Before Zhuo Ling could get a clear look, Zhu Xiu had already passed by and vanished.

"Lu Da, who was that just now?"

His Wife’s reaction displeased him, but he couldn’t show it.

"I haven’t seen him before."

Tu Shan, another of Zhuo Ling’s Beast Husbands, stood beside her. He was a native male of the Black Dog Tribe and also a Green Rank powerhouse.

"I heard a few days ago that two powerful Foreign Beastmen came to the tribe. He must be one of them."

Zhuo Ling’s eyes flickered. "Two of them? What are they doing here?"

Tu Shan answered honestly, "I was in a hurry to get to the mountains, so I didn’t ask."

Zhuo Ling grabbed his hand. "Then go and ask for me. I want to know who he is and what they’re doing in the tribe."

Unlike Lu Da, Tu Shan was well aware that many males adored Zhuo Ling. He was perfectly content just to stay by her side and be the male she trusted and relied on most.

He completely ignored the warning look Lu Da shot him and immediately turned to go find out more.

"I know I won’t be your only one, but you already have four! And then there’s the Young Clan Leader of the Golden Lion Clan, who’s supposed to be your Beast Husband in the future. Now you’re targeting these two foreign males. What’s next? Zhuo Ling, what did you promise me back then? It was because of your words that I abandoned my tribe to come to the Black Dog Tribe with you."

Feeling a pang of guilt, Zhuo Ling quickly put on a smile. "I know you gave up so much for me. That’s why no matter how many Beast Husbands I have, you’ll always be the most special one to me. I like you the most."

Although he knew how skilled she was at deceiving beastmen with her words, Lu Da still took them to heart, and his expression softened.

"Remember what you said. In the future, even if Jin Yi becomes your Beast Husband, I must come before him."

Zhuo Ling leaned into his embrace. "I think you’re just overthinking things. He doesn’t want to become my Beast Husband at all."

Lu Da snorted again. "He’s the Young Clan Leader. Of course he wouldn’t be like us."

After Bai Wanwan had paced countless circles back and forth inside the stone house, Zhu Xiu finally returned.

He strode in, prey slung over his shoulder, and saw Bai Wanwan standing by the door. "Why are you standing here?"

Bai Wanwan rushed forward and took his arm. "I was waiting here just for you! You took forever to get back. I’ve been waiting all day."

"What were you waiting for me for? Don’t get too close. I need to put this prey down so you don’t get blood on you."

Bai Wanwan caught the pungent smell of blood and obediently let go.

Zhu Xiu put the prey away and came back to her side. "Alright, out with it..."

Bai Wanwan grinned sheepishly. "Zhu Xiu, the weather outside is so warm, and I saw other females walking around. Please take me out for a walk?"

"How can you compare yourself to them? You just gave birth."

Xin Feng came out holding a cub, saying helplessly, "She’s been nagging me about this all day, too. How about I take her out for a quick walk when the weather is nice?"

Zhu Xiu grunted. "Then let her rest for two more days."

In the afternoon, Zhu Xiu said to Xin Feng, "The weather’s nice. You should take the cubs out to get some sun. I’ll stay here and watch Wanwan."

Bai Wanwan wasn’t having it. "The cubs get to go out and play, so why can’t I?"

Xin Feng came over to placate her. "Just two more days. After that, we’ll take you out every single day."

She had tried everything on them these past few days, from wheedling to whining, but because she had just given birth, the two males had steeled their hearts and refused her every time.

She shot Xin Feng a pointed glare. "If you don’t let me out in two days, I’m never going out again. Ever."

With that, Bai Wanwan stormed into the inner room, threw back the feather quilt, and flopped onto the bed.

Xin Feng was about to put the cub down and go in to coax her, but Zhu Xiu raised a hand to stop him.

"You take the cubs out into the sun. I’ll talk to her."

The little cubs had started to fuss, squirming restlessly in Xin Feng’s arms.

Xin Feng sighed. Standing at the entrance to the inner cave, he called out to Bai Wanwan, "Wanwan, don’t be angry. I’ll make you some steamed egg with shrimp when I get back tonight."

’He thinks some steamed egg with shrimp will be enough to calm me down? Fat chance! I’ve been eating all sorts of delicacies made by my two males lately; I’m not going to be won over by a simple dish of steamed egg with shrimp.’

Just then, Zhu Xiu sat on the edge of the bed and whispered, "Tell him you’re not angry anymore. I’ll take you out in a little while."

Bai Wanwan’s gloomy expression vanished instantly. Her eyes lit up as she looked at him, and she whispered back, "You’re not lying, are you?"

’She’s just like a cub,’ Zhu Xiu thought with an exasperated laugh. ’Why is she so desperate to go outside?’

"I’m not."

"Okay, I’ll trust you this once."

After saying that, Bai Wanwan cleared her throat and called out to Xin Feng, who was still trying to think of ways to coax her from outside, "I’m not mad at you anymore. Go on and take the cubs out. I’m just going to take a nap."

"You’re really not angry?"

"Nope, not angry. Your punishment is to make me a pot of fish soup and some steamed egg with shrimp when you get back."

Xin Feng hadn’t heard the hushed exchange between her and Zhu Xiu, and his attention was already being pulled away by the cubs.

Assuming Zhu Xiu had managed to talk her down, he agreed and finally left with the cubs, relieved.

The moment Bai Wanwan heard Xin Feng’s footsteps fade, she threw off the quilt, sat up, and looked at Zhu Xiu. "He’s gone. Let’s go."

"Where do you want to go?"

"I want to wander around outside, then maybe go into the mountains. And it would be even better if I could find a place to take a bath."

She had only been able to take sponge baths for the entire snow season, and she always felt uncomfortably grimy, as if she could never get completely clean.

After she finished, Zhu Xiu bent down, scooped her into his arms, and strode toward the entrance.

Bai Wanwan didn’t struggle. She was more than happy to have someone carry her and enjoy the free ride.

The moment they stepped out of the stone house, they were met with numerous stares.

Bai Wanwan noticed, of course. Leaning against his chest, she teased him, "See? With you carrying me like this, everyone is staring at you!"

"I’m carrying my own female. There’s nothing to hide. Let them look all they want."

His answer pleased Bai Wanwan greatly. A radiant smile graced her lips, and as she turned her head, her gaze locked with Zhuo Ling’s.
