Chapter 228 A123 Ends The Arena
“Where the fuck did you get that?” A222 asked.
However, seeing as A123 had only brought it out now, she had a very good guess of were it might have originated from.
For the last couple of days, A222 had the opportunity to be beside Lenny.
Many of his actions even by Gladiator standards were considered to very crazy.
However, she had to admit that his mind was both a terrible place and a mystery.
Without needing to know from her lover, she guessed that Lenny had planned this out.
She shook her head, “no! Don’t do it!”
A123 groaned a little. He knew A222 was not going to be in support of this.
After all, they had seen with their own eyes what happened when one took the Devil pill.
The physical change was not one she was sure he could recover from.
He even doubted recovery as a possibility.
“A123, please don’t do it.” As she pleaded, tears were already apparent in her eyes. She was obviously scared of losing him.
C888 watched from a corner. He did not say a word.
He knew that he did not have any right to.
This was between A222 and A123.
The Devil pill was really not a joking matter.
A123 suddenly pulled A222 closer by her waist.
He sank a deep kiss in her lips as his hand caressed her cheek and neck.
“Whatever happens, remember, I love you!” He whispered.
Even though he was not dying, those words were spoken as a resolve for death.
He suddenly pushed her back as he decisively popped the first pill into his mouth.
The moment the pill entered his stomach, the chaos magic trapped within the pill was set loose.
Like a rabid dog that had broken out of it’s chains, it ran wild inside A123’s body.
Like the rush of uncontrollably waves after a broken dam, it flooded his veins, arteries, seeping into every cell like water into sponge.
It mixed with his darkline magic in his cells as it fought for dominance at a genetic level over his body.
His bones broke and then mended themselves in the preferrence of the Chaos magic running rampart inside him.
This change was the same for his muscles. It expanded them abnormally and then as if the air had been forced out of an already pumped balloon.
His muscles suddenly deflated.
A123 crouched on the ground in the bodily change and pain his body was going through.
When the other gladiators had used it before, all they saw was the change, but going through the process by himself, he discovered that it was actually quite painful.
The change took only a few seconds but to A123 those few seconds might as well been hours.
However, the moment the process was done, he felt as if both the pain and the change he had felt his body go through was all just a silly dream.
Slowly, he stood to his feet as he turned to A222.
However, as he did, he noticed that she instinctively took a step back.
It was not until he stood to full length that he discovered that he was at least a feet taller than he had been before.
Even C888 looked at him strangely.
His eyes caught sight of the Metallic tray used for the fruits on the ground.
Slowly, he picked it up to take a look.
What he saw surprised him.
A123 was now skinnier.
It was as if his muscles had become one with his skeletal system. His ribs were almost too clear to see.
His skin had become a dark shade of red.
On his head were three horns shooting out like antennas.
Surprisingly, he had managed to retain his normal appearance, but his pupils had become red like that of a devil with the surrounding white becoming black as night.
He took a step towards A222.
She wanted to instinctively unsheath her weapons but she stopped herself.
Swallowing hard, she took a step towards him.
“A123!?” She called to him.
He nodded, “yes my love.”
His voice was subtle but echoed abnormally.
It was at this moment that he noticed even though he had talked, his mouth had not moved. 𝚍o𝚟𝚕.org
His voice had sounded like the echo off a wall.
He looked below.
Right on the center of his chest, there was a thin vertical line that extendup to the base of his neck.
There were long fangs sticking out of it.
This irritated him and he almost panicked but she hurried to him and hugged him tight.
As she did, he tears fell, staining his body.
Slowly, he wrapped his skinny arms around her.
After a few seconds of this silent but intimate reassurance, she backed away, gently.
“Thank you!” His deep voice echoed through his chest again.
She nodded at him, and he at her.
A123 turned to face the Arena. Now, he was ready.
“You guys might want to leave this place,” A223 added as he advanced forward.
That was a warning both C888 and A222 could agree with.
A222 was aware that A123 had just grown very significantly in strength.
Formerly, she had her methods for when he was to use the Voice of Bedlam.
However, she doubted them now.
Instantly, she followed behind C888 through the door they had come from.
The moment they were gone, A123 broke through the glass and then he stood on the ledge of the balcony.
As he did, some demons in the Arena noticed this.
After all, where he stood was known to be Cuban’s private Luxury box.
Many could sense the chaos magic seeping from his body.
Naturally, this stole their attention from the deaths happening below.
They did not understand, and some whispered amongst themselves.
However, A123 suddenly burst into a loud laughter.
This laughter was commanding and expressive of the joy he felt.
“Who could have thought that one day, I’ll end this hell hole,” he thought to himself.
He could clearly see their confused faces, “Don’t worry, you are all going to die…”
