Delicate Villainess, Desperate Males – A Beast World Reverse Harem
Chapter 41: Do One Thing For Me
Chapter 41: Chapter 41: Do One Thing For Me
Before, if any man had spoken to her like that, Bai Wanwan would have definitely rolled her eyes.
But coming from Xin Feng, his words were so refreshing that everything sounded pleasant to her ears.
Bai Wanwan picked up a piece of meat and held it to his lips. "Your reward."
A smile touched the corners of Xin Feng’s lips as he opened his mouth to accept it.
That was the only time she had to. After that, Bai Wanwan never had to serve herself. Xin Feng was always incredibly observant, placing any dish she wanted into her bowl in the nick of time.
"Hua Sheng, did you say something to me before I passed out?"
She had been too tired and sleepy back then. Xin Feng had been relentless, so she hadn’t paid much attention.
"Yes, Host. I was reminding you that you had successfully conceived."
"That was so fast..."
"Host, you are a Holy Female with the Childbirth System. Conceiving cubs is a very easy matter for you. Not only that, but other females must avoid being intimate after becoming pregnant. You don’t have that concern. Even intimacy with your Beast Husbands won’t harm the cub."
"Thanks, but I’m not really worried about that. I’d much rather get some rest," Bai Wanwan said, nearly rolling her eyes at it.
"Look on the bright side, Host. At least you can live well here. With enough Points, you can do whatever you want in the Beast World."
"’Fine. That’s a pretty picture you’re painting. I’ll reluctantly accept it.’"
For the next three days, it was as if Xin Feng had discovered a whole new world.
She was about to be worn to pieces. Every day, she had to rely on exchanging Points for stamina-replenishing Elixir Pills just to keep going.
Fortunately, the Elixir Pills only cost thirty Points each.
But with this daily expense, her already small stash of Points was dwindling fast.
Xin Feng had grown accustomed to their intimacy now and no longer stiffened up like he did at first.
He loved being close to her. Even after a meal, he liked to hold her and just sit for a while.
"It’s snowing outside."
Xin Feng tidied her hair, his arm around her waist.
Bai Wanwan leaned into him, resting her head on his shoulder and finding a comfortable position.
"Already? Is it snowing hard?"
She was too lazy to even open the door and look. She really hated the cold and had no fondness for snowy days.
"It just started, so it’s not heavy. But in four or five days, there will be a thick layer."
’Winter is perfect for hibernating,’ she thought. ’Being taken care of by Xin Feng every day, doing nothing but eating, sleeping, or playing with the little cubs.’
’I don’t have to worry about a thing.’
The days passed one by one. This particular day, Bai Wanwan had just woken up and was playing with the cubs when Xin Feng called to her from the doorway, "Wanwan, the snow has blocked the door. I’m going to clear it. It’s a little cold, so don’t come out."
"Okay."
She replied lazily. ’In this weather, I don’t even want to move. Go outside? As if.’
After hearing her response, Xin Feng pulled open the door. A blast of cold wind rushed in, along with long-awaited sunlight and a view of the piled-up snow.
Bai Wanwan wrapped the cubs in a beast hide and peeked toward the entrance.
The wind wasn’t strong, but it was certainly much, much colder than inside the cave.
She shivered. Looking at the scene outside, she couldn’t help but click her tongue in amazement. "The snow’s already that thick?"
A thick blanket of snow covered the ground, and the drift outside the cave was already nearly up to Xin Feng’s knees.
"The snow came fast and hard this season, but that’s a good thing. The heavier the snow, the faster the snowy season passes."
Xin Feng said, starting to scoop the snow into a stone basin and toss it aside.
Bai Wanwan lay back down on the sofa, hugging the cubs. ’It would be great if the snowy season passed quickly,’ she thought.
’The sooner it’s over and the warm season arrives, the sooner I can leave the Cat Clan Tribe and go see the world outside...’
After clearing all the snow from the entrance, Xin Feng continued to dig out a wide path.
Next door, several of Hu Ya’s Beast Husbands were doing the same thing.
They were having a bit of bad luck, though. The snow had crushed their wooden door, so after spending half the day clearing it, they still had to repair it.
The two caves were close, and one of Hu Ya’s Beast Husbands, Lu Yi, saw his perfectly restored face.
"Xin Feng, how did your face heal?"
His face was filled with astonishment. The Clan Witch couldn’t even heal it, so how could the scar be completely gone after just a few days?
Hu Ya’s other Beast Husbands also turned to look at him.
Xin Feng just grunted in acknowledgment, clearly not intending to answer, and continued clearing the snow from his entrance.
Hu Ya, like Bai Wanwan, hated the cold and had been hiding in her cave with no intention of coming out.
But Lu Yi’s voice wasn’t quiet. When she heard him, she immediately wrapped herself in two more Beast Skin Skirts and ran to the entrance.
Amidst the swirling snow, Xin Feng stood tall and handsome in his black beast-hide clothing.
Hu Ya froze on the spot, as if she had been transported back to her childhood, seeing him for the first time.
The half of his face that was once as hideous as a Beast now looked just as perfect as the other handsome half, as if it had never been scarred.
"How is that possible?"
Hu Ya was utterly stunned. She even rubbed her eyes.
When she looked again, staring intently, Xin Feng’s face was unchanged—so handsome it was breathtaking.
Hu Ya’s heart began to pound wildly. She wanted Xin Feng!
She subconsciously took a step forward, about to walk outside.
But the frigid air forced her back.
Coming to her senses, she remembered that Xin Feng was already Bai Wanwan’s Beast Husband.
Just then, Xin Feng looked up.
Hu Ya immediately suppressed her jealousy and waved at him joyfully.
"Xin Feng!"
Xin Feng had only looked up to survey the area and hadn’t expected to see Hu Ya. He immediately tossed the snow from the stone basin, turned, and continued his work with his back to her.
Hu Ya refused to give up and kept calling his name, but Xin Feng acted as if he couldn’t hear, ignoring her completely.
’Is Bai Wanwan really so great? He won’t even spare me a single glance.’
Xin Feng worked quickly. In just a few swift motions, he cleared a space in front of the entrance. Unlike Hu Ya’s Beast Husbands, he didn’t continue clearing a larger area. He turned, went back into the stone cave, and sealed the door tightly behind him.
Seeing him go back inside, Hu Ya stomped her foot in a fit of anger.
She turned her head and saw Xin Shan and Xin Yu. Both males also had their backs to her.
She suddenly recalled that it seemed like a long time since either of them had been in her den.
A suspicion rose in her heart. "Xin Shan, Xin Yu, turn and face me."
The two males had no choice but to stop shoveling snow and face her.
"You two like Bai Wanwan now too, don’t you?"
Hu Ya’s red-eyed accusation made Xin Yu so frightened that he dropped the wooden stick he was holding. "I... Yaya, no... that’s not true," he stammered.
Xin Shan’s expression remained unchanged. He just stared at Hu Ya and said, "Yaya, we are your Beast Husbands."
Xin Feng’s snub had already left Hu Ya filled with rage.
The thought that these two males hadn’t been intimate with her lately only fueled her anger.
"Fine. Both of you, come to my den right now."
Xin Yu glanced at his older brother.
Xin Yu’s reaction was purely instinctual; he didn’t even understand the reason for his own change in feelings.
At first, all he thought about was competing with the other Beast Husbands for her affection. But gradually, Hu Ya began to deliberately distance herself from them, which made him miserable.
Eventually, he seemed to grow accustomed to her aloofness and punishments.
"Yaya, the snow is too thick. I need to shovel."
Xin Shan didn’t obey her, instead continuing to shovel snow with the other Beast Husbands.
Xin Yu, still standing beside Hu Ya, watched her expression slowly darken.
"If you two don’t come, you can get out of the cave tonight, and don’t even think about eating."
"Yaya, it’s snowing outside! We’ll freeze solid if we stay out all night," Xin Yu pleaded.
Hu Ya’s heart didn’t soften in the slightest. "You brought this on yourselves! Xin Yu, tell me, have you started to like Bai Wanwan too?"
Xin Yu immediately shook his head. "Yaya, I like you."
Xin Yu glanced at his older brother shoveling snow outside, then grit his teeth. "I was just angry that you were ignoring me before. I’ll go with you now."
With that, he walked over, swept Hu Ya up into his arms, and strode inside.
Xin Yu worked hard to please her, and only then did Hu Ya stop making things difficult for the brothers.
But what Xin Yu didn’t know was that as soon as he was done, Hu Ya went to find her most favored Beast Husband.
"Lu Yi, I have a task for you."
Hu Ya’s face was dark. Bai Wanwan hadn’t just taken Xin Feng, she had also stolen the hearts of two of her Beast Husbands.
