Chapter 269 Welcoming Cottage House
All three hands of the compasses moved, pointing in one direction.
“Wow, that is a cool accessory to have.” She giggled shyly, like a little girl that had just received a present from her father.
Cuban pretended not to have noticed this.
“If that will be all, then I suggest that you begin your hunt already.” Cuban turned, and walked towards his throne.
“Oh, no! I just remembered something,” she raised hand like an enthusiastic child trying to answer a question in class. “You see, I am down for the entire hunting thing, but as you I’ll be entering another Witch’s domain and all that. I don’t think you noticed, but Ciri is an Elder Witch, and we do not even belong in the same coven. Besides, the Blood moon is around the corner and…”
Cuban frowned at her obvious Rumbling.
“How much is your fee?” He straight up asked her.
“Yeah!” He clapped her hands excitedly, “If I’m not mistaking, you are an Arena master right?” Her long tongue escaped her mouth and licked her lips.
“I want 200 Half-borns. 150 males, and 50 females.”
“You get 50 males and 50 females.” Cuban stated firmly and without argument. “Do not disappoint me.” He turned and walked away.
Domani remained behind. She turned to Winnie, “was it all that necessary to provoke him?”
She scuffed a bit, “I was only letting him know that I was capable for the job.”
However, Domani frowned, “I just you are not that foolish on the future. The only reason you are not dead is not because of your skills. It’s because he wants you to be. All he did was measure what your capabilities would be like against Lenny’s level.”
Those words effectively froze her frown on her face.
Domani turned and walked away.
Winnie paused and then she asked behind Domani, “I thought he killed your son, why are you helping him?”
Domani paused, and her eyes faintly moistened up a bit, “trust me when I say this, I am helping me.”
He walked out of the hall.
Winnie turned her head as if she was trying to understand those words.
Unable to understand, she gave up and teleported away.
Domani had only turned through a corridor and was ready to go to her room.
However, a hand grabbed her and turned her against the wall.
She chuckled lightly, “I see you still want that FUCK!” Arching her waist to his groin area.
Cuban leaned in, pretending not to understand her obvious tease., “she alone will not be enough for him.” Cuban stated his worries.
“Don’t worry, she would not be alone. She is a witch. They hunt as a coven.”
……
Meanwhile, Lenny, Hector, Athena and Crusher stared upon the cottage before them.
It was a simple Cottage house.
Lenny had seen many like it in his former world.
It had roofing that was an even mixture of Wood and Hay.
The cottage itself was a nine feet house with an extension of itself by the side.
The main house plus the extension were a little about twenty meters.
It had a chimney that smoked slightly.
This was something that was formerly not noticeable from the former distance that they had from the place.
In front was a porch and a rocking chair, still rocking on its own.
“Someone lives here,” Lenny stated.
He waved his hands and two Katana blades appeared in each hand.
Lenny waved his hands.
These gladiators were fighters. They naturally understood what he meant.
Steadily, they all got ready for a fight as Lenny avances towards the porch and the others circled around.
Everyone’s steps were careful and subtle.
After all, they were not sure if the person in this place was going to be a friend or an enemy.
Lenny advanced for the wooden door.
Slowly, he reached for the doorknob.
The moment he was about to touch it, the doorknob changed into a mouth with six inches long teeth and reached to take a bite from his hand.
Lenny’s reflexes were sharp to back off.
However, Lenny was unfortunately not the only one that something with teeth wanted to take a bite out of.
Crusher and Perseus had taken the right side of the house and Hector and Athena had taken the left side.
As Crusher and Perseus advanced, they could hear little growling sounds.
It was the same sound that was made when bones and mearbwere crushed simultaneously.
This made them all the more, extra careful as they approached.
They did not rush, but advanced one step at a time.
And then, they saw it.
It was feeding on the caucus of a mutated cow.
The mutated cow itself, would have been a beast that would give them worry if they were back in the in the arena.
From it’s yet to be eaten head, it was obvious that was nothing like the measely mutated beasts that were fought in the arena.
Those ones had been breed there, and although their strength differed in accordance to the Gladiator class that was to fight them, it was nothing like the dead one before them. 𝚘𝚟𝚕.t
This one was obviously wild.
It had three horns. Two large ones on the side and then one big one in the middle.
It also had three eyes on each side of it’s head.
All of which appeared to be lifeless.
At least, they thought it was, until it’s eyes turned to them.
A movement that was both sharp and very creepy.
Especially because a giant dog a little bit bigger than the mutated cow stood by the side of the cow feeding on it.
However, the moment that the cow’s eyes move, so did the sensitive ears of the dog twitch.
This dog was 13 meters in height.
It was essentially a giant bull dog.
Slowly, it turned towards them. Its mouth still bloody from its meal.
But that was not all. The Cow also stood to it’s feet. Before their very eyes, it’s carved out belly slowly Healed up….
