Chapter 376: Chapter 376: A Decisive Bite

The moment Yan Lie pushed open the door, a fierce battle had already erupted in the courtyard.

The sudden appearance of Bai Wanwan and her group clearly startled the Beastmen who had broken into the courtyard.

However, after a brief glance, they charged without hesitation toward the cubs, who had been woken up and come out to see what the commotion was about.

Bai Wanwan instantly understood that these uninvited guests were targeting her cubs.

"Quick! Stop them!"

In her panic, Bai Wanwan started to rush forward, but the two Beast Husbands at her side stopped her while the others charged into the fray.

Zhu Xiu and Yan Lie were the first to engage the enemy, while Yin Ze quickly ran to where the cubs were.

The Beastman originally in charge of the cubs was frantic, about to send someone to notify the Young Clan Leader, Chou Rong. The timely arrival of Wanwan’s Beast Husbands immediately turned the tide.

In an instant, bursts of Talent Power clashed violently in the courtyard.

Jin Yi held Bai Wanwan tightly, using his Talent Power to form a protective barrier around her.

Xin Feng stood guard in front, vigilantly watching the shifting tides of battle.

The Beastmen who had come to snatch the cubs clearly hadn’t expected to find so many High Rank Beastmen here, and their plan was thrown into complete disarray.

"You’d best not meddle in things that don’t concern you. Get out of here now! Getting involved won’t do you any good!"

Bai Wanwan snorted. "You’re trying to snatch my cubs, and you’re telling me not to meddle?"

Only then did the males realize that the aura of the only female in the courtyard was remarkably similar to that of Chou Rong’s cubs.

’She... She’s Chou Rong’s Wife?’

The lead Beastman’s eyes darted. "Grab her and the cubs!"

Xin Feng and Jin Yi fell back, protecting her as they went.

"They’re targeting you and the cubs. I’m afraid they want to take you as hostages to threaten Chou Rong," Xin Feng said in a low voice.

Bai Wanwan nodded and gently tugged on Jin Yi’s arm. "I need to get to the children."

"Alright, let’s go."

After reuniting with Yin Ze under the escort of the two Beast Husbands, Xin Feng immediately joined the battle.

Surprisingly, the cubs showed no fear.

Even the smallest of them, the Cat Cub, had its fur on end, its back arched as it let out a threatening growl.

The tiger cubs were even more eager to fight. If the guards hadn’t been holding them back, they would have charged into the battlefield long ago.

Bai Wanwan gently tapped the cubs on their foreheads. "Charging in recklessly when the odds are against you is just foolish. A smart cub wouldn’t do that."

Drawn in by their Mother’s voice, the cubs gradually calmed down, tilting their little heads up to look at her.

"Want to know what a smart cub would do in this situation?" Bai Wanwan asked, patting their heads.

She saw that with her Beast Husbands in the fight, the enemy wasn’t gaining any ground. In fact, they were being pushed back again and again. The situation was well in hand.

The little ones all shook their heads, their round eyes filled with curiosity.

Bai Wanwan smiled, sinking her fingers into their fluffy fur. "When a smart cub can’t beat an opponent, they find a way to escape and get help, or they wait until they’re stronger to get even. They don’t fight a stronger enemy with a weaker force."

She pointed to the battlefield. "When you grow up and become as strong as your Father Beasts, you can teach those bad Beastmen a harsh lesson."

The cubs’ eyes instantly lit up. "Mother... can we really be that strong?"

"Of course. You might even become stronger than your Father Beasts!"

This litter of cubs was born shortly after she transmigrated. At the time, the system’s functions were limited, so the children’s Talents hadn’t been fully optimized.

Although their Talents were relatively low, she had the system to help her.

As long as she earned enough Points in the future, she could raise the Talent Power of her first litter of cubs.

"Mother... are they our Father Beasts too?" the Cat Cub asked, blinking its big eyes as it looked at the males protecting them.

"That’s right. They are all my Beast Husbands, so of course, they’re also your Father Beasts."

The Cat Cub jumped up and down excitedly. "That’s great! I have so many strong Father Beasts!"

A wave of happiness and pride spread among the cubs.

For as long as they could remember, they had never seen their Mother, and their Father Beast rarely appeared.

Whenever they snuck out and saw other cubs with their parents, they would ask where their own Mother was.

When they learned they might never see her, they were devastated, even petulantly claiming they didn’t want to see their Mother anyway.

But it turned out their Mother was so beautiful and gentle, and they had so many powerful Father Beasts.

While Bai Wanwan was talking with the cubs, the battle was already nearing its end.

"Let us go!"

Zhu Xiu’s Snake Tail had five Beastmen bound tightly. No matter how much they struggled, they couldn’t break free from the grasp of the Orange Rank King Cobra.

Bai Wanwan called over the Beastman who had been watching the cubs. "Take the children back to their room to rest, and make sure you guard them well."

Then she turned to the cubs and said gently, "Go on, my sweet cubs. Go to sleep for now. After your Father Beasts deal with these bad guys, I’ll take you out to play in a few days."

The thought that her children might have never left this area made Bai Wanwan’s heart ache.

She silently resolved to end this crisis as quickly as possible so her children could grow up free and happy.

After the cubs obediently followed the Beastman back to their room, Bai Wanwan, protected by Jin Yi and Yin Ze, approached the captives.

"Who sent you?" Her gaze swept across the face of each Tiger Beast.

A battle-scarred Tiger Beast glared viciously at them. "We are acting on the Clan Leader’s orders! If you dare to interfere, the Clan Leader will never let you go!"

"Why does the Clan Leader want to capture Chou Rong’s cubs?" Zhu Xiu hissed, his forked tongue flicking in and out threateningly.

"What’s it to you? If you know what’s good for you, let us go! Obstructing the Clan Leader’s important business is the same as making an enemy of the entire Tiger Clan!"

Bai Wanwan feigned curiosity. "Oh? Well, how are we supposed to know if you don’t tell us? Why don’t you spill it? Maybe we can even lend your Clan Leader a hand."

She had a vague suspicion that this Tiger Clan Leader was the very person Chou Rong was guarding against. But for the Young Clan Leader to be in such a position, there had to be a hidden story.

"You’re the Mother of Chou Rong’s cubs. If you come with us now, maybe the Clan Leader will let all of you go."

Bai Wanwan smiled. "If our situations were reversed, I might consider your offer. But as things are now..."

Her gaze swept over the Beastmen. "What gives you the right to say something like that to me? Besides, why would I side with your Clan Leader against my own Beast Husbands and cubs? Are you insane, or am I?"

The Beastmen all had a bad feeling about this.

They hadn’t even known this female existed.

Chou Rong, who had refused to mate with the Holy Female of the Phoenix Clan, had actually fathered children with a common female.

’Chou Rong’s cubs have mediocre Talents, so their Mother must be a common female.’

Bai Wanwan calmly sat down on a stone stool. "So, tell me, how does your Clan Leader plan to deal with Chou Rong?"

"Don’t even think about getting any information from us!"

"Is that so?" The corners of Bai Wanwan’s lips curved up as she spoke softly to the poised King Cobra, "Zhu Xiu, since he’s not willing to talk, go ahead and dispose of him."

Before her words had even faded, the King Snake struck like lightning, its fangs sinking deep into the Tiger Beast’s flesh.
