Demon Cultivator in Abyssal Era
Chapter 849 - 380: Divine Level Star Jumping Ship (2)
"And... we must guard against more than just Xie Xuanzhao!"
From the way others treated Xie Xuanzhao, he vaguely sensed that each of them surely possessed Divine Techniques and most likely concealed their true strength! It was even possible that none of them were telling the truth!
In a tenth-level civilization, Xie Xuanzhao cannot be the only one; a ninth-level civilization must only be the average or baseline standard!
This was a mystical intuition derived from [Spiritual Sense], which he couldn’t be certain of, but logically, it seemed very likely.
It was precisely for this reason that, although Chu Xiu claimed to only be from a sixth-level civilization and had the slowest flying speed, no one dared to underestimate him, because no one knew whether he was hiding his true strength.
"I feel like I’ve experienced the sensation of being a Celestial King ahead of time..." Chu Xiu suddenly had this slightly amusing thought.
The Celestial Kings must also be suspicious of one another like this; in such circumstances, whether cooperating or opposing, they would bear incalculable risks. This is what kept the Eight Celestial Kings in peace until now and granted human civilization the longest peace since the Abyss invasion.
"In any case, the strength of the seven Civilization Envoys is very difficult to determine; for now, it’s best not to engage them directly." Chu Xiu silently made this judgment in his heart.
Soon, the eight of them arrived at the location of the strange aura they had sensed earlier.
There stood a steep cliff, several hundred meters high, its depth impossible to see, appearing like a gigantic step that sharply divided the area from where they came and the opposite side, with a difference of hundreds of meters in height.
In the middle of the cliff, there rested a large, unimaginable black disk, shimmering like a black sea under the sunlight. If not for the slightly curved edges, Chu Xiu would not have dared to assert that it was a circular object.
"If one were to estimate the radius based on the curvature, the disk could likely have a radius exceeding two thousand kilometers." Chu Xiu thought in amazement.
What shocked him the most was that he had actually seen a similar object before!
It was almost identical to the Extraterrestrial Battleship that had once appeared above Peng City, only tens of thousands of times larger!
"There’s actually a Divine Level Star Jumping Ship!" At this moment, a similarly astonished voice rang in Chu Xiu’s ear, belonging to the being from the civilization of the Hidden Assassins, You Sha.
"Although it’s a Divine Level creation, it seems to have been abandoned for who knows how long; even the direction membrane is nearly corroded, so there shouldn’t be any threats inside," Mu Tuo commented.
"Assuming that the Star Jumping Ship hasn’t been seized by a void creature," Zhu Jiu replied.
"Or perhaps, more disastrously, it got lost in the Abyss," said the Civilization Envoy from the Thousand Illusions Starfield, whose appearance was constantly changing.
This person was named "Mao Qi." Chu Xiu strongly suspected that he randomly made up the name after hearing Zhu Jiu’s. His voice had a somewhat androgynous quality, making it unclear whether he was male or female.
"So, is this the Land of Divine Fall mentioned in the mission?" Mu Tuo inquired.
Zhu Jiu said, "It should be correct; only a God would be qualified to command a [Divine Level] Star Jumping Ship, but to find further clues, we probably need to pinpoint a more precise location."
With that, he leaped into the sky, soaring tens of thousands of meters high. With a gentle wave, he dispelled the clouds in front of him.
Instantly, the immense Star Jumping Ship was clearly revealed before everyone.
This technique, though not overwhelmingly powerful, demonstrated a certain weightlessness and extraordinary nature. Chu Xiu felt a chill in his heart, knowing he couldn’t perform such a swift action; some commotion would be inevitable on his part.
Of course, this didn’t necessarily mean Chu Xiu was weaker than this person; he was simply not adept at precise mana control.
"Ladies and gentlemen, look there." At this moment, Xie Xuanzhao’s voice emerged.
Everyone followed the direction he pointed, discovering a gigantic breach in the ship’s central area.
Though, compared to the enormous Star Jumping Ship, the hole was merely a tiny black dot, from up close, it likely had a diameter of at least a hundred meters or more.
"A single strike pierced through, with smooth edges, aiming at the core of the Star Jumping Ship; it seems to be the handiwork of a being at the Divine Level, perhaps that is the Land of Divine Fall," Zhu Jiu pondered while stroking his chin.
"Not only that, look here again," Xie Xuanzhao continued.
He pointed out several more spots, each with similar breaches, though smaller than the one that pierced the core.
In an instant, everyone’s expressions toward Xie Xuanzhao grew more solemn; finding these holes in such a short time on a colossal object with a radius exceeding two thousand kilometers was a terrifying Perception Ability indeed.
Even Chu Xiu felt secretly alarmed; his Divine Sense was extremely precise in small areas, but it fell short when scouting such massive structures.
Yet the terrifying part was that even those skilled in reconnaissance among the Demigods, Chu Xiu had never heard of anyone possessing Xie Xuanzhao’s formidable ability.
"Is this what a Civilization Envoy from a tenth-level civilization is like..."
The enhancement of civilization becomes increasingly evident with the rise in tiers. At the Mortal Tier, the advantages of a high-level civilization might not be as pronounced, since it’s not as if Mortal Tier Awakened ones would cultivate any Advanced Divine Techniques?
But upon reaching Demigod level... the Law Fragments over which the Celestial Kings scramble and fight, in the tenth-level civilization, might simply be common materials for training Civilization Envoys.
Chu Xiu’s Basic Attributes were indeed unimaginably high to others, but the abilities Xie Xuanzhao casually displayed also made him realize that the intrinsic strength of advanced civilizations was beyond the scope of what he could currently imagine.
