Bai Wanwan had originally planned to go for a walk now that the rain had stopped, but a sudden gust of cold wind immediately talked her out of it.

The Beast World, with no entertainment, was indeed a bit boring. When Xin Feng was around, at least she could chat with him.

After he went out, all she could do was watch over the cubs and play with them.

The cubs were full and sleeping soundly. She scratched one, then petted another.

The cubs snored contentedly, letting out soft purrs.

Of the four cubs, three were male and only one was female—the one that looked the weakest.

Perhaps sensing its Mother’s approach, it opened its mouth and let out a soft "MEOW."

Bai Wanwan’s heart melted at the sight. She immediately scooped her up. "Xiao Xue’er, why are you awake?"

Smelling her Mother’s scent, the cub meowed nonstop, continuously rubbing her small, furry head against Bai Wanwan’s hand.

Bai Wanwan was overwhelmed by the little female cub’s cuteness and couldn’t resist holding her close, taking a few deep whiffs of her scent.

Just as she was happily playing with the cub, she suddenly heard a noise from the doorway.

A blast of cold wind followed.

"Who’s there?"

Bai Wanwan cautiously placed the female cub back in the nest, stood up from the rug, and peered outside.

At a glance, she saw Hu Ya sneaking in from outside.

"What are you doing?"

’What’s wrong with this Hu Ya? Does she think this is her house? Just waltzing in whenever she pleases!’

"Wanwan, I heard you had your cubs, so I came to see you."

She said, craning her neck as she tried to walk inside.

She was dying of curiosity, wanting to see what species Bai Wanwan’s cubs were.

Bai Wanwan shifted to the side, raising a hand to block her.

"I had cubs. What’s that got to do with you?"

"Can’t I just be concerned about you?"

She tried to squeeze past, but Bai Wanwan blocked her solidly, and she couldn’t get through.

So, she stood on her tiptoes to peek inside.

Everything in the cave looked strange, but she didn’t pay it much mind, searching instead for the cubs.

Finally, she saw them: several furry little things lying in a strange nest.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t see what the cubs looked like clearly.

"Hu Ya, spare me the nonsense and get the hell out of my house."

Bai Wanwan was so angry she almost laughed. ’If she’s going to tell a blatant lie, she could at least make it believable. Judging by her past behavior, how could any of it look like she’s concerned about me?’

But just as she finished speaking, Hu Ya suddenly ducked under her arm and slipped past.

Hu Ya charged straight for the cubs.

The cubs were sleeping soundly in the nest. Hu Ya’s eyes swept over them. ’Why are they all Cat Cubs?’

Cat Beastmen all have low Talents. The powerful Beastmen in the tribe were all from other clans.

Two of them were slightly larger...

Before she could get a clear look, she was kicked hard in the lower back.

"OW!"

She cried out in pain and stumbled, falling just off the rug.

Rubbing her back, she turned and glared at her. "Bai Wanwan, what are you doing?"

Bai Wanwan glanced at her without answering, then turned, grabbed a stone basin from the floor, and hurled it at her.

"AH!"

Terrified, Hu Ya scrambled and rolled across the floor.

But she couldn’t escape; the basin smashed into her thigh.

Hu Ya shrieked, scrambling and crawling as she fled for the exit.

Just as she reached the entrance and pulled the door open...

Another kick from behind sent her stumbling forward a couple of steps before she pitched headfirst into the soft, wet mud outside, getting a face full of dirt.

Hu Ya let out a "WAAH!" and started crying, trying to wipe the mud from her face with her hands.

The more she wiped, the bigger the mess became.

Bai Wanwan watched her pitiful state, crossing her arms and looking down at her imperiously. "Still want to come to my house?"

Her face a mess of mud, Hu Ya twisted her head and yelled toward her own home, "You useless fools, aren’t you going to come out and help me!"

Hearing the commotion, Hu Ya’s Beast Husbands opened their door and came out, quickly forming a protective circle around her.

"Bai Wanwan hit me! Hurry up and hit her back for me!"

Her Beast Husbands all turned to look at Bai Wanwan. Knowing there was no way she could fight them all, she simply hurled the stone basin in her hands.

One of the males reached out and caught it. The other males tried to advance, but Xin Shan and Xin Yu were not among them.

"You dare touch me? I’m a Holy Female. It would only take a single word from me to have you all thrown out of the tribe."

The males who were about to step forward hesitated. They truly didn’t dare offend a Holy Female.

"Useless!"

With her Beast Husbands backing her up, Hu Ya was helped to her feet and charged forward to curse at her.

"You think being a Holy Female means you can just hurt other females whenever you want? You nearly broke my leg with that basin!"

"Is that so? You look perfectly fine to me!"

Bai Wanwan’s gaze swept over her leg, and her tone became razor-sharp. "Next time you dare enter my house without permission, I won’t let you off with just a basin to the leg!"

Bai Wanwan was worried the cubs would wake up and crawl out, and she was also worried Hu Ya would order her Beast Husbands to charge into her home. So, she deliberately taunted her, "Your face is covered in mud. You look so ugly. Aren’t your Beast Husbands disgusted by you?"

Only then did Hu Ya react. She let out a cry of "AH!", covered her face, and ran away.

Bai Wanwan didn’t linger either, quickly turning and going back inside.

"She did. She threw a stone basin at me and hurt my hand," Bai Wanwan said, deliberately holding out her hand.

He threw the Unicorn he was carrying on his shoulder to the ground and worriedly rolled up her sleeve.

A fierce light flickered in his eyes as he quickly checked her for injuries.

But after checking twice, he saw that her arm was pristine and white, with no sign of injury anywhere.

"Did it hurt the bone? Does it hurt inside?"

He frowned deeply, his touch extremely gentle as if he were afraid of hurting her further.

Seeing his careful expression, Bai Wanwan let out a "PFFT" of laughter. "I was kidding! I’m the one who hit her. I don’t think she’ll dare to come back so easily."
