"Zhu Xiu, don’t!"

Zhu Xiu’s long tail froze just half a meter away from the Leopard Beastman.

He turned his head to Bai Wanwan. "If we leave him alive and the Wandering Beastmen find him, he might reveal our whereabouts."

Bai Wanwan looked at the barely breathing Leopard Beastman and shook her head. "Let it go. He’s only got one breath left in him. It’s not necessary."

If it weren’t for her own lost tiger cub, Bai Wanwan might have had the heart to stand by and watch Zhu Xiu kill him.

But now, she just couldn’t bring herself to be so ruthless.

Zhu Xiu glanced down at the Leopard Beastman, who could barely keep his eyes open, and moved his long tail away.

"Then let’s keep moving."

With that, his long tail shot up, plucked Bai Wanwan right off Xin Feng’s back, and placed her onto his own beastly form.

Xin Feng glanced back to see Zhu Xiu already slithering away with Bai Wanwan coiled in his tail.

Xin Feng set the basket from his back onto the ground. The cubs inside grew excited at the sight of him, yelping nonstop.

Xin Feng lowered his head, nuzzling the cubs in the basket.

Though these cubs weren’t his own blood, he had watched them being born and had seen them grow up.

The little ones all saw him as their Beast Father, whining affectionately at him with a constant WOO WOO.

The Leopard Beastman made a sound, catching Xin Feng’s attention.

"Save... save me."

Xin Feng looked at him. "Your injuries are too severe. I can’t save you."

"Save... save..."

In the end, before leaving, Xin Feng still infused a portion of his Talent Power into the man’s body.

"This is all I can do for you. If you’re still alive when you meet any Wandering Beasts, I hope you won’t tell them you saw us."

The Leopard Beastman struggled to nod. "Fine. I promise."

"Xin Feng hasn’t caught up yet. I was just checking what he was doing."

Zhu Xiu listened in complete silence. Through her words, he was finally learning about the little female’s past.

At some point, Xin Feng had caught up. Zhu Xiu glanced at him. "You helped him?"

The sky was slowly darkening. Xin Feng led them around the mountain peak, finally stopping at the face of a cliff at the mountain’s base.

The Silver Wolf ran to the cliffside and pawed away the outer branches, revealing a two-meter-high cave entrance.

"I’ve been living here for a while. No Wandering Beastmen have discovered it."

After placing Bai Wanwan down, Zhu Xiu slithered inside first.

He checked the cave’s interior and only relaxed after confirming it was safe.

Bai Wanwan picked up the cubs herself and followed Zhu Xiu into the cave.

A cold wind gusted in, and she shivered.

Fortunately, the cave was spacious, and deeper inside, there was a spot sheltered from the wind.

Xin Feng had already built a nest out of branches and other materials.

Bai Wanwan simply took a mattress out of her System Space and placed it right on top, then spread out a warm cotton quilt and a down comforter.

Zhu Xiu watched from the side. He’d seen her conjure things from thin air back in the Wandering Beast City before.

But now, seeing her produce even larger and more numerous items, Zhu Xiu was still taken aback.

Bai Wanwan turned and saw the surprise in his eyes, grinning as she said, "I’ll tell you a secret."

Before Zhu Xiu could reply, Bai Wanwan spoke up, "That trade caravan from the mid-sized tribe that Yin Da intercepted last time? I have almost all of their things."

Zhu Xiu’s scarlet eyes focused. "Don’t tell any other Beastman about this, besides me and Xin Feng."

Her status as a Holy Female was already enough to attract trouble. If other Beastmen learned she had this kind of ability, the entire continent would be shaken.

"Okay, I won’t tell anyone else. Are you hungry? I’ll grill some meat for you."

As she spoke, Bai Wanwan took a Fire Stone from her System Space, along with some ingredients and tools needed for grilling.

She was holding the Fire Stone, about to light it, when Xin Feng, now in his human form, walked over and took it from her hand. "I’ll do it."

He skillfully started a fire and placed a pot on it.

The temperature in the cave gradually rose.

Acting on instinct, Zhu Xiu took a few steps back. "Fire?"

Xin Feng nodded. "Wanwan knows how to use fire. She taught me."

Since Xin Feng had taken over, Bai Wanwan simply stood up, went to Zhu Xiu’s side, and linked her arm with his.

"As long as you use it correctly, fire isn’t scary. Plus, you can make a lot of delicious food with it. I’ll make something for you to try myself in a little while."
