Destined with You
Chapter 2658 - 2673: This Is Just Too Despicable! (2)
He certainly didn’t want his precious daughter to starve.
The luxurious hotel restaurant had been arranged in advance by Leng Chi.
In the grand private room, there were only the four of them, and within five minutes, a whole table of dishes was served, astonishing the child.
"Wow! I’ve never seen so many dishes at once!" Baobei blinked, catching the scent of the dishes, her small hands already itching to move.
"Tell me what you like to eat, and I’ll serve it to you." Beiming Han gazed at his daughter with affection.
"I don’t even know what I like to eat, there are so many dishes here I’ve never seen before!" Baobei pointed to one dish, saying, "I want to try this."
Beiming Han immediately served her a bit, not too much, because he wanted Baobei to try each dish. After sampling them all, she’d be full.
Baobei picked up the food and ate it; the taste was indeed amazing.
Beiming Han also served dishes to Gu Qingxin and Xia Tian, already well-familiar with Gu Qingxin’s preferences.
As for Xia Tian, having lived with him for some time, the little fellow didn’t hide his tastes at all, and Beiming Han had learned them quite well.
Only his daughter’s taste was unknown to him, and he was desperate to learn all of her habits right now.
Having played all morning, Gu Qingxin and Xia Tian were also hungry. Gu Qingxin didn’t want to compromise herself; she picked up her chopsticks, served some dishes to Xia Tian, and began to eat.
Beiming Han kept attending to Baobei, meticulously embodying the look of a good father.
Gu Qingxin, however, felt unmoved; all she could think of was five years ago, when Beiming Han cruelly insisted on her aborting the child.
She vividly remembered clutching him tightly, begging him not to do this, pleading with him not to leave, yet he heartlessly pushed her to the ground...
Did having a terminal illness justify hurting her? Justify not having their child?
"Xin’er, eat shrimp, your favorite."
While she was lost in thought, Beiming Han had swiftly peeled a plate of shrimp and placed it in front of her.
"Mommy, I finally understand why you like shrimp so much. These are really delicious, I absolutely love them too."
Gu Qingxin looked towards Baobei; there was also a small plate of shrimp in front of her, and the little one was eating happily.
"Baobei, eat a little less; your stomach is weak and digestion isn’t great." Gu Qingxin quickly stopped her.
"But Uncle Han helped me peel them, if I don’t eat, it’d waste Uncle Han’s kind gesture, I want to finish them." Baobei continued to put the food into her little mouth.
"Baobei, if you can’t eat, eat less; your health is important." Naturally, Beiming Han prioritized his daughter’s health above all.
"Okay then, Mommy, you eat for me and I won’t eat anymore."
Baobei smiled sweetly at her mommy. She remembered last time when dining with Uncle Han, Uncle Han said Mommy liked shrimp, so she did it on purpose just now.
Now Baobei thought if Uncle Han and Mommy got married, even if Uncle Han became her stepdad, she’d be really happy!
"Baobei!" Gu Qingxin’s face involuntarily tightened.
"Mommy, you taught me not to waste the kindness of those who are good to us. Uncle Han likes us, that’s why he helps peel the shrimp for us; did I do something wrong?" Baobei asked earnestly.
Gu Qingxin, "..."
"Mommy, eat, eat."
