DesertCraft: Fishing Pocket Heaven
Chapter 116: The Way Out
About Half an Hour Later.
“Finally figured a way out…”
In the base overview mode, Yu Zhiye stared at the portal management interface that hovered over the stone archway.
[Mysterious Portal (Inactive)]
A secure magical gateway to other dimensions.
[Available Anchors]
[Ward A] [Soul 1]
Good news. Even though the door outside got destroyed, he can re-anchor his door back in the real world through the available anchors!
As for where those anchors came from?
The ward corresponded to the ward cards created through the Observatory, and the soul option corresponded to none other than the Soul Hall’s contracted Chae Yoona.
In other words, unless all his wards and servants in the outside world gets wiped out, there’s no worries about being trapped in this dimension forever!
“Uwah… this game is really encouraging me to become a peeping tom and enslave the world, huh?”
Yu Zhiye chuckled and selected the [Soul I] option…
The text on the interface rippled like ink falling into water and soon got replaced by the broadcast of a scene inside a restroom.
A pair of delicate hands was typing the words ‘bikini (white)’ into the IS Grand Exchange search engine interface…
Yu Zhiye didn’t let the search results distract him though.
Instead, he focused on finding a suitable surface then casually tapped on the wall in the background.
In the blink of an eye, a flaming-purple door frame highlighted the wall, centered at where he tapped, and a prompt popped up:
[Confirm Anchor?]
[Yes] [No]
“Yes.” Once his confirmation went through, a unit of core energy got deducted from his core and a familiar mysterious antique door took shape on the wall in the scene.
The portal lighted up with magical-purple once more and the interface returned to text mode.
[Mysterious Portal (Active)]
A secure magical gateway to other dimensions.
[Unanchor]
Yu Zhiye saw no need in wasting more points on testing the anchoring and unanchoring functions.
His consciousness dived back into his body.
“Whew~ That’s one problem solved. Now for the other…”
His gaze fell upon the strange new fish sitting in his inventory hotbar.
[Creeper Fish (Golden)]
Entity: Takumi Ryu#43
“No matter how I look at it… that’s creepy.” The implications even more so.
Yu Zhiye really didn’t expect that both scouts turned out to have problems! Imagine if both exploded in his face!
Lucky that merman somehow got downsized by the magical plot-armor-tier power of his fishing rod.
Still, Yu Zhiye didn’t even dare to take this creepy fish out from his inventory now.
What if it explodes in his face? Or reverts to its original human form?
“Damn. How troublesome. What to do with this time bomb?”
Keeping it in the chest? Not that great of an idea. What if a curious slave released this tiger back to the mountain?
He really doesn’t want to take any chances, especially since this “fish” is obviously inedible due to its origin.
After thinking it over, Yu Zhiye only came up with one safe solution…
A minute later, he tossed the monster fish into the incinerator. “Good bye.”
Bomb into incinerator. Who came up with that ingenious idea?!
Good thing the creeper wasn’t a happy-trigger bomb in the conventional sense and the incinerator similarly wasn’t a simple hot furnace.
Mysterious powers makes everything work out!
The furnace door even welded itself shut on its own and mysterious runes pulsed across its surface!
Apparently, once the quality of the thrown-in treasure is high enough, the furnace will do its thing. How neat!
Even so, this Level 1 furnace seemed to have trouble digesting this Golden-grade item.
In any case, no matter what horrors this fish might hold, it’ll soon be nothing more than ashes.
As for what the output will be? Only time will tell.
Yu Zhiye certainly looked forward to it, but he wasn’t going to idle around here. Who knows how long it’ll take.
Best to use his time wisely. Back to fishing!
Without further ado, he headed for the exit.
After a little jog, he stepped back into the outside world and got a very strange look from the actress hanging out on the wall-mounted baby changing table.
“Oppa, how did you show up here all of a sudden?”
Yu Zhiye casually brushed her off with an excuse. “Just testing something out.”
Then he looked around the lady’s restroom that looked a bit different from the men’s and casually changed the subject. “So this is where that little lucky angel sleeps?”
“My, my… that little girl really holds a lot of importance in oppa’s heart. You even came to scout out her sleeping grounds...”
Chae Yoona got off her seat and sashayed over to his side. “How? Need me to take you on a tour?”
“No.” Yu Zhiye felt there was some misunderstanding here and tried correcting it, “Just wondering where she hides her chest.” At least, he saw none in plain sight.
“Sah… who knows.” Chae Yoona knew men were insatiable creatures and didn’t believe for a second this horny guy didn’t have ulterior motives.
But she didn’t point out the obvious. Instead, she took the initiative to indulge his sinful desires.
“Oppa, how about we pretend this is your highschool and let Yoona be your highschool toilet?”
Feeling a hand getting naughty, Yu Zhiye lightly slapped it away. “Not now. I’m busy.”
The sexy actress threw him a flirty look. “Really don’t want?”
“Get yourself a school uniform and then we’ll talk.”
After throwing down that line, Yu Zhiye resisted his sinful urges and hurried out.
Left behind, Chae Yoona’s fake smile faded and she cursed inside. Men. Always tired of the old.
But since she can’t break free, there was only one way and that was to please the emperor.
And perhaps if she’s lucky… she can go all the way down the “make myself pregnant with the crown prince” route.
But to achieve that, she should get her game on and spice things up.
Chae Yoona got back to searching the multiverse clothes store. “This shouldn’t be hard...”
New clothes. New persona. Switching faces was second nature for a top actress like her.
Unaware that somebody was about to switch personas on him, Yu Zhiye went back out to the desert and returned to check out his fishing site… or more accurately, what’s left of it.
There was now a small crater opened up at the spot and he couldn’t even see the shadow of his sandstone wall anymore.
Heaven knows where in the sand that sturdy wall got buried. All he could say was: rest in pieces.
“Damn. Good thing I reacted quick enough or the red flag Jack planted yesterday would’ve become a tombstone with R.I.P. Steve.”
That said… it’s good to be alive. And after a trial from heaven, it’s obviously time to see if there’s any benefits to reap...
After fishing around in an attempt to scavenge any loot, Yu Zhiye concluded even any dropped items must’ve been blown to smithereens as well.
“Man, the one time I didn’t want game logic to apply to reality...”
A sad turnout, but there’s not much regrets. After all, he didn’t plan to rely on scavenging to get rich.
His path was fishing! And even “art is an explosion” can’t stop this fisherman from fishing!
Now, there wasn’t even a need to find a new spot.
The explosion was strong, but that still didn’t destroy the quicksand pit that ran heavens know how many meters deep.
Back to fishing it is!
11 points away…
Upgrading to core level 5 can happen any time very soon! Just waiting for the east wind!
“Damn. How many times did I say this already? Enough to piss off any readers, right?”
Though Yu Zhiye didn’t like setting flags, but this time, he hoped everything will finally be smooth-sailing for once…
