Chu Xiu’s face turned extremely pale. He stared blankly at the Giant Sword in his hand, feeling an extremely strange sensation within, as if the world around him had changed, though he couldn’t pinpoint where.

He vaguely sensed that this was crucial, an anomaly only perceptible after acquiring the Tribulation Body, yet even when he pushed his Divine Sense to its limits, he was unable to discern any clues, only a faint feeling lingering in his heart.

"Brother Chen, Brother Chen!"

Zhu Jiu’s voice sounded in his ear: "There’s no time to daze!"

Startled, Chu Xiu looked up to find the countdown had already hit five!

His eyes flashed with a resolute determination. Instead of continuing his attack, he leaped backward.

"Oh? Have you given up?" the Tribulation Thunder Incarnation mocked.

Chu Xiu snorted coldly, "You and I originate from the same source; you should know these mind-disturbing tricks are useless against me."

"I only know that if you truly had a fatal Ability, you would have used it long before, not waited until now!"

The Tribulation Thunder Incarnation snorted coldly too, "That’s not necessarily so."

Chu Xiu ignored him and instead began to carefully study the nearly invisible transparent threads that entangled him.

These threads wouldn’t appear without reason; they must be related to the very core of the Law of Destiny!

Chu Xiu expanded his Divine Sense, focusing all his mental faculties on scanning, yet he couldn’t detect anything about what these threads were made of!

He then condensed his Mana, transforming it into a magical flame. Under the intense energy fluctuations, the threads seemed to be affected, slightly waving, but no matter how much Chu Xiu amplified his Mana output, the threads merely swayed and never broke.

It’s akin to stirring the water’s surface, where the reflections beneath would ripple fiercely, yet it’s merely a play of light; the substance within remains unaffected.

He even attempted to unleash Tribulation Poison, which could suppress Rule powers, yet it couldn’t destroy those threads!

Chu Xiu took a deep breath, looking at the steadily decreasing countdown, his eyes no longer hesitant.

In the next moment, all his Divine Sense charged towards one of the threads, using his method of rule analysis from past Tribulations to begin analyzing this thread!

This time, it had an effect. His Divine Sense successfully caught something.

However, before Chu Xiu could express any joy, an unimaginably large stream of information slammed brutally into his mind, as if someone had directly inserted a red-hot iron brand into his brain!

Chu Xiu screamed tragically, as blood flowed from all seven orifices!

The Tribulation Thunder Incarnation laughed, "I was just waiting for when you’d pull this foolish stunt! Do you think just because you’ve analyzed some ownerless Law, you are qualified to face the mysteries of destiny directly?"

Chu Xiu couldn’t spare any attention for the Tribulation Thunder Incarnation’s taunts. His brain was in such agony, he could barely stand!

"Brother Chen!"

"Senior Chen!"

A group of Civilization Envoys gathered around him, faces full of concern. Chu Xiu raised a hand to stop those wanting to support him, "I’m fine."

Although he said so, his face was covered in blood, looking extremely horrifying.

Mao Qi gritted her teeth, "Senior Chen, there’s still five seconds left in the countdown; you should quickly escape now!"

"With your Speed, you can run ten thousand meters away!"

"How could it be so simple? This is the Law of Destiny! That being could let us attack without causing the slightest harm, so isn’t it easy to drag you back from ten thousand meters away?" Zhu Jiu said.

"Do you have a better method then?" Mao Qi glared at him, "Any Rule would have a distance limit; it might not succeed, but it’s better than sitting here waiting for death!"

Zhu Jiu fell silent. His mind was still a mess. As a Civilization Envoy of a Tenth-level Civilization, he knew that the Law of Destiny, as one of the supreme rules, must possess unimaginable power, but its strangeness far exceeded his expectations!

Why should a scene appear and inevitably come true for no apparent reason? What’s the principle? If the Law of Destiny can cause any desired future to happen without reason, doesn’t it violate conservation of energy and other cosmic axioms? Is there any way to counter it?

Mao Qi also looked worriedly at that image. If the scene were indeed to manifest no matter what, she couldn’t think of any way to turn the tide.

After all, the image showed Chu Xiu not suffering physical injuries, but having his Golden Core shattered directly!

Mao Qi didn’t know what the Golden Core represented but knew enough that it was Chu Xiu’s Energy Core.

For a High Tier Awakened, physical injuries might sometimes be trivial, like Chu Xiu’s Void God Mode, which cleanly transforms all physical bodies into Life Energy.

But the Energy Core is different; even if the Void God Mode is activated, the Golden Core still exists in the center of Chu Xiu’s Soul Body, and could never be shattered along with it!

If the Golden Core were shattered... it would surely require high-sequence Authority to restore it according to the Law of Life!

Evidently, the Tribulation Thunder Incarnation knew Chu Xiu’s weakness and thus set the image to show not him pierced by thousands of arrows—a seemingly dreadful yet salvageable method of ending—but instead choosing to shatter Chu Xiu’s Golden Core directly!

"If I were you, I would immediately activate the [Free Deep Dive Scroll] to escape. Once the countdown reaches zero, the destined fate will descend, and even if you survive by using the [Free Deep Dive Scroll], your future will be already cut off." The Tribulation Thunder Incarnation’s voice sounded.
