Chapter 1066: Chapter 498: The Man Who Wants to Be a Player (First Update, Monthly Ticket Requested!)
"Lilin, you’re absolutely right! I really love my house too! I knew we had the same taste!"
"Mrs. Miller, you are too modest! You’re a star alumnus of the National Academy of Fine Arts, while I’m dealing with numbers every day—thanks to you, Mrs. Miller, I’ve improved my aesthetic sense..."
The two were obviously familiar with each other and had a good relationship. After a round of chit-chat, the sense of distance between them completely vanished.
Mrs. Wright had already volunteered to help Mrs. Miller find a long-term tenant.
Mrs. Miller was also willing to have a familiar face from the neighborhood look after her house. Even though this person wouldn’t have to do anything, she could notify her, the landlord, immediately in case of an emergency.
By the end of the phone call, Mrs. Miller had fully authorized Mrs. Wright to act as her agent to find a long-term tenant and had even given her the account and password for her landlord email.
With these in hand, Lawrence Winters immediately understood what she planned to do.
Sure enough, Mrs. Wright logged into the email and searched for the documentation Miss Tang had sent to Mrs. Miller when she initially rented the house.
This included a copy of her driver’s license, a copy of her social security number, and even a copy of her passport.
The birth date on the copies of the driver’s license and passport matched what they had previously investigated.
Now it was time to check her birth certificate.
Mrs. Wright pondered for a while, then picked up her phone to contact a private investigator to check the specific date on Miss Tang’s birth certificate.
The private investigator requested Miss Tang’s name, birth date, social security number, and all her various social media accounts, and responded to Mrs. Wright, saying he’d get back to her in three days.
Private investigators possess more techniques than ordinary people.
Mrs. Wright placed the task with the private investigator, focusing solely on figuring out how to obtain Miss Tang’s hair or blood sample.
That day, the weather wasn’t great; the sky was overcast and seemed like it might rain at any moment.
Mrs. Wright picked up two children from an outside daycare, drove past Miss Tang’s house, and noticed her dressed in flowing white attire, wearing a white sunhat, holding garden shears, and carrying a flower basket, resembling an ethereal fairy pruning the azalea branches in the garden.
Azaleas are extremely easy to cultivate and have a long blooming season. Just watering them regularly can give them a stunning display from spring to late summer.
Mrs. Wright sneered disdainfully, pressed the gas pedal, and drove quickly back to her own home.
After returning home, she handed the two children over to the nanny and changed into comfortable clothes herself, carrying a garden trowel and flower basket, before heading straight to the doorstep of Miss Tang’s home.
She rang the doorbell at the white fence about waist-high.
The sound of the doorbell was comparable to wind chimes swaying under the eaves, albeit louder.
Miss Tang raised her head from the azaleas, her delicate face slightly flushed, more captivating than the flowers.
A trace of indescribable jealousy flashed in Mrs. Wright’s eyes.
But she maintained her excellent demeanor, with a sweet smile, waving the garden trowel as she said to Miss Tang, "Miss Tang, I’m sorry for the disturbance, but Mrs. Miller called me the day before yesterday, asking me to check how her house is doing. You don’t mind if I come in and have a look, do you?"
She had the landlord’s authorization to act as the landlord’s agent, so how could anyone refuse her entry?
Miss Tang furrowed her brows, clearly displeased but barely managed to say, "Since Mrs. Miller agreed, you may come in."
Mrs. Wright pushed open the half-open gate with a smile as she walked in.
She strolled casually around the yard and finally stopped at the azalea garden, suddenly saying earnestly, "Miss Tang, half a year ago one midnight, I saw many people suddenly appear here in the front yard having a party."
Miss Tang chuckled coldly, "I heard from those Celestial Path Sect members that you’re hallucinating, right? You’re talking about something that never happened like it’s real!"
"Whether it’s true or not, both you and I know." Mrs. Wright continued to smile sweetly.
She was slightly shorter than Miss Tang, a bit more voluptuous, without as much grace, but had a voluptuous sensuality reminiscent of Roman goddesses—an exuberant passion rather than a willowy etherealness.
When she smiled sweetly, two deep dimples appeared on her rounded face.
Coincidentally, Miss Tang also had two deep dimples, although she rarely smiled, making them less noticeable.
However, those watching the livestream remembered Miss Tang’s ironic smile, which also clearly showcased two dimples.
The two women shared a similar vibe and aura in their very bones.
Lawrence Winters seemed to understand why Mr. Yu got married to Anna Wright after breaking up with his first love.
Because she resembles the type he likes.
To wax poetic, ever since breaking up with his first love, the women he has been attracted to have all mirrored her influence...
Men think they can be like Neptune, embodying universal love, but deep down they only prefer one type and vibe of woman—they just don’t realize it themselves.
Lawrence Winters silently taunted while watching the livestream of Mrs. Wright continuing to provoke.
"Miss Tang, when will you leave my husband?"
Miss Tang seemed somewhat irritated; she removed her sunhat and fanned herself with it, saying coolly, "Mrs. Wright, have you finished looking? If you’re done, please leave. This is the house I rented, which now belongs to me."
"Well, can you leave this community, my husband?" Mrs. Wright added with a gracious smile. "If you can leave, I can also leave."
Now that they were at the stage of laying cards on the table, she could still smile sweetly while maintaining the demeanor of the main wife.
Lawrence Winters watched in awe while popping a raspberry in her mouth.
Just as she thought Mrs. Wright would remain gentle and courteous, the livestream took a dramatic turn.
Once Miss Tang firmly refused to move out, Mrs. Wright emitted a hysterical shout, "You vixen! Seducing someone else’s husband—you’re not human! You must not be human!"
She lunged at Miss Tang, swinging the garden trowel.
Miss Tang blocked Mrs. Wright’s hand, took the garden trowel from her, and tossed it onto the grass.
Mrs. Wright struggled and shoved vehemently, while Miss Tang tried to steady herself, but behind Miss Tang were the brilliantly blooming azaleas.
Although the azaleas looked delicate, their branches were quite sturdy.
Miss Tang took a step back and almost tripped over the branches.
She staggered backward, unable to keep her balance, and instinctively lunged forward, landing right in front of Mrs. Wright.
Mrs. Wright immediately reached out, grabbed Miss Tang’s hair fiercely, then clutched her neck and threw her to the ground.
Lawrence Winters saw clearly that Mrs. Wright had long fingernails, probably wearing fake nail covers—her fingertips flashed red, distinctly scratching Miss Tang and causing her to bleed...
