“Mommy, I definitely want to go to kindergarten. I don’t have friends at home, and Baobei doesn’t like that.” Baobei shook her head; she also wanted to make pretty friends like those in the picture books.

Besides, it seemed that all the people around her were little boys; she wanted to have little girls as friends.

“Baobei wants to go, but are you comfortable letting her go alone?” Gu Qingxin looked over at her son.

Turning to look at Baobei, he wondered if she was too weak; would she be bullied if she went?

“Hello, Qianchen, how’s your work going?”

“It’s all good now. I’m at the airport and will be there tonight… Did you see today’s news?” Rong Qianchen was concerned it might have affected her.

Gu Qingxin explained the situation to Rong Qianchen.

“I see, as long as you’re okay.” Rong Qianchen felt relieved after hearing her.

“I’m fine, nothing to worry about, just be careful on your way.” Gu Qingxin cautioned him.

“Okay, see you when I get back.”

After the call with Rong Qianchen, Gu Qingxin continued working and didn’t stop until the evening.

Aside from eating, she didn’t leave her room.

After checking the time, she figured Rong Qianchen should have arrived and called him to confirm he was back safely, then felt at ease.

Bai Qianqian was now unable to drive, so Bai Jingqing accompanied them. Even if she were able to drive, Bai Jingqing would surely have gone anyway.
