Chapter 440 - Finish Your Curse If You Want To Curse Me

Chapter 440: Finish Your Curse If You Want To Curse Me

Sienna and Shirley stood on the side of the road, watching the fog rising in the forest.

“How come there’s fog?”

“Is this a spell?” Shirley asked. “I think Chen used this the first time we met. Then that pureblood werewolf appeared.”

“Like this time?”

“The fog is thicker this time,” Shirley said. “Much thicker than before.”

Sienna felt a bit cold. A chill rose up from her feet. The fog rose up without any warning in the forest, blocking her vision of Chen Zhao.

Just then, a phone rang.

“Hey, Fali. I’m busy. I’ll get home later. You eat dinner first.”

Evangeline felt that Chen Zhao didn’t think she was important at all.

“You think this mist can save you?” she yelled. All her arms waved wands at the same time. “Spirits of the wind, listen to my call…”

A large wind started up, blowing the mist apart. Evangeline’s vision cleared again. But when she saw close to 30 strange things of various sizes around Chen Zhao, she felt her knees go weak.

The creatures were all different types. Some were strong and some were weak. The one that caught her attention was the woman in white standing next to Chen Zhao. She looked like a ghost and radiated with a terrifying aura.

“What… What are these things?”

“Things to kill you!” Chen Zhao pointed at Evangeline. “Rip her apart!”

Evangeline pointed her dozen wands at Chen Zhao, casting countless spells at him.

“Ah!”

Right then, Jessica started moving. She let out a shrill cry. The shriek seemed to tear apart the air and spread forward. In an instant, those dozen spells were destroyed by the soundwaves.

As if suffering from a windstorm, Evangeline was covered in injuries.

This was such terrifying power. What exactly was that woman?

She definitely wasn’t a ghost. A ghost didn’t have this kind of power. Merely her scream could scatter a dozen spells at once.

Run! I can’t stay here…

I’ll really die!

Evangeline turned to flee, but then a huge creature stopped before her. This demon was called the Boar King! But despite the name, it was just a pig—an inferior demon.

Boar Kings were actually very weak, but its skin was thick and tough. It was big too. If it was given an iron-toothed rake, it would look like the pig, Zhu Bajie, in the Journey to the West.

Evangeline crashed against the Boar King’s stomach. The demon didn’t budge while Evangeline ricocheted back.

She wasn’t willing to give up. Evangeline cast another spell at the Boar King.

However, her spells practically had no effect against demons. After all, a human couldn’t compare to the endurance of demons. The spells of the human world were mostly the watered-down versions.

The Boar King crashed against Evangeline. She hurriedly grabbed its tusks, but the Boar King’s momentum was too big. She kept retreating, unable to stop.

The next moment, the Bloody Hunter’s claw grabbed onto Evangeline’s back. Her many arms were broken directly.

A two-headed snake wrapped around the lower half of her body. She fell to the ground and the Boar King slammed down on her, even crushing the two-headed snake.

“Ah!” Evangeline cried out in pain.

“Don’t kill her. We haven’t started yet.”

Ever since the Bloody Hunter was summoned by Chen Zhao three times and news spread through town that he could get a demonic crystal every time, all the demons in town anticipated for Chen Zhao to summon them.

The chance finally came, but he’d summoned a bit too many demons, while their opponent was actually this weak. Evangeline was on the ground before most of the demons could act.

How could this be? This was practically wasting their chance to have fun in the human world.

No, they definitely had to show off before the Living Lord. If they didn’t do anything and returned to Hell empty-handed, it would be embarrassing.

“Living Lord, check out my trick, the Death Penetration!”

“Ah…” Evangeline’s head was stabbed by a demon’s horn.

“Check out my Spiral of Despair…”

“Mine is Death Penalty…”

“My trick…”

Finally, Evangeline’s body was shattered and she was on her last breath.

“She’s close,” Jessica said, glancing at her.

Chen Zhao finally walked over to Evangeline. “How is it? Does it feel good to go through the whole thing?”

Evangeline looked up with half-closed eyes. Her limbs were practically all destroyed. Her body had a million holes. No matter how strong her vitality was, she wasn’t actually immortal.

She would die as well. These serious physical wounds were fatal to anyone, including her.

“Who are you?”

“I am the bringer of justice.”

Suddenly, Evangeline’s broken body shot up. “I curse you—”

But her head happened to get sucked into the Mouth of Gluttony. Her head was stuck in there while her body kept wriggling, seemingly struggling for the last time.

“Why don’t you finish your curse? This makes me uncomfortable.”

The Mouth of Gluttony opened to the max and swallowed Evangeline whole.

Chen Zhao sat on the ground, feeling very, very full.

“You guys, line up. Each one gets a demonic crystal.”

The moment Evangeline was destroyed, Chen Zhao realized that the metal box in his spatial ring had a new crystal.

It wasn’t a demonic crystal but an angelic crystal. A perfect angelic crystal! It wasn’t only one either. Instead, it was four or five perfect angelic crystals stuck together.

After he rewarded the demons, he sent them back to Hell. Only Jessica remained. Chen Zhao made her stay specifically.

“Jessica, how is the fight between Lord Zofee and his neighbor?”

“The lord has the upper hand, but they are very strong as well. It’s hard to determine the victor yet.”

“I have a fatal weapon, but I’m afraid you won’t be able to take it to Hell.”

“What weapon?”

“Perfect angelic crystal.”

Jessica gasped. “You have perfect angelic crystals?”

“Yes.”

“I cannot take it. That thing will cause enormous damage to me.”

“Then I’ll bring it the next time I go to Hell, but don’t summon me too suddenly. Have Obitos tell me beforehand.”
