Chapter 347: Chaos

Adrian woke up in his castle with Annie sitting by his bed and Meggie sitting near the door.

" How are you?" He asked Annie with a soft exhausted voice as soon as he opened his eyes.

She nodded with a smile and wiped the tears off her face, " Yeah, I’m great." She hugged him tightly and refused to let go.

Adrian didn’t push her away, he looked past her at Meggie, she opened her mouth then closed it.

" I’m glad you’re okay." She whispered, " I’ll leave now." She stood up and stared intently at him.

Adrian said nothing, Meggie left the castle and went back to her hut leaving the couple on their own.

" What happened?" Adrian asked, he had no recollection of what happened after he fell into the sea.

" I feel stronger? Did I break through again?" He flexed his muscles but his physical strength felt the same.

His esper was just as pure and had not increased either, however there was something else that changed.

He couldn’t place his finger on it and decided to ignore it for now, he turned his eyes to Annie.

" I am glad to have you as mine." He whispered in her ear.

Annie blushed, " I am glad to be yours." She leaned in for a kiss, they snuggled up in bed for the rest of the day.

The following day, Athi rushed in to report. " Boss, boss lady, I have something urgent to report.

We’ve received information of multiple demonic possessions, the church is struggling to deal with it all."

" Demonic possessions you say?" Asked Adrian, Athi nodded.

’ Mmmm, why didn’t that demon come to report, does it not fear my venom any longer?’ wondered Adrian.

As if she’d read his thoughts, Annie drew a summoning circle on the floor and used his blood to summon the demon.

The circle flickered with red light, black mist coalesced on its center before dispersing, Adrian leaned closer.

" I can’t reach it." Said Annie with a bit of confusion.

Adrian’s left eye turned into a black spiral, the summoning circle turned into a window and he saw what lay on the other side.

The demon who served him was naiked on a massive tower of bones, her blood drained to a bowl below.

Around it, there were countless demons cheering and some rushing to drink the blood.

Before them all was a huge demon sitting on a throne of bones, Adrian ignored the demon being tortured.

He never cared for it, if it could no longer serve its purpose of feeding him information then it was useless.

’ This is strange though, I remember it telling me it served the Nameless demon now and the Nameless demon is the strongest in hell, was that a lie?

If so, then is every piece of information it gave me also false? Or something else is going on?’

Adrian couldn’t figure that out, Annie saw hin silently watching the magic circle as if watching a film.

" Have you figured something out? Can you do something?" She asked.

" I wonder." Adrian responded in a low voice, his thoughts wondered to a different possibility.

’ If I can see through the magic circle, can I use it to go to hell? Wouldn’t I be able to save my sister then?’

Adrian shot right up and jumped towards the magic circle but he just landed on the hard floor.

’ It seems I can’t.’ he stepped out of the magic circle then stopped, he could feel something inside him whispering to him.

Something familiar yet different, he reached out with his claw and a dark purple almost black light surrounded his sharp wolf claw.

He tapped the magic circle with his finger, the black claw cut space between realms itself.

Annie cancelled the spell and closed the cut soon after but in that split moment, the demon leader on the throne looked up.

His burning red eyed met Adrian’s and he grinned. The demon was not the only one, outside of hell.

Adrian’s father also saw the rift and saw Adrian’s face even though Adrian did not see him back.

He sighed, ’ That boy, he’s getting impatient, he’s not strong enough yet.’ Unfortunately he couldn’t do anything.

A few demons have already managed to sneak past him, fortunately they were all too weak.

If one of the dukes escaped, they could cause much destruction in the mortal realm, let one one of the four archdukes.

Back in the castle, Adrian looked at his claw, the dark aura surrounding it disappeared, his claw turned back into a human nail.

" What was that?" Asked Annie.

" The true form of our venom, chaos, it seems I’ve gained control over it." Answered Adrian.

" No wonder it felt familiar but what did you do back there?" She asked.

" It’s hard to explain, I believe I changed probability, in that split moment the magic circle ran through countless changes until I met the one I desired.

Like I said, it’s hard to explain" Answered Adrian.

" So you can change the probability of anything to whatever you desire now?" Annie was genuinely surprised and happy to hear that.

Adrian shook his head, " Not quite, the results must be probable and the less they are, the harder it is to achieve those results.

The summoning magic circle is in its true form a gate between realms, normally only a one way door where only those with permission can pass.

However there’s always the possibility of it malfunctioning and breaking the wall between the realms.

In this case, because you’re not an actual occult mage, there was already an 8 percent chance of that happening.

Which is why I was able to calculate the results in less than a second and it didn’t really take that much chaos to achieve."

Although Adrian said that, he had lost 60 percent of his chaos when he did that.

" Such a powerful ability would surely draw much ire should others find out, especially your enemies." Said Annie.

Adrian nodded, " Don’t worry, I don’t think it’s the only ability of chaos, you’re quite familiar with one of them actually."

" You mean the corruption effect of our venom, yeah, it’s quite powerful, has yours grown even stronger?" She asked a bit surprised.

Adrian nodded, " It’s a bit different." His entire hand turned dark purple, a bone chilling eery purple glow covered it like a glove.

Adrian touched the bed and in front of Annie’s eyes, the part he touched phased out of existence.

" This renders immortality irrelevant." Said Annie.
