement as they followed along.
……
Meanwhile, Lenny followed behind Scarface.
According to Scarface, they were three towns in total in this place, and about six different villages.
Each one used to keep to themselves as much as possible.
However, that was a long time ago. Hunger was a driving factor that drove most to madness.
According to him, two towns have already be destroyed because of the violence.
Nevertheless, one town strived hard to maintain as much peace as much as possible.
It was the same town housing the one person Scarface was taking Lenny to.
However, it was quite a distance from here.
Since Scarface’s town was just around the corner, they were going to get a ride before setting off.
The moment they got to the town, Lenny looked around in amazement.
For the first time since he came to this world, it was starting to look like the apocalypse.
At least the people did.
