Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau
Chapter 1057: The Four Irons of Life
Chapter 1057 -495: The Four Irons of Life
The car’s windows were tinted in a deep shade, making it impossible to see who was inside.
However, it was driving slowly, in the same direction as her jogging route.
Ahead, Lawrence Winters looked towards Mrs. Fang’s white Spanish-style villa.
Lawrence’s pace slowed even further.
She watched as the BMW stopped at the entrance of the white villa, then the car door opened and a tall man in a suit emerged.
He looked a bit haggard, with his suit jacket open and his tie pulled askew, hanging crookedly around his neck.
His suit pants were also wrinkled, the creases were very noticeable.
After getting out of the car, he turned around, allowing Lawrence to see his face.
He was an aged man, definitely not young, but he didn’t appear old; rather, he was very mature and steady, with specks of grey stubble suggesting he might have spent a sleepless night.
His facial features were gentle, carrying an air of cultured scholarly temperament, displaying a kind of decadent laziness amid the weariness, and his demeanor and charm were truly first-rate.
Could this be the man that Mrs. Fang and Miss Tang were both vying for — Mr. Yu?
Almost as if responding to Lawrence’s thoughts, the door of Mrs. Fang’s white villa opened, and Mrs. Fang stepped out to greet him.
She too looked as if she hadn’t slept all night, yet she was meticulously dressed, her dress subtly emphasizing her figure. The style seemed somewhat retro, complementing her slightly round face, a head full of small curled short hair, and the elegant lines of her posture, without seeming dated at all.
Like a lady who had stepped out of a foreign magazine from the fifties or sixties.
That era was the most liberated and chaotic abroad.
Mrs. Fang hurried down the steps, her wide skirt billowing like a sail spread out over the ocean.
She rushed into the man’s arms, embracing him tightly.
The man also lowered his head, kissed her forehead, and exchanged a kiss with her before walking with her into the house, their steps unsteady.
Lawrence stopped in her tracks, involuntarily tugging at the corner of her mouth.
This is the woman whose husband is having an affair…
Is it really only someone else’s fault for tempting her husband, did that man bear no responsibility at all?
Lawrence shook her head, that’s why she wouldn’t take on assignments from either side.
She just wanted to uncover the truth, whether Mr. Yu “deserved it” or Miss Tang “revealed her true colors,” she wasn’t interested.
But today, it seemed, the man hadn’t gone to Miss Tang’s place, as his car was clearly coming from outside the community.
While Miss Tang’s house was inside the community, in a different direction.
Lawrence tended to believe Mr. Yu looked this way because he had worked overnight or socialized all evening.
She waited until the two had entered the house and even closed the door before continuing her run.
After just a few steps, she saw Miss Tang standing under the dense shade of a large tree, dressed in sportswear, cradling a white Pekingese dog, also looking in Mrs. Fang’s direction.
When she approached, the Pekingese dog was the first to notice her and immediately barked at her.
Miss Tang casually stroked its back, and the Pekingese’s crisp barking turned into a soft whimpering, evidently enjoying the attention.
Lawrence, seeing she had been spotted, didn’t make any attempt to hide.
She smiled as she walked over, nodding to Miss Tang in greeting, “Good morning, Miss Tang.”
Miss Tang turned to look at her, smiling politely, “Ah, it’s Master Lawrence? Up so early…”
“Early to bed and early to rise… Running in the morning feels great, the air here is really nice, high in oxygen content,” Lawrence said spreading her arms, taking deep breaths.
Miss Tang nodded reservedly, “Indeed, Master Lawrence, continue your run. I’m heading back.”
She seemed to have come out for a run as well, with beads of sweat glistening on her forehead.
Of course, it might have been drops of dew, as under the tree where she stood, dew was plentiful.
Lawrence hadn’t been standing there long before several drops of dew had dripped on her.
A bit annoyed, she swiftly ran off.
Looking back, she saw Miss Tang alone with her white Pekingese dog, a silhouette strangely forlorn and pitiful.
Lawrence shook her head, wondering if she was getting sentimental in her old age, becoming increasingly soft-hearted.
What did these people have to do with her?
As a Heavenly Master, it’s better to reach the state of ‘Supreme Forget Emotions.’
…
After breakfast, Lawrence told the host she wanted to meet Miss Tang.
