"Really? There are perks like this?"

Bai Wanwan was so happy she quickened her pace, charging toward the center under the gazes of all the other females.

Reaching the riverbank, she looked down at her reflection in the water.

Her complexion was rosy, her skin fair, her features delicate and beautiful. Even every strand of her hair was jet-black and smooth.

Bai Wanwan was very satisfied with this face; it even bore a strong resemblance to her old one.

The females soaking in the water and those standing on the bank all watched Bai Wanwan admiring her reflection. Finally, someone snapped back to reality.

"Who are you? What are you doing near our Black Dog Tribe?"

Bai Wanwan looked up at the female who had spoken. She had a pair of slender eyes—not conventionally pretty, but very distinctive, with a unique look.

"My name is Bai Wanwan. I just arrived at the Black Dog Tribe. Hello, everyone! Since the weather is getting warmer, I’ll come find you all for a stroll and a chat sometime."

She scanned the nearby waters. Females were everywhere.

’I’m not used to bathing with so many people.’

’Besides, they’ve been cooped up all winter. At least I wiped myself down regularly.’

After a look around, she decided to head upstream to wash.

She paid no mind to the others staring at her. Right now, she wasn’t in the mood to chat with them; all she wanted was to bathe.

Everything else could wait until she was squeaky clean and feeling comfortable.

Bai Wanwan had come and gone in a flash. It wasn’t until she was far away that the other females finally reacted.

She only stopped when her skin felt slippery smooth to the touch.

Just as she was about to take out a bath towel to wrap herself and get out, she suddenly sensed danger.

She whipped her head around and saw a wolf standing on the bank, eyeing her covetously.

She jumped in fright and quickly looked around for any sign of Zhu Xiu.

’Is that male really so unconcerned? Or maybe there are females nearby, so it’s not proper for him to get close.’

’If that’s the case, I’m screwed...’

Zhu Xiu had indeed kept his distance because there were many females here, but he had used his Talent Power to drive away nearby beasts, warning them not to approach.

Yan Lie pursed his lips. "The prey I sent you, did you like it?"

Not knowing her tastes, he could only choose prey that females generally liked and send it to her.

Hearing this, it dawned on Bai Wanwan. "So all that prey left at my door before... that was from you?"

Yan Lie nodded, blushing. "Yes. I didn’t know what you like to eat, so I sent different kinds. You can tell me which beast you like best, and I’ll hunt it specifically for you in the future."

"Wait a minute..." Bai Wanwan was completely bewildered. "Why are you giving me prey?"

She didn’t even know him. During the snow season, many families couldn’t even feed themselves.
