Chapter 258 Bad Reputation
It was not until the rise of the sun did Crusher awake once more.
The moment he did, he hurriedly looked around for Insect-B. Unfortunately, it was as he thought, she was gone.
She had been pulled away by negative Spirits last night.
Instantly, he jumped to his feet and set out into the Forest, “INSECT-B! INSECT-B!!” He screamed her name, again and again.
However there was no response.
“Please stop doing that,” Lenny adviced from a corner.
At the moment, Lenny was resting against a tree as he observed the destroyed Katana in one hand.
This was the same sword he had stabbed with but had gotten destroyed, and on his other hand, were two ruby eyeballs.
His fingers played with them as he continually stared at the broken sword.
Crusher looked at him with a frown.
He walked over to him, “you stopped me from going after her yesterday. Tell me you have a good reason.”
Lenny took a look at Crusher and then back at the cut metal in his hand.
Lenny truly could not comprehend talking with a muscle brain like Crusher.
In fact, he was next to not interested.
However, he was more interested in the ruby eyeballs.
At the moment, even he could feel the dense power within them.
This was a kind of magic that he had never seen before.
After much contemplation, he popped one of the ruby eyeballs into his mouth.
<Alert>

<Mission Opportunity detected>
<Magic Points needed for Magic Upgrade 5000>
<Points acquired from one Negative Ruby Eye= 10>
<Consume more Negative Magic to increase points>
“Huh!? Just ten?” Lenny thought to himself.
He was about to pop the second one into his mouth when Crusher, unable to stand the silence anymore walked forward and grabbed him by the arms.
“LENNY!” He looked him in the eyes, “fucking answer me.”
Crusher might have been a muscle head, bit he was certainly not a fool.
He had known Lenny long enough to have an inkling of the Assassin’s thought process.
Lenny had stopped him the previous night with a punch to the face.
He believed that Lenny would not just allow Insect-B go and that he had a plan.
Truth be told, Lenny did have a plan, but Insect-B was not the saving goal.
Instead she was his tracking means.
Lenny smiled at him, “you know me well.”
Lenny turned to the others.
“We have a hunt to catch. However, please note the following. Unless it’s my magic, Darkline magic does not seem to work on these guys,” he looked at the blade in his arms, “and neither does weapons.
“Now, I really won’t mind going on this hunt on my own, but I doubt the possibility of you guys having a good fate if those things come back.
“Nevertheless, I won’t mind leaving you behind. So what do you guys say?”
Athena, Hector and Perseus looked at one another.
There sighed as they nodded.
Lenny turned to Crusher, “don’t worry, nothing will happen to her. At least not yet!”
Crusher frowned, “and what makes you so sure?”
Lenny had walked past him when Crusher asked.
He paused and turned to him, throwning him the destroyed piece of Katana in his hands.
Crusher caught it.
“One stap into that thing, and that sword was gone. This was the same thing for Athena’s short sword, and yet, that thing nearly fully absorbed you. Yet, even with it’s terrible sharp teeth, you came out untouched. Think about it, the answer is simple”
Lenny turned and walked away.
Crusher paused to think about Lenny’s words.
Now that he thought about bout it, it was actually true.
If these things had really eaten her, they would have at least eaten half of him too.
After all, the swords had come out half destroyed.
There was nothing stopping them from doing the same thing to him.
This meant that these things were not feeding.
No! They were doing something else.
Crusher’s eyes brightened at this, “she was captured.”
“Ding ding. You got it boy. Finally, you are catching up,” Lenny praised.
But the question now is, “Captured for what reason?”
Crusher frowned once more.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I think we might be able to find some answers there.” Lenny pointed at a mountain in the distance.
To be precise, it was a cottage.
Maybe it was because of the time period they had entered the Forest.
However none of them had noticed it until now.
It was just about two Kilometers from their current location.
The group members looked at one another and nodded.
A decision had been made, and they all headed for it.
…..
Meanwhile, ever since Cuban got back from the formerly known Spring town, he had been in a fit of constant rage.
At first it was poured on the lesser demons around him, and then it was on Basit’s former women.
Since his return, he had done nothing but essentially have aggressive sex with them.
After all, at the moment, it was his only way to vent.
Things had really not been going well for him.
Aside from the destruction of Spring town, he had returned to receive yet another terrible news. 𝚍n𝚘v𝚕.𝚝
Just like that, all the children and babies that he had either intended on auctioning out or had already auctioned out had blown up.
All he came back to meet was a mess of blood and fire.
This was also true for the Arena masters that had already taken the stock home.
Of course, many of them requested for a refund.
However, most Demon deals were sealed with contracts.
This meant that even if the product proved to be useless or faulty, it was the buyers business.
This insetive was surprisingly first proposed to Cuban by the Arena masters.
They were afraid that Cuban might want the babies back and only bought by Contract.
This ended up being their loss.
Aside from the ones that blew up in his new home, he had actually not lost so much, except of course, his reputation with the Arena masters….
(Author’s note: there was a bit of mix up, but please note that chap: Bad Reputation is after First meet with Negative spirits. Then comes Venting Anger before Domani’s ways)
