The world before her eyes slowly unfurled like a painted scroll.

An endless range of mountains stretched on, the green forest spreading as far as the eye could see, seemingly without limit.

This was a breathtaking view one could never see in the 21st century.

The sky was a clear, azure blue, but beneath this dome was nothing but vibrant greenery.

A single glance was enough to refresh the mind and lift the spirit.

"How many Beastmen are in this world? How many tribes?"

"I’m not sure. I’ve never left these Ten Thousand Mountains. The tribes I know of total two hundred and thirty-seven. Among them are three Super Tribes, twelve large tribes, and more than thirty medium-sized tribes. The rest are scattered small tribes, spread all over the mountains."

"That’s so many! I wonder if I’ll ever have the chance to visit them all," Bai Wan couldn’t help but sigh with emotion.

"Why would you want to visit them all? Many of the small tribes are pretty much the same, just with different Beastman races."

’Could Zhu Xiu have gone through that too?’

Zhu Xiu glanced at her. "I’ve had no other female, only you. I was abandoned by my Mother and Father Beast."

’Huh... was he really that pitiful?’

Bai Wanwan couldn’t help but feel a surge of affection and pity. She squeezed his hand tightly. "It’s okay now. You have me, don’t you? I will never abandon you."

Recalling the past, the violent energy surging within Zhu Xiu was easily soothed by her words.

He looked at her face, his red-glowing eyes filled with immense seriousness. "Bai Wanwan, you have to mean what you said. I’m taking you at your word."

"I mean it, I mean it! Everything I say counts. Even if there’s a misunderstanding, I’ll give you all a chance to explain. I will absolutely not abandon you easily."

In her heart, she actually felt that the males of the Beast World Continent were quite pitiful. If they did anything to displease a female, they’d be abandoned and forced to become Wandering Beasts.

Steeling herself, she said, "I’m not scared. Go on."

"My Mother gave birth to three cubs in that litter. The other two... I devoured them."

’She figured Zhu Xiu probably hadn’t done it on purpose. He was just a cub back then and likely didn’t know any better.’

He didn’t hide a single thing. He hoped his female wouldn’t be disgusted by him or reject him, but this was his past, and he didn’t want to lie.

Bai Wanwan blinked. "What about now? Would you devour them?"

Zhu Xiu saw no fear on her face. He averted his gaze, looking toward the forest ahead. "I don’t know."

Bai Wanwan reached out and cupped his face. "What about me? Would you devour me?"

Zhu Xiu’s lips tightened. Their eyes met, and neither of them looked away.

"No."

He was very clear on this point. He couldn’t bear to let any Beastman harm her, and he himself would certainly never devour her.

Bai Wanwan was actually still a little scared, but Zhu Xiu’s firm and decisive answer put her slightly at ease.

"I believe you." ’You’d better keep your word!’

"Were you abandoned by your Mother and Father Beast when you were still a cub?"

The Beastmen of the Black Dog Tribe saw Zhu Xiu’s enormous beast form and scrambled to get out of the way in fear.

The females also noticed Zhu Xiu and the female on his back.

"Zhuo Ling, see? Wasn’t I right? Isn’t that female prettier than you?"

Zhuo Ling retracted her envious gaze and looked at the female she didn’t get along with. "She may be prettier than me, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m prettier than you."
