Depraved Cultivation : Humanity’s Filth Reincarnated
Chapter 678 Yet Another One
“Master, ever since its grand opening, Eltysia’s Coffer has been making consistent amounts of revenue. You can see the month-to-month or week-to-week details right here… As you desired, the competition that was able to adapt thanks to your generosity has moved toward catering to niches that Eltysia Coffer couldn’t fill, or could only fill partially”
“Several tool refiners, alchemists, talisman makers, and array builders have contacted us in hopes of landing deals. Even blacksmiths and other regular craftsmen have been seeking us out. Just as you wanted, people do not seem afraid of the Elt name after seeing the good deals and products the shop had to offer”
“I did, however, take notice of some competitors hiring investigators to discover the source of the resources we sell. The ones I discovered were the cheapest, naturally. I presume that much better people are on the case and observing Eltysia’s Coffer by now”
Edrick leaned back in his seat.
“Don’t worry much about those people, Shu. All they can find out is that stocks come from my residence, but they won’t be able to get any closer to the truth than this… Let them grow tired. What about the farm?”
Shu nodded.
“As you asked, the benefits of Eltysia’s coffer are split between the establishment itself and the farm project of Lady Fanqia. The materials are being gathered, and Lord Haoyu has already sent several blueprints as early concepts for what the beginnings of the farm could look like”
“I have seen them… Haoyu must be working quite hard to produce so many, and they are all quite different as well. In the end though, Fanqia only desires a farm containing mundane animals. The eventual production of meat, milk, and other products will be targeted toward the common folks for the most part. It shall serve as ground zero for all future exploitations, breeding programs, and the like”
Edrick formed a slight smile. While this farm would serve as a good starting point, it was also perhaps the most important of productions for him at the moment. Feeding the people was not something small. If he could settle as a major producer for all kinds of food to keep the people fed and healthy, then his reputation with the crown and the population would shoot right up.
Indeed, while creating products for cultivators might be more impressive and incredibly lucrative, it wasn’t quite as important as maintaining the working force of Leynlornd. The cultivators of the great clans and sects may be the military ramparts, but even they wouldn’t be much without all of the regular people working to maintain infrastructure and the like.
Edrick didn’t want to completely crush the smaller farmers, though. As such, he planned on only focusing on domestic production in the realm of food. The other farmers and such would be able to adapt by focusing on exports.
To this end, Anoteros hoped to also develop a refined way to allow for swift exports…
It was a difficult balance to maintain. Anoteros needed to demonstrate great business acumen, but also make sure not to completely eradicate all competition… Without competition, the market would grow stale and smaller businesses would simply cease to exist, which wouldn’t be great for the overall health of the country’s economy, especially when the crown wanted every corner of the nation to be prosperous without any strings attached.
Which was why Anoteros was planning on making use of the territory he used to rule when he was still a mere wretch. The land was technically still his, and he could thus develop it as he saw fit.
He was going to turn those filthy people into something greater.
‘I do have a place already there as well. It is smaller, but it is perfectly fine as simply a secondary residence… I’ll just have to link it up to here with a Lodestone, and all will be well”
He had fond memories of the place he used to call home at first. It was where he had made Fanqia and Linmin his wives, and it was also where he had allowed himself to be debauched with very few limits.
‘Heh, to think that this body was supposed to be nothing but a minor antagonist…’
Anoteros looked at Shu.
“Contact Indoramus. We’ll set things up for the future of the farm, and he should be able to present me to some smaller craftsmen as well”
The scion was planning on accepting most of the deals offered to him with some minor negotiations. It would be foolish not to. What he sold at Eltysia’s Coffer was but a fraction of what could be harvested at any given time, and with the recent expansions of the realm, he had so much more to discover.
He soon would have even more products to sell, though those would be more specialised due to their concentrations of nature energy in particular…
‘I’m sure some of the beasts of Natucor would make for great mounts or bestial companions, as well… Heh, business will be booming beyond belief’
For now, he would be staying at his residence and planning things out for the future. He wouldn’t be concerning himself with any script unless they came knocking at his door.
‘Once my army is ready, I’ll be giving some people a visit, as well…’
Just as he was debating whether to bend Shu over the desk, a nameless maid suddenly came running into the office.
“Master, Lady Luxuli is going into labour!”
Edrick quickly made his way over to the Nursery Wing. The place was expectedly active. The Nursery Maids were moving around as if they were fighting a war. At the moment, following some rounds of recruitment, there were five nameless Nursery Maids. As such, taking care of Luxuli was not a problem.
“Breathe, My Lady. Make sure to breathe!”
Muxing was by the fourth wife’s side even though she herself was very obviously pregnant to an impressive degree.
“M-My Lord!”
Luxuli was overjoyed to see her husband, and the first thing she did was grab his hand, clenching it harder than she had ever clenched anything.
“My… My Valra had made it sound much simpler than it actually is! S-Shit… It must have been because she had been loose beyond belief!”
“Don’t worry, Luxuli. All will be fine”
Thanks to the various boosts acquired from quests or destroyed scripts, the birth-giving process was much smoother for Edrick’s women than most.
“I see the head!”
A maid called out.
“Is… Is it a Docilis Succubus?!”
Luxuli spoke in between ragged breaths.
The maids took a few moments to make sure of their answer.
“Yes, yes, it is!”
“Oh… Oh thank the gods… A little me!”
