Depraved Noble: Forced To Live The Debaucherous Life Of An Evil Noble!
Chapter 875: How Do Fairies And Humans Make Babies?
Anyone else would have taken Sisi’s offer and politely declined, perhaps with a humble smile and a modest dismissal.
It would have been the proper thing to do.
But Cassius was not anyone else.
"If you’re offering a name change, then I’ll gladly accept!"
Sisi blinked, clearly not expecting this response.
"You...will?"
"Absolutely!" Cassius struck a thoughtful pose, his hand on his chin as if contemplating the deepest philosophical questions.
"Let me think...what would be the perfect name for such a magnificent structure..."
His eyes gleamed with mischief.
"Oh! I’ve got it!" He pointed at Sisi. "From now on, this shall be known as the Eight-Inch Penis Tower!"
The room went completely silent.
The fairies stared.
The soldiers stared.
Even Ragnora, who had remained composed through dragon attacks and mine collapses, found herself blinking in confusion.
"After all." Cassius continued, his eyes growing increasingly bright with mischief. "This building has eight floors! Eight inches! It’s simple mathematics, really!"
He began gesturing enthusiastically. "And from now on, I want each floor referred to not as ’Floor One’ or ’Floor Two,’ but as the ’First Inch,’ the ’Second Inch,’ the ’Third Inch’—"
His voice rose with excitement.
"And instead of calling the top floor the ’Eighth Floor’ or the ’Top Floor,’ I want you to call it the—"
A hand clamped over his mouth.
Isabelle had materialized beside him, moving with the speed of a woman who had done this many times before. Her smile was fixed and brittle as she addressed the stunned crowd.
"H-He’s joking! He’s absolutely joking right now!" She laughed—a strained, desperate sound. "There’s no need to take anything he says seriously!"
Cassius mumbled something against her palm that sounded suspiciously like "I’m not joking at all." but Isabelle’s glare silenced him instantly. He wilted under her gaze like a scolded puppy.
She turned back to the group, still maintaining that frozen smile.
"There’s no need to take anything he says seriously. Really. The tower’s name will remain exactly as it is!"
"But Lady Isabel—" Sisi began.
"No, truly." Isabelle insisted firmly. "The tower can stay as it is. There’s no need for any changes."
A collective wave of relief swept through the fairies. Even Sisi, despite her earlier insistence, felt her wings relax.
The thought of telling another mage that she was currently working on the Second Inch, or that she’d be presenting her research at the Third Inch symposium—it was mortifying beyond words.
She wasn’t sure she could have survived the daily humiliation.
When Isabelle finally released Cassius, but not before whispering a series of warnings into his ear, the soldiers relaxed noticeably.
Somehow, seeing this impossibly powerful magical genius being so thoroughly managed by his wife made him feel much more approachable.
He wasn’t some untouchable sage; he was just a man who, like them, had to answer to his better half.
It made him human again.
—
The moment Cassius straightened his clothes, the fairies surrounded him once more, their earlier awe transforming into eager curiosity.
"Sir Cassius! The mana circuit you designed—how did you achieve such perfect harmonic resonance?"
"What runic components did you use for the dynamic alignment sequence?"
"Your inscription technique—was that based on the Mandalic Structures of High Enchantment, or something entirely new?"
"How did you compensate for the elemental interference in the resonance crystal?"
"The feedback regulation system—I’ve never seen anything like it! What inspired such an approach?"
"Please, Sir Cassius, we have so many questions!"
Cassius held up both hands. "Hold on. Hold on. Before any of you ask me anything—"
He pointed at Sisi.
"—I’d like to ask you something first!"
"Me?" Sisi tilted her head, genuinely confused. "But Sir Cassius, with the level of knowledge you possess, there’s nothing I could possibly answer that you don’t already know."
"If it’s something beyond your understanding, it’s certainly beyond mine as well."
She spoke with complete sincerity. The gap between their abilities was so vast that the idea of teaching him anything seemed absurd.
Cassius shook his head. "I’m not asking about magic. Or runes. Or anything academic." He paused, his expression growing thoughtful. "I want to ask about your race. About fairies."
The fairies exchanged curious glances, wondering where this was going.
Cassius studied Sisi’s tiny figure—her delicate wings, her miniature form, the way she hovered in the air like a particularly intelligent butterfly.
After a moment, he asked:
"Is it possible for a full-sized human and a fairy to get married? And...have children?"
Poof!
Sisi’s face turned a brilliant shade of crimson and her wings buzzed so rapidly they became a blur.
She looked like she’d just been asked to describe her most intimate secrets in front of the entire assembly.
"S-Sir Cassius!" She sputtered, her dignity crumbling. "I respect your work and your contributions to magical research, b-but this is highly inappropriate! I am married!"
She thrust out her tiny hand, displaying a ring so small it was barely visible.
"I must apologize, but I cannot accept your advances! I’m not interested in that sort of relationship, and my husband would be most displeased!"
Isabelle grabbed Cassius’s sleeve and pulled, her expression screaming stop your philandering right now, there are people watching.
"Sisi, I think you misunderstand—" Cassius began.
"Misunderstand?!" Sisi’s voice had risen an octave. "You ask me about human-fairy reproduction and expect me to think it’s an academic inquiry?!"
"It IS an academic inquiry!" Cassius insisted, throwing his hands up. "I’m genuinely asking! There’s someone in my life who was born from a fairy and a human, and I’ve always wondered how that’s even possible!"
Seeing the seriousness in his expression and the complete absence of his earlier mischief, Sisi’s indignation faded into embarrassment.
"Oh. I...I apologize. I completely misunderstood."
She cleared her throat, regaining her composure.
"In most cases, relationships between fairies and humans aren’t feasible. The size difference alone makes any...physical relationship...essentially impossible."
The other fairies blushed furiously. Even the soldiers shifted awkwardly.
"Creating children would be even more challenging." Sisi continued matter-of-factly. "Any passionate encounter would likely end with the fairy being crushed to death. It’s simply not feasible under normal circumstances."
The mental image was horrifying enough that everyone in the room collectively decided not to dwell on it.
"However." Sisi added, raising a tiny finger. "There are exceptions."
"If the fairy in question comes from the royal bloodline or possesses an extraordinarily high mana capacity, marking them as a first-class prodigy, they would have the ability to enlarge their body to human size. In such cases, marriage would be entirely possible."
Understanding dawned on Cassius’s face.
’So that’s how my bastard father managed to marry a fairy and have a child with her.’ He thought.
The mechanics had always baffled him—how could a normal-sized man and a palm-sized fairy possibly...well.
But now it made complete sense. His stepmother was not only one of the most powerful fairies in the world, she was the epitome of the royal bloodline.
Of course she could maintain a human-sized form.
But another question occurred to him.
"What about the child? I know someone born between a human and a fairy, but she’s never shown any fairy traits—no small size, no obvious wings. She’s been human-sized her entire life."
"Is that normal?"
He was thinking of Aqua, of course. She possessed fairy blood and extraordinary magical abilities, but he’d never seen her shrink to fairy size.
She did have wings she could manifest when she chose, but the tiny form had always eluded her or so she claimed.
"That’s actually quite common for hybrid children."
Sisi nodded thoughtfully.
"When a fairy and human reproduce, the child is typically born human-sized. They lose the ability to shrink unless they reach an extremely high level of magical power near or at their full potential. Only then might they regain the fairy’s natural small form."
’So Aqua could become small now that she’s reached Supreme Mage level?’
The idea was adorable—his sister, tiny enough to fit in his palm, with those delicate wings fluttering behind her.
He could carry her around in his pocket, show her off, maybe tease her mercilessly while she pouted up at him.
The thought brought a smile to his face.
Sisi, meanwhile, was studying him with renewed interest.
"I must admit, Sir Cassius, you’ve made me curious. Who exactly are you referring to? The only person I know who fits that description is Lady Aqua hersel—"
"Oh, yeah. I’m talking about her."
The room went still.
Sisi’s eyes trembled. "You know Lady Aqua?!"
"We’re quite close. Very close, actually. She’s a dear friend."
Cassius carefully omitted the fact that she was also his sister. That revelation would immediately expose his true identity.
But despite that, Sisi’s entire demeanor transformed.
"You should have mentioned this from the very beginning!" She exclaimed, her earlier wariness completely forgotten. "If I’d known you were friends with Lady Aqua, I never would have doubted you!"
The other fairies buzzed with renewed excitement.
"That explains so much!"
"Of course someone like Sir Cassius would be associated with Lady Aqua!"
"She’s a prodigy—it makes perfect sense that she’d surround herself with other exceptional individuals!"
"It also explains why we’ve never heard of you." Sisi added thoughtfully. "You operate in circles far above our own. The peak of the magical world, while we remain here in the lower realms."
Cassius scratched his head. "Is Aqua really that famous among your kind?"
"Of course she is!"
Sisi looked at him as if he’d asked whether the sky was blue.
"She’s the daughter of the Fairy Queen—our princess by blood. But more than that, she’s known as the Five Elemental Mage! Complete control over all five elements!"
"Even her own mother can’t fully claim that achievement. Everyone in the fairy and mage communities knows of Lady Aqua and her incredible talents."
Pride swelled in Cassius’s chest. That was his sister they were praising. His woman. His Aqua.
