Gu Qingxin hurriedly turned over and hugged herself tightly, her lips pale. She clutched herself, trembling uncontrollably.

A piece of clothing was laid over her body, still carrying warm body heat.

Gu Qingxin looked back and saw a familiar face.

Beiming Jue suddenly jerked his head up to glare at him.

"I’m rescuing the woman I love," Ye Qi replied, looking at him with a blank face. Honestly, just punching him once was far too lenient.

What Ye Qi most wanted was to castrate him first, then use a dagger to stab hole after hole into his body until he bled out and died.

When Gu Qingxin heard Ye Qi’s words, her body stiffened. She raised her head to look at him, uneasily lowering her arms.

"The woman you love! Heh heh~~ That’s something Beiming Han really ought to hear!" Beiming Jue sneered nonstop.

"Whatever," Ye Qi’s expression still didn’t change.

"Ye Qi, you want to take her away? You make it sound way too easy. The Mister came back with you, didn’t he?" Beiming Jue curled his lips in a wicked smirk, his face full of mockery.

"That’s right, he’s right outside. So what?" Ye Qi’s eyes were as dark as an ancient well, impossible to see what lay within.

"You’ll find out what soon enough." Beiming Jue wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, shot another unwilling look at the woman in Ye Qi’s arms, then turned and walked out.

Ye Qi was about to head out as well, but his steps halted again. He lowered his head to look at the woman in his arms and asked softly, "Do you trust me?"

Gu Qingxin was also gazing at him. She nodded hard.

"Mm." Ye Qi laid her back down again, picked up the clothing covering her, and quickly helped her put it on.

Gu Qingxin’s face flushed hot, because this meant Ye Qi could see her body. Even if it was only part of it, given the relationship between her and Ye Qi...it was still very embarrassing.

Once he was done, Ye Qi took out a small bottle and held it to her nose for her to sniff. The smell was awful, and Gu Qingxin almost choked, but Ye Qi said, "Just inhale once and you’ll feel better."

"Remember, when we go out in a bit, don’t say or do anything. Leave everything to me. Okay?" Ye Qi discussed it with her.

Gu Qingxin pressed her lips together. Even though she had so many things she wanted to ask him, she knew now wasn’t the time to talk, so she just nodded.

Ye Qi picked her up again and walked out of the bedroom. Once they reached the doorway, Ye Qi stopped in his tracks. Gu Qingxin saw that besides Beiming Jue, there were two more people in the room.

One was a man dressed in pitch-black clothes, so thin he looked deformed, like some vengeful ghost crawled up from hell!

There was another man sitting on the sofa, but from this angle she couldn’t see his face at all.

"Mister." Ye Qi’s voice carried a hint of respect.
